25 Part 25 - Finale Of The First Saga

They set sail back to Spider Miles as quickly as possible. The news of the battle had already been reported and the marines would probably be moving in immense force towards them any minute. A newspaper dropped onto their deck, the headline saying: 'The Destruction of Omugana Village'.

It detailed how the Vaeg pirates had destroyed impossible amounts of ships and slaughtered everyone within the village such as the Black Dagger pirates, citizens and marines including the giant marine, Ronze. The bounties for them were definitely about to be raised according to the newspaper.

It was late afternoon by the time Spider Miles came into view.

"It looks like they exaggerated a lot of things. This doesn't look good! What are we going to do if they send an admiral?" Jimmy panicked.

"They won't send a fucking admiral, we're not that good... yet." Nargo patted Jimmy on the back.

"We'd be crushed if even someone similar to Kozo's strength comes. We're all drained mentally and physically." Jimmy carried on.

"Stop being so negative Jimmy! Take pride in the fact that we are wanted!" Belsari puffed her chest out.

"Take pride!? Are you crazy!?"

"What's done is done. No changing the past." Barbosa said.

"I guess you're right Barbosa. Anyway, once we get to Spider Miles we'll split the group in two, so we can keep the ship safe and do our business. It will be a quick trip, so I'll only need a few people. Me, Sam, Nargo and Vaeg will go whilst the rest of you keep the ship safe." Jimmy announced.

A dark figure appeared behind Jimmy.

"Doctor Vaeg! Is it that hard to remember? I'll help you out by operating on your brain, maybe then you'll remember." Vaeg growled.

"The only reason you're going is because of Syr." Jimmy tried calming Vaeg.

"Who?" Vaeg scratched his head.

"Sam's sister. You know the one you met yesterday or the day before." Jimmy explained.

"Oh... the slut."

"How dare you?! That's my sister you're talking about." Sam said infuriated.

"What do you want? A medal." Vaeg said turning back to Jimmy.

"Why you little-"

"I can say it's not little. Ask your sister, she'll tell you. Or do you want a demonstration?" Vaeg started unbuckling his trousers.

"NO!" Everyone shouted.

"That's enough arguing. We've arrived." Jimmy broke off the conversation.

However, to their surprise, the town was bustling to the brim, every shop decorated in ludicrous colours to attract attention. The smog had vanished somehow and the crew all scratched their heads, trying to adapt to the unbelievable transition.

"Quick question Sam. Did we take a wrong turn?" Jimmy asked.

"No. We just arrived here on a bank holiday Sunday." Sam replied.

"Are you joking?"

"No, I'm being completely serious."

"I see... Whilst the two captains are gone Ronin is in charge by the way." Jimmy said starting to dock the ship.

"Wait, you're putting the oversized puppy in charge?" Jenkins said, a bit disheartened.

"Yeah, you got a problem with that?"

"No captain."

"Since there's no complaints, we'll start heading off."

"Wait! Before you go where will I be sleeping?" Veronica asked.

"For now, Tim Tim's room. He doesn't use his bed so it's practically free. I would've let you sleep in Belsari's room but we've assessed her room as hazardous due to her inventions. I hope you understand." Jimmy said, leaving the ship.

"I mean you could always accompany me in my room fair lady." Whatz D Face hinted.

"I'd rather not vampire. Little bunny won't try and drink my blood in my sleep." Veronica replied coldly.

"I wouldn't do that to you. But I could do some other stuff-"

"No thanks creep. I prefer little bunny infinite times more."

Whatz D Face crumpled to the ground, whimpering, "A creep? She called me a creep! How do Vaeg and even bucket boy beat me at seduction?"

"Are you alright Mister Whatz D Face?" Tim Tim asked, trying to console Whatz D Face but only making him cry harder.

Barbosa started running up the mast and began replacing their pirate sails with marine sails.

Meanwhile, the other group headed into Bun-Man's shop.

"What's up Bun-Man?" Sam asked.

"Came back for more so soon, did we?" Bun-Man smiled.

"Those honey iced doughnuts were just too good that we needed another batch." Sam replied.

"Of course, right this way."

The four of them entered the casino, spotting Syr and started heading towards her. Murmurs ensued as the group walked deeper into the casino. Syr was beating someone at cards again, shackling them and having them dragged away.

"We're back sis." Sam sighed.

"Already! Well I suppose this would be your first destination after all. What do you need? Also, where's maste- I mean Vaeg?" Syr asked quickly glancing around.

"He was just here a second ago. We really can't take our eyes off of him for a second can we?" Jimmy sighed.

"You mean me slut?" Vaeg suddenly appeared behind Syr.

"I've missed you so much da- Vaeg."

"Maybe I should punish you for not showing me some formality."

"Please do!"

"That's enough!" Sam shouted, disturbing the eerie atmosphere of the casino momentarily, "We just need to exchange some bounties and find an island to lie low. At least wait to do that once I've gone."

"I think your brother's jealous." Vaeg whispered.

"It's fine. Let him be. I'll tell you what you need but master Vaeg has asked for some services afterwards. First off, that flashy dude over there, he's the exchanger at the moment. As for the second one, there's an island west of here called Sphinx island. It's unpopulated and only a few people know of it despite its pretty big size. No one will bother you there. Is that all you needed?" Syr said, glaring at Sam's disapproval.

"That's all we needed. Thanks for the information Syr." Jimmy said and turned to Vaeg, "you'll only have about 20 minutes once we leave, otherwise we'll go without you."

"You won't leave your best crew member considering I'm the captain, Jimbo." Vaeg smirked.

"I can't be bothered right now with what you just said." Jimmy sighed and started heading over to the exchanger. Vaeg and Syr headed to the back room. "And don't switch the speaker on!" Jimmy added.

