18 Chapter 18 - The Unknown

"You've, what?!!!!" I screamed loudly, that the walls of the room we are in, are now shaking.

"W-we're s-sorry Alpha, we have no choice but to leave him behind" one of the stupid rogue said, with trembling knees, bowing his head in front of me, together with the others.

"The King is very tactical, they spread out quickly to the other side of their borders" another stupid one added,

"Yeah, and when we saw we are going to be outnumbered, we hesitate to attack the girl and just leave the mutt to fight with her" the stupid rogue before, dare to open his mouth again.

"It seemed like the King is overprotecting her and when he intervened with us, we thought that we are not going to win, so... so... w-we... ran..." he added.

"STOP CALLING HIM KING !, How many times do I have to tell you ! I AM THE KING and no one else" due to my anger, I unconsciously clawed their faces and let their headless body lay on the floor.

Damn it ! I still have a lot to ask them, I said to myself, looking at the lifeless body in front of me.

"Clean this now and bring me Cecilia !" I order one of my guards who is standing steadily at the side of the door, moving with a lot of care, well atleast one knows how to not anger me. Tsk.

"You called for me?" Cecilia, one of the powerful witch in the whole kingdom, despite being one, her beauty captivates me as always. If it wasn't for this curse, I should've been able to have her. Yet, the Moon Goddess is so angry at me bestowing a curse on me, well, not me actually, but to my parents. The previous royals.

"Yes, I wanted you to end that mutt's life now, before they sense your spell"

"oh, so your stupid men left him behind?" her soft angry voice echoed in my ears,

"they said that they dont have a choice-"

"and so their bodies are now been thrown and burned, oh that's harsh" sarcastically she rolled her eyes, walking towards the sofa in the middle of my office, and sat there like a she owned this place.

"... they deserved it. For not executing the plan properly" I hang my head down and sighed.

"you know, you need to control that temper of yours, or else, there will be no one left for you here, except for those lifeless bodies. And, you should know that you need more men right? , how will you ever build an army if you keep on killing your own team?"

team, yeah right, the last time I check, even my own team abandoned me, my own so called friends... it saddened me whenever I remember the past. I remember that before all of these happened, I have 3 trusted friend, but all that were changed in just a moment.

"Done !"

"What?!" I am in trance a while ago, not knowing that she already performed her magic chant to cut off the spell on that so called mighty Alpha Ramos. Yes, I knew him, in fact, he's one of my team before.

It has been 50 years, yes, those years had past since that day, that vengeful day happened in my life. Alpha Ramos is one of my so called friend, that I trusted so much, yet abandoned me when I needed him most. And, now I will erase each and every one's existent in the world, those who turned their back on me that day.

I remember also the day, I decided to attack his pack, the Blue Moon Pack. I was hurt, knowing to fight one of my trusted friend, so I ask Cecilia to chant a spell to me that I will not feel any pain nor sympathy, to make me numb that day.

"You dont need to do this, Zander. !" Alpha Ramos pleaded when I encircled him near the gates of his pack village.

Every one in his pack is now screaming and crying.

Afraid and scared to those rogues that were killing everyone in the area.

"Do you feel that? ! ha ha , their screaming for help, like I was back then, remember? and now, soon this small mighty pack of yours will turn into ashes. !" Angrily, I spat those words into his face,

We fought to the extent of our strength and soon enough I pierced my canines near his neck, and clawing his foot, leaving him bleeding. My claws and canines were casted with poisonous spell, that whoever or whatever it touches will not heal immediately, or rather, will give them a slow painful death, I inherit those power from my mother. She was a witch, a powerful one, but unlike her, I am a half witch blood and a man-wolf blood, so my power is half as well, and weak.

I was about to deepened my canines in his neck, for me to snap off his head, when suddenly, a young beautiful she-wolf interfered between us,

"Papa !" She yelled at Ramos,

oh, so this is your daughter. Interesting. I mind linked Ramos, before her body collided into mine, letting go of my canines from his neck, tsk !

"Oh, dont get distracted when your enemy is in front of you, little pup" with a coarse voice, I told her when I notice she's been looking for her father with concerned. I am now drooling with poisonous fluids, ready to inject them to her.

"Who are you or what are you exactly?" she curiously ask,

"Ah, pity... you fight someone without knowing them first, what an impulsive move you made there mutt !"

I respond, encircling her ready to attack. So, she has no idea, about me and her father, as well as herself?

She firmed her pose ready for defense on my attack,

"wow, I like this daughter of yours, Ramos..." I mind linked him again, who's now limping in one of the big tree outside their gates. "she is exactly like me" I smirked at him, he knew what I mean.

" she is not like you ! and will never be like you !" Ramos shouted in my head, I gritted my teeth at that and continue to fight with this young pup.

I am about to attack her when I notice her eyes are glowing, and her aura that's emitting from her body is so intimidating,

"So, she has been blessed with power while I have been cursed? Why is the Moon Goddess so unfair?" I gasped at the moment and jump off to her when Ramos intervenes with us, they talked about something to go into the route that leads to capital, and something about a book. The book?

Ramos covered for his daughter to escape from me and ran to the woods, with something on her mouth.

"Wow, Ramos, sacrificing yourself for your daughter, I envy you. How I wish I could have that kind of bond, that you two have...let us see how long that bond of yours last !"

Without any moment longer, the poison have its effect on him, he grew weak, and soon after the light on his eyes banished.

I quickly ran towards the woods, and followed the girl, together with the other rogues, "Capture her, and dont let her get pass to the capital's border ! "

I was quite impressed about this young pup, she is now covered in wounds, yet still, she was able to fight and kills my men. Nearing the border, weakens me, its aura is like a barrier to me. I cant get through to it, so I gave order to the remaining rogues to follow her through and hoping to kill her, while I halt my speed and decided to return to the village, I was running again towards the woods and leave the girl to the rogues.

I have returned to the village and saw again Alpha Ramos' lifeless body on the ground. I feel pity on him, is the spell had worn off? I said to myself.

"Get this body and bring it back to pack house, I have something in mind for it" I commanded to the one rogues who is now finished burning the pack houses of the village.

We are about to leave the area, when suddenly, we heard a loudest howl, a howl that can put our knees to the ground and can echoed in our head, leaving an irritating feeling through our ears.

Then, one of the rogues, that came from where the girl was, running towards us, limping, followed by another two.

"Sir, I saw the girl collapse right inside the border, after letting out a loud howl" he explained,

So it was her?

"I thought to get through as well, but there are patrols already running towards our direction, when we are about to turn back, I saw this book at one of the foot of a large tree" he added, making a step forward even to me and handed a book that is covered in red velvet fabric.

I hurriedly go for it and my eyes grow wide seeing the words written in the cover. The Book of the Hybrids, in the middle of the cover.
