7 In him I see me

Last time when Sierra visited my place she invited me to her place for lunch. She also said Abraham would be there. 

As soon as I heard that I became very happy. Sierra didn't know the reason behind my happiness. 

I decided to confess my feelings honestly in front of Sierra before speaking to any other person.

Before Sierra left I asked, "Sierra, I need approval from you."

"What kind of approval Naomi?" She asked.

"I don't know how you would react but still I can't hide this thing from you. I have to tell you this," I got nervous.

"You know you can share anything with me. Go on," she was comforting.

"I like Abraham. So I was wondering if that's alright with you, can I like him?" I asked her with full sincerity.

"Wow! I don't know what to say. Well! I don't mind at all. I have known Abraham for too long so you can go ahead, he's a nice guy. Naomi this is new and refreshing for me. None of my friends asked this before." She took a breath.

"He's all yours. But promise me one thing," she insisted.

"Sure, anything," I replied.

"Make sure things won't go wrong between us because of Abraham," she directly shared things with me.

"Yes, I promise but what do you mean exactly?" I enquired.

She answered, "Abraham doesn't like all these things. He's too much into his World and focuses on his goals. Dating and all is not his thing. Earlier many girls tried to impress him but he's a total idiot. He didn't give a chance to any one of them."

"Alright, I understand completely. I just didn't want to spoil our friendship and that's why I asked you directly if that's alright with you or not." I gave her the guarantee.

"That's nice of you thinking about me. No one has ever made me feel this important. I appreciate this. But I am really happy that you like that idiot. I just wish it turns out well between you two. And if that happens then I would be the happiest," Sierra was being supportive.

I was happy with the fact that things were clear between Sierra and me. Soon, Abraham came to pick her up.

She grabbed me to say hello to Abraham. I was shy but she pulled me real hard. The moment I saw him a big smile appeared on my face. 

I was too happy to see him. I said hello to him being all shy. And there comes the reply saying hello in a manly voice. 

Seeing him only for a few minutes made my heart flustered all over again. To me, he was a ray of light after darkness. 

I see new in him. His gentle smile melted my heart. In him, I found happiness, in him I see me. 

Abraham asked, "Hello Naomi. How are you?"

"I am good, what about you?" I smiled and replied to him. 

"I am good too," he smiled. Soon both of them took off. 

I went inside my room and started dancing all over the place. I was so happy that I turned on the music on my portable speakers and started dancing.

Seeing him only for a brief period made me very happy. After a couple of hours, Sierra called me.

She said, "Naomi,  I thought a lot and I seriously don't have any issue with you liking Abraham. I would be happy. I will try my best to make guys come close to each other."

"No, no you don't have to do that. Please, I don't want to be a burden on you," I insisted. 

"What burden? It's important to set a background before you confess your feelings to him. Gradually, I will pursue him for you," Sierra said.

"Seriously? Wow! That means a lot. I am really glad. Thanks a lot, babes," I thanked her with my full heart. 

"Shut up, no need to thank me. I would be happy to see you two together. No, no I would be the happiest," she replied.

We talked for a couple of minutes and later hung up the phone call. I have always been looking for a good friend and I finally found one. 

Sierra was selfless, unlike my other friends. She was the first person who thought about me. My other friends always thought about themselves and never helped me in real life.

After meeting with Sierra, my heart was at ease. I was finally at peace and I was more than happy. 

That night before sleeping I was only thinking about two people. One was Sierra and the other was Abraham. 

I was super excited to go to the office the next day. I was always excited about my work but when Sierra joined I started enjoying my work even more. 

I have never waited long enough just to see someone or just to meet someone. After meeting Abraham I started counting days. 

I kept on looking at my calendar to find an excuse to meet him. Although Sierra knew about my feelings I didn't want to be a burden on her so I tried to avoid speaking about Abraham in front of her.

I didn't want her to feel a burden about anything. I didn't want to sound cheap. I wanted to act cool because I was always cool about other stuff. Being cheesy and stuffy was not my thing at all. 

Office as usual. Diana, Sierra, and I used to enjoy working there. Both Diana and Sierra had only a couple of months left so we wanted to utilize our time as much as possible. 

Sometimes after office, we used to hang out 

In the cafe and other times, we used to hang out at Sierra's place. 

Most of the time Abraham used to drop us. Whenever I used to sit in the backside of the car I used to peek at him through the rare view mirror. It was all a happy moment for me.
