47 Chapter 47 - The Maiden VS The Queen
"Se Heon doesn't belong to anyone but himself!" Mi Young says in a grave voice.
"I wish that could be true but again, the rules in our kingdom cannot be broken by anyone. So your friend belongs to me." The queen says. Then she turns to one of her servants, "Fetch some clothes for our newest member. I want it to be pretty because he's handsome."
The queen then turns to Mi Young as she says with a smile, "I want to thank you for everything you've done for me and my kingdom. Although I lost lots of servants, at least I gained another. And just like what they all say, if one door closes, another one will open."
"You!" Mi Young shouts. She calls on her mana energy as she points at the queen, "Let's fight."
"Your Highness!" One of the Seelie guards says as he runs up to the queen in order to protect her. However, the queen held out a hand to stop him. "But Your Highness, we can take care of he—"
"Let me." The queen says as she starts to stand up. Her men started to protest once more but she topped them all with just one glare. "It has been ages since I last fought. Good thing you offered so I can at least know my progress."
Mi Young didn't answer the queen as she threw her a glare. She's willing to fight anyone just so she could save Se Heon.
The queen walks towards Mi Young as she regards the girl with her cold stare. "How interesting. Such a small being like you wanted to fight someone like me. Interesting indeed."
"Enough talk. Show me what you got,."
The queen only laughed at MI Young as she heard what the black haired girl was saying. "I don't think you can handle me yet, little girl."
Mi Young didn't waste any of her time as she executed a battle technique and threw a fireball at the queen.
The queen of the Seelies didn't expect her attack which surprised her because she was almost hit by the fireball.
The Seelies that were all watching them bared their sharp canines at Mi Young once more.
The queen of the Seelies shouted something in their language and all of the other Seelies immediately took Mi Young's companion hostage.
"Now, no one can interfere with our fight." The queen says with a smile.
"Queen Yana, we can handle this—"
"I said enough!" The queen shouts as she points a finger at the male Seelie. Seconds later, the Seelie started shaking as if he was being strangled to death. His shouts only died down when his body disintegrated into nothing but dust.
"What did you do?" Mi Young whispers, there was disbelief in her eyes.
"I took care of an annoying servant. I hate it when they keep on interfering with my affairs like that." The other party explains, looking calm even though she just lost one of her servants. She dusted off her dress as if nothing happened as she turned her gaze back at her opponent. "Oh right, where were we again?"
"You're evil…" Mi Young is full of hatred.
"Heard a lot of that coming from the other races, darling. Don't you have something more original?" The Seelie queen says in a sarcastic manner.
"You're really evil." Was all Mi Young said before she launched another attack.
However, the queen was already anticipating her move because the next second, she materialized somewhere far away from Mi Young.
"You…"
"My bad, I forgot to tell you that I can teleport." The queen says with a smile. "Or can do this."
Then, she pointed her fingers at Mi Young and with just a flick of her hands, Mi Young went flying across the room, her back crashing at the tables filled with deserts.
"Oh no. Did I use too much force?" The queen lies, faking the concern in her voice. When she sees Mi Young standing up, she clasps her hands in delight. "I knew you're not that weak."
"Mi Young! You're not much for her!" Se Heon shouts. "Just let me go and get back to Medusa immediately. She needs you more than I do!"
The queen looks at Se Heon before she returns her gaze to Mi Young, "Your friend is right. You can still back down while I'm offering."
"Nonsense. Retreating is not in my vocabulary.'' Mi Young says. She starts to produce another fireball once more but this time, she didn't immediately fire it on the queen. Then she smirks at the confused queen. "I think you forgot the most important thing for you now."
Mi Young then shows her the three vials in her hands. "You forgot this, Your Highness."
The queen looked at the belt where she put her vials and realized that it was already empty.
"You cheating little creature!" The queen shouts, this time she sounded angry and mad. The emotion Mi Young was looking for earlier. She was sick of the queen playing nice.
"I wasn't aiming for you earlier. I actually learned from the best cheater in the whole kingdom," Mi Young starts to say as she plays with the vials before she throws them in the ground, making them shatter into pieces, then she sets her blood on fire. Mi Young hears the queen shout in rage. "You."
