This strict cultivation method from the ancient treasure responsible for his rebirth wants him to become a demon, while the MC just wants to live forever. A fanfic of Against the Gods with a comedic, lighthearted tone for the most part. Reading the source material isn't required, the MC has his own path to follow. MC is self aware of xianxia tropes, but not Against the Gods as a novel. LONG TERM HIATUS on account of the fact that I was having a difficult time fleshing out totally original characters to reach cannon.
