4 Chapter 4

I sit down and introduce myself, "My name is Hannah, it's nice to meet you all. As for what's in my lunchbox, it is a secret." I say.

Karera attempts to grab my lunchbox to take a peek but I let out a hiss, revealing one of my fangs. "Vam-" I cover their mouth, cutting them off.

"If you want me to be nice, then don't go shouting things like that. But yes, I am indeed a Vampire." I whisper since some of the students are staring directly at me.

"So cool!" Yami says. "I know somewhere we can go without anyone to overhear us. Plus it's safe and there are no windows." She adds. Yami then drags the four of us into the heart and center of the school, the theater.

"Woah. This place is nice and dark, I like it." I say, smiling. We all walk over to the first row of seats and sit down. "The teachers won't mind if we use the theater as our lunch spot right?" I ask Yami.

"Of course not! We're all in drama class. Well, except William, he doesn't do anything drama related. What about you, Hannah, do you have drama class?" Yami asks. I pull out the blood-filled bottles and drink two before answering.

"No. I don't have drama class. William and I have the same classes together." I say before drinking a third bottle of blood. "There's something you guys should know before you begin bombarding me with questions. My father, he's a vampire hunter, except now he's retired. He retired after… the incident that happened with my mom. He- He threatens to kill me if I even come close to him, and I know he will. None of you can come over to my house because then my father might call the Vampire Hunter's society to take me away and kill me. Now you may ask your questions." I add, drinking the last bottle of blood.

William asks, "Can you make me into a vampire?!" I laugh and shake my head.

"I could, but I never learned how. My mother died before she could teach me." I answer.

Shizen then asks, "How many vampires are left in the world?" I have to think a bit about this one.

"Let's see… If I remember my Uncle Kuro is the last full grown vampire alive. So there's only two of us as my Uncle never got married." I answer.

"Intriguing. Does sunlight really burn you?" Shizen asks, I can see the interest in his eyes and nod.

"Yes, there was this one time at school, when my mother was on a business trip for work, my father didn't know back then that my mother nor I were vampires, and my skin was sunburned for several weeks after that." I answer with a smile, clearly remembering the worried look in my mother's eyes when she came home and saw how badly burned I was.

Yami smiles and asks, "Can you really turn into a bat?" I smile and shrug.

"I don't know. If I can then my mother never taught me. You would have to ask my Uncle but I don't know where he lives." I answer.

Karera asks, "What kind of powers do you have? Can you talk to animals?" I smile and laugh, nodding.

"I talk to my cat all the time!" I answer, giggling. "As for what kind of powers I have, none that I know of other than being able to understand my cat." I add.

"So cool!" Everyone says, including William.

I laugh and shake my head, "You guys are a weird bunch and I'm glad to be a part of it!" I say with a smile.
