What I've I done to deserve such life,I thought to my self as I run through the eerie dense forest,Thorns of flowers cutting my skin causing it to bleed, Without even looking at my legs I know they are in the worst condition.What a life I murmured as I kept running.Having not even the slightest fear in me.I tumbled on a stone and fell down.I struggled to stand up with mud all over me.I decided to take a rest but the thought of getting caught and brought back to that village then to the hell I call a house,where I will be punished for trying to attempt such act as running away.gives me chill and energy to continue running... I ran till dusk..I was hungry tired tasty..I was already weak and couldn't run anymore,But I kept walking,giving luck a last hope, hoping to atleast see another village.Where I can start a new life.i heard the sound of running water, and I dragged myself towards it.I saw it water,it's water,water of life..I said to my self as tears streaked down my cheeks.I washed my hand and deeped it into the clean clear water,gulp gulp gulp..I kept gulping down water till I was filled.I shook my body to hear the water in my stomach making sounds too.I saw a guava tree very close to the river,I walked towards it and plucked three..so big I murmured as I have a bite so sweet I said relishing the taste..I ate to my satisfaction and wondered when last I had my stomach filled to the brim..I wastoo filled and was unable to walk..I decided to have a little rest and fell asleep....Ouch ouch my cheek burnt.U little wench what are you doing here.I opened my eyes to see two unrecognizable men, have I been Will I be brought back to the village, another slap landed on my cheeks to as I left my trail of thought behind to face reality.what is your name and what are you doing here.I..I I..m Ada..Adamma I stuttered, your fate has been decided one of the men said as they dragged me alongside them.I was dragged to where I saw someplace like a market.But there was no goods.i saw some people being dragged like myself.. some were chained why some were tied.. what the heck Is going on here,Why are those people chained.I dare not say it aloud..I was dragged to meet a man who looks like one in authority,We found her sir said one of the man..Hahaha the man laughed hysterically more money more money he said..And she's a beauty,take her inside Dozer ,he said and the bigger one of the two men dragged me..till I saw a ship..I was shoved inside one of the rooms.after some turns and turns In the ship,So many people where cramped in the room, some were chained while others were left free..The room was not brightly lit as there was only one window. Children were wailing while the old ones were cursing.I still do not know what's going on..I saw people who were about my age too some were crying while others accepted their fate..I couldn't see their face clearly.Whats your name a woman around 40 years asked me..Ada..Adamma I replied..You look young how old are you,16 I replied.Pls can you tell me what's going on.
