8 Chapter 8 - Another Attraction
Reina POV
He open the door and I see a bouquet of different wintery flowers, some crocus surrounds by some primrose, alongside with camellia, wrapped in a green and blue paper like and white ribbon. Along with a basket of fruits. Wow, isn't he such a gentleman?, he does this every day for 2 days and I cant help the feeling to be flustered. He goes to the desk beside me and put the things he's caring and sat down to the chair near it.
"These are for you, my love" my heart pounds whenever he called me sweet names like that, gesturing his hands to those things in the table.
"How are you feeling?" he added.
I look at him and smile, "I'm feeling better now, thank you for the another flowers and fruits by the way, you know, you dont have to do it everyday" I said to him, embarrassed a little.
"Oh, dont be shy, I want to take care of you and bring you your needs during my break, beside, having things like this can ease the mind of a patient"
"True enough though, being here in this room for a about a week now made me want to see the whole forest for some fresh air and warm my eyes with the view, how are you from work?"
" Will do that after you healed properly, and if the weather is good enough for us to stroll in the woods" he said smiling, damn those white teeth and rosy lips, made me want to savor it.
"Some old paperwork, same issues and wishes that needed my approval" he added, while I am still starstruck by his moving lips.
"It really is hard to be a King after all, doing a lot of stuffs like that" I said, making my a way to snap myself out of imagining bad things with him.
"Your quite right. Thanks to the Mood Goddess, I will not do it by myself anymore" he smile looking at me with such twinkling eyes.
"Ah, about that.. "
"Please, dont you ever think of rejecting me just to avoid a load of work" he humorously said to me, and I laugh a bit to that.
"No, 'am not. I still cant believe, your Highness, I'm still processing all this" saying this while waving my hands to the air.
" Please call me Derek, and dont worry, I am here now, let us help one another, okay " I nodded to that, after I get myself a one pear fruit from the basket. I really like eating fruits, and its a good thing that he likes it too. Fruits are healthy and makes my stamina last longer during in training. I mostly eat apples, bananas, plums and cherries. But for now, whatever he brought me, I'll ate it, today he brought some pears and kiwis.
"About the book by the way, my men reported that they still haven't found it yet, but no worries to that, they will keep on searching until we find it."
"I'm sorry for this trouble I cause you, Derek, the snow is harsh today and I feel sorry for your men"
"Dont be, I told them to take a rest if the snow keeps on falling, and makes a thick layer in the ground, they'll just going to shove it off" he grinned and oh my, that make me blush.
I am about to stand up from the bed I am sitting on, to get some water from the water dispenser in 5he corner, this room is quite a little big for one patient. It has all the necessary things, a bathroom, a little kitchen sink and lavatory, and a small dining area with a dining table good for 4 atleast, with a tv set across the room.
"Um, I want some water..." I gestured my finger pointing to it, when he noticed me having a difficulty standing up due to my injury. It still sting and make me move hard.
"Oh, I'll get it"
"No, please, I'm fine, I can get it myself, just rest yourself for a while since you've been working hard-" but before I finish my sentence, he stands already and walk towards it and grab a drinking glass beside it. I look at his back while he is waiting for the glass to be filled. Gosh, that broad shoulder back he has, I want to touch it, or maybe hug him behind, wait can Ido that? snap out of it Rey, stop imagining things that will never going to happen even though you like hugging someone from behind, I said to myself. I look back to his face to alter my attention but he is grinning at me already, why?
He walk back towards me holding a glass of water and give it to me, when I get a hold of the drinking glass, I slightly feel the touch of his hands and by that, the look on his eyes darkened. Oh my, am I in trouble?

Derek POV
I woke up this morning, early than usual, it is only 4:30 AM, getting myself ready and doing the same routine, cleaning my face and body in the bathroom, the only thing differs this day from my last other days is the feeling of excitement to see my mate. I can't believe that after many years, I finally found my mate, even though it was a crucial situation, seeing your mate bathe in blood will give you a heart attack in no time. I am 28 this year, and have been waiting for this, ever since I made my first shift when I am 17. I thought that she will never come or maybe the Moon Goddess does not have one for me, so I focused myself to run this boring Kingdom.
My parents are on their vacation enjoying the time of their lives being together, growing old together. Ah, how I wish to be like them, with my mate of course. Ever since they passed the title on me, they enjoy their own lives.
"Will come back once you found your mate, okay honey" those are the last lame words I heard from them.
"Give us news anytime, son" my father added.
Thinking about them, I might give them a call soon, and sure they will be thrilled about the news.
I exited my bedroom with a plain white t-shirt and jeans, coated with a long winter jacket that has a solid navy blue color, styled with an elegant pike wool, adding some well blended knitted cashmere silk scarf to warm my throat and wearing some shoes. I did not have time for my hair to dry and just let it dry on my way to my office, which gives my head a chilling sensations.
The weather is harsher than before and we needed to keep our warm inside. I wonder if she's okay, I thought to myself. The coldness of the air wanted me to hug something or someone, I grinned at the thought of cuddling my mate in this cold weather. I wanted to finish my work early today so that I could give her a visit in the pack hospital.