Nargo, Jimmy and Sam stood before the exchanger. He wore a pink scarf, sunglasses, blond spiky hair and had a mischievous grin.

"So you're the guys responsible for the destruction of Omugana Village. Impressive work. What services do you require?" he snarled.

"Exchange of bounties." Sam said.

"Let me see the heads. Hmm, my cut will be 75%." He mumbled.

"Bullshit! 10%." Nargo intervened.

"Do you think I was born yesterday? 50%, take it or leave it."

"20%"

"We're almost at an agreeable rate. I'd say 30%."

"Let's meet in the middle and say 25%."

"That's fine with me." Nargo and the exchanger shook hands.

The exchanger disappeared then came back out with four briefcases and handed them to Jimmy.

"Pleasure doing business with you."

"And you too." Jimmy shook the exchanger's hand as well and the group decided to leave, trusting Vaeg would arrive on time.

Once they exited the casino, Jimmy handed a briefcase to Sam. "That's your cut. I was just wondering though, why don't you join our crew? You're knowledgeable and experienced."

"I'm flattered by your offer but I'm getting too old for this. I want to live out the rest of my life in peace and quiet." Sam said.

"That's a shame but if that's what you want. Anyway, Nargo take two of these briefcases to the ship. I'll go get two months supply of food etc. Sam if you want to say goodbye to the rest of the crew, go with Nargo. I wish the best for you in the future." Jimmy said and sprinted towards the nearest store.

Nargo and Sam headed towards the ship. Sam said his goodbyes and headed off back into Spider Miles. Vaeg eventually appeared with Jimmy using a cart to transport the supplies. Once everything and everyone had boarded, they immediately sailed west.

After a couple of hours, an island appeared on the horizon. Covered in forests, untouched by many. The sun started setting and the crew found a small cove to dock their ship in.

"Be warned guys, this island is probably going to contain a range of dangerous animals. Other than that, do what you want for two months, although I suggest training." Jimmy announced.

"Mister Jimmy, can you give me some rations? Me and Ronin are going out into the wild for those two months." Tim Tim asked.

"Are you crazy!? Your wounds haven't healed fully yet!" Jimmy argued.

"Ok, but I want to train in a natural setting with little to no distractions." Tim Tim replied.

"If you insist." Jimmy sighed.

"I'll go with little bunny." Veronica piped up.

"Are you sure Miss Veronica? I can take care of myself, you don't need to worry." Tim Tim reassured.

"I know but you'll need someone with some medical expertise my little bunny. Also, I want you to teach me the way of the sword since just using fists in the Grand Line is nothing short of suicide."

"Which sword?" Nargo whispered to Jimmy and they both started howling in laughter. Everyone just ignored them.

"If you want to then I wouldn't mind some company." Tim Tim said as he went downstairs to collect some things.

"Something caught my eye on the way into this island, so I'm heading over there." Belsari said but just as she went to leave the ship, Jimmy grabbed her arm.

"Flamethrower please." Jimmy demanded.

"She has a name and it's Kotohi. Also, why do I have to give her up?"

Jimmy started laughing, "There is a lot of forest on this island. If your friend Kotohi were to set fire to it then we'd draw lots of attention to ourselves. Now give me Kotohi."

"Fine." Belsari pouted, giving Jimmy the flamethrower.

"I'm going to accompany our fair lady Veronica." Whatz D Face said, attempting to edge closer to her.

"Actually you're coming with me." Jenkins told Whatz D Face.

"What?" Whatz D Face's face grew paler which shouldn't have been possible.

"I heard that you used a shadow gun. I need to acquaint you with proper marksmanship skills, otherwise that skill will be useless." Jenkins explained.

"You wouldn't want to be a creep, perv and a loser, right vampire?" Veronica said, her words stabbing Whatz D Face.

"Alright, I'll go with you Jenkins." Whatz D Face conceded.

"Perfect, right this way." Jenkins grinned a little too excitedly.

Leroy and Barbosa were hyping each other up as they had agreed on a hard-core training schedule which included one to one combat, fishing, stamina drills and more fishing. Jimmy thought the idea sounded pretty good and planned something with Nargo to increase Nargo's abilities and help both of their close range combat.

Jimmy, Nargo, Leroy and Barbosa waved off the crew whilst Vaeg was planning on experimenting with his patient Lt. Dawn, who was a shattered remnant of his prideful self.

"Remember, to meet back at the ship two months from now." Jimmy shouted.

Vaeg quickly popped his head up from below deck, "Where's bucket boy?"

"He's not coming back for two months, why?" Jimmy asked.

"He was supposed to help me out with collecting some debts. Looks like I'll have to do it myself. That brings me to the subject of where are the vampire and girl that is somewhat useful?" Vaeg asked.

"Whatz D Face has gone off to train with Jenkins and Belsari headed off somewhere." Jimmy replied.

"Of course! Looks like I'll have to wait to collect then. I forgot to remind them of the 200% interest as well... oh well! That means more org- I mean money for me." Vaeg ducked below deck before Jimmy could question him further.

"Can I have my fucking money now?" Nargo asked impatiently.

"We'll split it after everyone returns, you don't need it now considering we're on a deserted island." Jimmy snapped.

"What's that fucking smell?" Nargo wrinkled his nose.

"Sorry about that! Vaeg made me collect a lot of bodies, so he had food for the two months." Barbosa shouted over.

"I see Belsari found the remote to turn off that annoying auto answer Vaeg." Jimmy pointed out, ignoring the answer to the question he wished Nargo didn't ask.

Jimmy and Nargo headed down to the beach to start their training preparations. The sun slowly dipped below the horizon, their first big journey coming to an end. But once the sun reappeared, the next journey would begin. A much longer, much more difficult journey.
