1 Introduction

Amber was apart of the Everwood family. She was there only child, her father, Mathew Everwood was apart of the council that had members of vampires and humans. Yes, vampires are real and the council are trying to make both humans and vampires get along.

The council consisted of four vampires and four humans. Amber's father was the main leader of the human group. The council deals with any supernatural things happening in the world.

Anyway, Amber was 17 with long auburn hair. She had green eyes that glistened in the sunlight. She wasn't the prettiest person in the ball room but she was noticeable. The one thing Amber hated was gatherings between vampires and humans. With her father being an important person in the council she had to turn up to the gatherings.

This time the gathering was a ball. To celebrate the anniversary of humans and vampires living peacefully together. There were humans dancing with vampires and everyone talking to each other but Amber felt that she was the odd person in the room. She was wearing a dark green gown that came of the shoulders and her hair tide up in a messy bun with this her neck was revealed.

She scanned the room in search for her father. There he was talking to the other members of the council. As she continued scanning the ballroom her eyes fell on a tall, handsome blonde boy. He looked the same age as her but she instantly knew that he was a vampire so he was obviously much older than she was. She did not realize that she had been staring at the man for a minute or so. When her thoughts came back she saw the man staring at her aswell. There eyes locked she quickly looked away and hurried out the room. She did not like most vampires because her mother was brutally murdered by vampires right in front of her eyes.

She escaped into the pitch black night, she was surrounded by flowers and trees. She was in the garden.

Fresh air helped Amber gather her thoughts and emotions. Shocked that she stared at a vampire she let out a long sigh. Her pulse was rising with embarrassment and hatred.
