50 Chapter 50 -The Prophecy

When Mi Young opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed in her surroundings was the fact that it was all white.

Everything around her is white. Just like the vision she saw back when she was fighting the Seelie queen.

Mi Young tried to move her body but just like the last time, she still can't move at all.

When she tried to walk, a voice immediately stopped her.

"The child has come to hear the prophecy." The voice that seemed to belong to a man says.

Mi Young looks around, trying to search for the source of the voice. "Who are you? And what prophecy are you talking about?"

However she gets no response.

When Mi Young thought that the voice had already left, it started talking again.

This time, it was telling her something like a poem that Mi Young doesn't understand at all.

"A maiden from the land where the sun never shined,

shall bring forth an event that will untie all binds.

This maiden shall be called many names,

she shall begin the prophecy told by destiny's flames.

The maiden shall go South and seek the truth.

and bring back what was stolen from her youth.

This maiden shall be betrayed by the one she calls her friend,

and the path she takes will be her end.

Fear not maiden for you have two choices,

learn how to be deaf and listen to the voices.

You shall either be the cursed or the chosen one.

And your life's journey will either end or began."

"What the hell are you saying?" Mi Young shouts at nothing. However, she did not receive any reply again. "Who is this maiden? What the hell…show yourself!"

Mi Young waited for the voice to come back again but all she heard was nothing.

Just when she was about to give up, everything around her started to disappear, including the ground beneath her.

Mi Young can feel her whole body falling down as she shouts for help.

Mi Young wakes up in her bed inside her penthouse.

She pinches herself to make sure that she isn't dreaming anymore.

The black haired girl tries to remember everything that happened from the moment she and Se Heon were caged down to the fact that they were able to go hom using Kah Ih Doo's fangs.

She felt like everything that just happened were all parts of her dream but looking at the necklace she was wearing as well as the basket full of violet lamp grass and two books placed on the bedside table near her bed, Mi Young knew everything that happened were all real.

The young girl gets up from her bed as she remembers the prophecy given to her.

Remembering every word on the prophecy, she scribbles it in her notepad and goes to change her dirtied clothes.

After doing so, Mi Young sets foot on the academy grounds as she goes towards the academy building to find someone she was looking for.

Mi Young was about to go to the place where she wanted to go when a familiar face stopped her.

"Mi Young! Since when did you come back?" Jong In shouts as he holds the black haired girl's shoulders.

"Uhm..I just got back…" Mi Young says with uncertainty.

"I was so worried about you. You were gone and I tried looking for you but the others said that maybe you went somewhere to cultivate so I stopped looking for you." Jong In says with a pout. But then he smiles again as he regards Mi Young, "But now that you're back, I can't wait to let you see my progress!"

"That's cool I'll look at it later but I need to go—"

"And I can't wait to see our class getting recognized next week!"

"Next week? What's up next week?"

Jong In cocks his head to the side. "Well it's—"

"Mi Young!" Another voice calls out.

Mi Young turned her head to see Shin Shang Min running towards her. "Oh my god, you're really back!"

"Uh yes but guys I need—"

"You don't know how worried I was!" The blonde says as she engulfs Mi Young in a huge hug. "You were gone for two months and I thought something bad happened to you!"

"I'm back now, but please excuse me for a while. I really need to go see someone." Mi Young says, ignoring Shang Min's words as she leaves the two students alone while she jogs out of the academy building. The two looked at each other before they decided to follow the black haired girl.

Mi Young enters the cafeteria and her eyes immediately scan all the tables inside.

When her eyes landed at a familiar mop of hair, Mi Young didn't waste any time as she dragged her feet towards the boy's table.

"Se Heon!" Mi Young calls out.

Jeon Se Heon's ears immediately perked up upon hearing his name. When his eyes met Mi Young's, he immediately stood up and went towards the black haired girl.

"Hi!" Se Heon says in a cheery tone.

"Now's not the time to be happy, let's talk." Mi Young says. She didn't even wait for the other party's response before she started dragging him towards the back of the cafeteria.

Just as they rounded the corner, Shang Min and Jong In arrived at the cafeteria.

"She's not here." Shang Min says when she realized Mi Young isn't inside anymore.

"Are you looking for Mi Young?" A manly voice says behind them. Jong In and Shang Min's head whips at the source of the voice, they find the expressionless Jeon Shi Yun looking at them. "She went out."

"Where?"

"The back."

Shang Min and Jong In exchanged glances before they nodded at each other.

"Let's go."

"What happened to you?"

"Nothing. I just woke up in my bed. I thought everything was just a dream but then my friends told me I was gone for two months so then I realized that everything was indeed real." Se Heon explains as he shrugs his shoulders. "How about you? Why do you looks so agitated?"

"Wait? What do you mean you were gone for two months?"

"Uhn. We were both gone for two months." Se Heon deadpans. "Actually, the class battle will begin next week. Good thing we have secret battle techniques that we were able to get from the past and so…"

Mi Young didn't hear the other words that came out from Se Heon's mouth as she tried to register the fact the boy just said.

They were gone for two months. Where in fact they only spent two days and a half from the past.

She wasted two months of her life in the academy where she could have learned lots of battle techniques.

"Sh*t." Mi Young whispers.

Se Heon was about to say something when a voice interrupted him.

"I didn't know you two are close."

Se Heon turns to the source of the voice as his eyes turn cold, "Well, I didn't know you're an eavesdropper, Shi Yun. Is that what mom and dad taught you? If so, they're really good."

"How dare you say that about mom and dad!" Shi Yun announces as he regards his older brother with an angry stare.

"Enough you two!" Mi Young says. She turned to Shi Yun and asked, "What do you want?"

The raven haired boy looked at her before he answered, "Professor Nam is looking for you. He says he has something to tell you."

Mi Young nodded her head before she turned to Se Heon who was now looking at her with a cheeky smile. "You. We'll talk later."

"Aye Aye!" Se Heon answers before giving Mi Young a salute.

After that, Mi Young walks past Shi Yun as they both start walking towards their professor's office.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even see Shang Min and Jong In following them.

When she entered the professor's office, she saw the teacher talking to the red haired Jeon who nodded his head at her.

"Ah! Mi Young! Good timing!" Professor Nam says as he turns his head towards the newcomer. "I was just instructing Ho Shi about the change of the teams that will represent our class for next week's class battle."

"Yes Sir, what do you intend to tell me?"

"As I was saying, I want you to be the team leader for our class."

Mi Young wanted to cry and tell him she hasn't learned anything in two months and she would just fail the team.

"But Sir—"

"Oh and by the way, I already have the list of the enemies we will be facing." Professor Nam starts to say as he holds a piece of paper from his drawer. "And the first team we're going to be facing is Jeon Se Heon's team from the Geo faction."