Upon hearing Mi Young's words, the queen immediately called on her mana as she produced wind.
"So you're an Anemo user." Mi Young whispers as she tries to hold on to something that won't let the queen's wind take her.
"You are so dead." Mi Young hearts the queen say before she disappears from her sight. Seconds later, she appears in front of the anticipating Mi Young who immediately throws a fireball at her. The queen was able to dodge from the black haired girl's attack but she lost her grip onto Mi Young which the black haired girl took as an opportunity to run away.
"Fight them!" Mi Young shouts at her companions. Her companions woke up from their dazed expressions as they too started fighting off the Seelies holding them. Although they were fewer in numbers, they still have different abilities that can help them fight off the Seelies.
Mi Young turns her attention back to the evil queen who was looking at her with intense hatred.
"Is that all you got?" Mi Young provokes.
The queen smirks at her before she throws another gust of strong wind towards Mi Young.
"I f*cking hate Anemo users." Mi Young whispers to herself as she tries to stop the wind from coming to her. She realized she didn't have enough power to stop it so she tried to run away. "I really f*cking hate Anemo users."
Mi Young tries to fire one fireball after another towards the queen's direction but the miniature tornadoes she made are blocking all of the black haired girl's attack. Aside from that, the queen's tornado starts catching up Mi Young's fire. Now, her tornadoes are on fire and they look much more dangerous than before, if you get caught up in that you will surely suffer from burns.
"What the hell…" Mi Young whispers as she looks at the blazing tornadoes.
She hears the queen laugh evilly before she answers Mi Young's question. "You see that? That's one of my powers as well! I can use my opponent's ability to my advantage. That's how powerful my Anemo element is."
Mi Young grits her teeth as she looks at the smiling face of the evil queen. "You b*tch."
"That's a new one!" The queen says with a laugh. "Now, let's go back to business. I will surely kill you and drain all of your blood from your body."
The queen immediately vanishes right after saying that.
Mi Young tried to look for a way to hide from the queen but she was too late as the enemy suddenly appeared in front of her once more. This time, the queen uses her sharp nails in order to claw at Mi Young.
The black haired girl dodges to her right the moment the evil queen lashes out her claws.
She once again dodged to the other direction when the queen repeats her attack.
"You have good reflexes." The queen says in between her attacks. "But can you dodge this?"
Suddenly, the queen changed her way of attacks as she plunged her sharp nails straight into Mi Young.
Her claws digging deeper into Mi Young's sides, the black haired girl couldn't stop the blood chilling scream that came out from her mouth as she feels the pain from the queen's sharp claws.
Se Heon, who was busy fighting off two Seelies using his Geo element, hears the girl's scream. "Mi Young!"
He was about to run towards the girl but Mi Young threw him a look. Se Heon wanted to protest but he nodded as he continued fighting off the other Seelies.
Mi Young turns her gaze back at the queen as she stands up.
The queen claps her hands at her courage. "You are a worthy opponent. Too bad you're gonna die soon."
She didn't wait any time for Mi Young to recover before she raised her hands.
There was a strong gust of air everywhere. When the queen made a choking gesture using her hands, the wind followed her movement and Mi Young could feel the air choking her as well.
Slowly, the queen raised her hands in the air and Mi Young could feel her body being lifted up as well. She was running out of air and she could feel the darkness slowly starting to consume her.
She even hears the small laughter the queen let out before her eyes finally closed.
All Mi Young can see is brightness. Everything around her is too bright.
However she hears someone whispering behind her but she can't move her body.
"Set the whole world on fire, my Fireheart."
When Mi Young opened her eyes, she can still feel the strong hold of the queen's Anemo element on her throat. Although she was gasping for air, she felt somewhat relieved that she is not dead yet.
"Oh you're still alive." The queen says before she intensified the wind gripping Mi Young's throat.
Mi Young can hear the helpless shouts of her companions as they call her name.
But all Mi Young can remember was the familiar voice that spoke to her earlier.
"Set the whole world on fire, my Fireheart."
And so she did.
Mi Young opened her eyes as she glared at the queen for the last time before her Pyro mana burst out from her body and converted into Pyro element as she sets the whole Seelie kingdom on fire.
