11 Chapter 11

I wait with Yami for Shizen, William, and Karera to wake up. "Don't tell the others about what I told you Yami, I don't want them to think that my mother was more human than vampire. Besides, you guys seem to look up to my Uncle. Why?" I ask.

Yami smiles and says, "He's the oldest living Vampire left alive, of course we look up to him! Plus Vampires are supposed to be extinct."

"Werewolves blend in among humans way easier than Vampires do, it's why we're so close to extinction, plus they're technically humans with a stronger sense of smell and the instincts of a wolf. Werewolves don't have the ability to shift into actual wolves, or halfwolves, like you humans portray them. Mermaids and mermen are just humans with the ability to breath underwater for hours at a time. Centaurs are just hybrids between humans and horses from like a million years ago. Witches and Wizards are just humans who are magically inclined and more aware of magic. Vampires are the one and only true supernatural. We don't even drink human blood, it's always either animal blood or a blood substitute." I say, practically trusting Yami with the knowledge of real supernaturals and fake ones.

Yami stares at me for a moment before responding, "Wow, I never knew that. It's kind of mean of us humans to kill your kind without remorse like the way we have been for generations." She hugs me. Just then William and Shizen wake up.

"Look, the girls are sharing a moment." Shizen says, chuckling a little.

William laughs and says, "Yup, they sure are." I narrow my eyes and let go of Yami before leaving the room.
