4 The way he called me by my name

After a couple of days, Sierra and I decided to meet. We decided to meet alone this time. She invited me to her place. 

Her parents were downstairs. She showed a bottle of alcohol which she stole from her father's collection. Her parents don't like whenever she drinks because of her health issues.

We locked the door and started drinking and talked for hours. As soon as we finished two pegs somebody knocked on the door, "Open up." 

It was Abraham's voice. She was startled and told me to hide the glasses and bottles. We hid the bottles and the glasses in one of her cupboards. 

She opened the door with a big smile on her face. She has a habit of smiling and laughing when she drinks. Isn't it a weird habit?

Abraham had to take something from her room. He saw me and greeted me, "Hello Naomi." 

His voice was manly. For the first time, I noticed him as a man. Usually, people don't call me by my name. Either they call me Nao or Nam."

I liked the fact that Abraham called me by my name and that too in a manly manner. I said, "Hello." 

Besides hello I didn't say anything else because I was afraid of being caught up. Soon he left the room.

After he left the room I asked Sierra, "Why did you hide the bottles from Abraham?"

She answered, "He's stupid. He will tell my parents because he's concerned about my health a lot."

"What about your health?" I was concerned. 

She said, "Nothing. It's just their way not to let me drink." 

I understood what she meant because even my family won't like it if I drink. So I understood her completely.

She got excited, "Naomi, let's do bottom-up." 

Before I agreed I told her that every time I do bottom ups I just become tipsy. 

She motivates me that it's all fine and I should go for it. She told me that she would take care of me. 

We decided to do bottom ups. We filled our glasses. We cheered. And when it comes to drinking I drank the entire glass in a single go.

I thought she would do the same but she left the glass half empty. She tricked me and started laughing at me.

Now, I was drunk and on the other hand, she was enjoying her drink while making fun of me. I didn't know that she had captured me on a cell phone. 

It was almost evening. We went downstairs. Before leaving she told me to greet her parents. We were sitting in the guest room waiting for her mother.

I thought Abraham already left but he was still there helping her mother with some work. I was completely drunk and kept on repeating myself. 

Her mother asked Abraham to drop me. As soon as I stood my knee got injured as I hit myself on the centre wooden table. Her mother was shocked.

She asked, "Are you alright? Are you hurt?" I replied, "No, no Mrs Williams, I am perfectly alright." 

Sierra held me and whispered, "Babez you are being suspicious." 

I nodded. She told me not to move at all. Her mother went into the kitchen. Sierra went to grab her clutch. While Abraham and I were waiting for Sierra to join us.

Abraham said, "Naomi let's go in the car. Sierra will come." 

"Yes, let's go," I responded. As soon as I stepped forward I banged my head in the front door. 

Abraham's eyes were big, "Are you alright? Please be careful." 

I was embarrassed, "Yeah, yeah, I am fine. Let's just leave already."

Soon Sierra came and they dropped me at my place. While on my way, I offered them to have soft drinks.

We stopped in the nearby store. Abraham ordered cold coffee for the three of us. We three stood outside the store. 

A lady was brooming outside the store. Luckily I had a packet of masks. I always carry masks with me because I am a bit allergic to dust particles.

I told both of them to wear a mask. Abraham refused and I forced him to wear a mask. Eventually, he wore a mask.

I have never talked properly to him before. We grabbed our cold coffees and sat inside the car. While we were having our coffee Abraham and I started talking.

We talked about our office, our mutual friends and stuff. For the first, a guy understood exactly what I meant to deliver. Usually, people don't understand me because I don't explain myself.

But Abraham understood each and everything. He was very gentle, kind and understanding. For the first time, I focused on his looks.

He was handsome, he had good features, his hair was amazing, his voice was manly and on top of everything such an amazing nature he had. 

Soon, they dropped me at my place. I was drunk and I didn't want my family to find out. As soon as I reached it, I went straight to my bedroom and slept. 

The next morning when I woke up, the first thing that came into my mind was Abraham. The way he called my name. I think it was that day when I started liking him.

Though I wasn't sure about it, I kept on thinking about him. Although I have met Abraham many times before.

Mostly after our work, he drops and picks Sierra. And sometimes he used to drop Diana and me. But I have never noticed him before. 

Whenever he used to drop we did talk about stuff. Either Sierra tells about how her day was or I discussed. Diana never really discussed anything.

Most of the time she used to show that she's the only wisest one among us. Diana had a very typical nature. 

She always likes when someone compliments her. During those days when I didn't use to talk to Abraham, Abraham and Diana got connected on SNS.

Diana used to tell me, "Naomi, Abraham is into me. He likes me and stuff." 

"That's good," I always responded like that. 

One day I told her, "Diana, make sure you are being genuine. Abraham looks like a good person to me. Make sure you don't break his heart."

She always used to ignore me whenever I tried to give her any kind of advice. During those times I knew that Diana was already dating someone else so I told her not to mess with him.

Diana is the kind of person who thinks highly of her. She thinks as if she's a queen or something like that. 

Even in the office if she sees any smart or good looking guy she always likes "Naomi, he's definitely into me. I can tell."  

And if she sees an average looking guy, "Naomi I think he is into you." She had a typical personality.

Sometimes I failed to understand her. One day an interesting event took place. 

We used to give everyone in the office a unique name so that they wouldn't know that we were talking about them. 

There was this one guy who had a good beard and sharp features. He used to smile whenever he saw everyone. 

We used to call him 'Smiley'. I have been working longer in the office compared to Diana and Sierra. So I knew how Smiley was with everyone.

One day Diana and I were standing and Smiley saw us and gave a smile. This time his smile was different. It was a big smile. 

Then Diana said, "See, I told you he's into me."

That day I agreed with Diana.  Daily whenever he sees Diana he used to give her a big smile.

The other day I was in the office cafeteria with Sierra and Smiley was there. He saw Sierra and gave her the same big smile which he used to give to Diana.

The next day, Sierra, Diana and I were sitting then I told Diana that he gave the same big smile to Sierra. 

Diana didn't believe me. I didn't know why she was not believing me. So for proof, I took them to the office cafeteria when Smiley was sitting there.

He saw three of us, he gave a normal smile and gave a big smile to both Sierra and Diana. That day Diana believed me. We three laughed because Smiley got caught by us.

It was always fun when we three used to encounter him. Soon, along with Sierra and I, Diana also started hanging out with us.

Mostly, after office hours either we used to visit some cafes or to our places. Most of the time we visited Sierra's place because it was near our office.  

Diana used to date a guy named 'Shank. He was rich and always used to show off the wealth he had. He always wanted to know about the whereabouts of Diana.

He never gave her any kind of privacy. Some of the times I used to hate him for his sucking behaviour and a bad personality. 

Diana was happy with him so I never interfered in their matter.
