13 Chapter 13 - The Date Part 1

I woke up early, doing the same morning routine as I got up from my bed. Today is saturday, I'm off work the whole day and need to prepare for the date with my mate. I'm quite nervous yet excited, I never had a girlfriend nor dated anyone on my personal interest, but sometimes when my beta is on a date, I get that third wheel position. Due to that, I observed a lot of things he'd done on a date. To think of it, its quite funny, because I'm an Alpha King yet my beta seemed to be the center of attraction, I just keep a low profile whenever he goes out with some girls, though some of them end up flirting on me but I dont give them the things they wanted so they return to flirting him.

it is now 6 in the morning and I have prepared some breakfast and lunch that we will have at our date, most of the helpers suggested that they will do this for us, but I insisted that I want to do this on my own, only for the first part. I wanted to have a picnic date on this winter season. Since, winter morning are quite chilly, I wanted for us to have a warm heavy breakfast.

Since most of our food resources came from our own garden and poultry, I cooked some foods mostly with vegetables and fruits ingredients, that is why, I prepared some pears with brown sugar, bourbon and millet. Added some peruvian quinoa porridge with amaranth and some whole wheat cinnamon rolls with salted caramel glaze. The omegas prepared some mulled pear and cranberry punch. I told them to bring us the food by 9 as we start our date, while the other foods at lunch time. I dont know what food and drinks she likes, so I told them to bring anything that suits this season. I thanked them and walk my way to the botanical garden.

The garden is just a facade for the date, the main area where we will be using for this time, is the back of it, facing a frozen lake, with a small wooden cottage that has some wooden tables and chairs. I brought some blanket and set it on the table. I arrange some aconite and primrose on an empty wine bottle and set it in the center.

"Wow, aren't you a romantic one, Alpha" Joshua enthusiastically said with a smile on his face upto his ears, while I'm cleaning the patio of the cottage where the tables and chairs at. I told him earlier to help me clean the cottage since it was full of snow from the last storm.

"Its almost time, enough talking and just clean up that mess"

"I'm done now, let me know if you needed some help or some...romantic advice" he said playfully after he finished the cleaning, now all are set.

He walk towards me and got too close at my side, I narrowed my eyebrows at him curiously, as he pulls out something from his pocket. "Um, I think you'll need this bro... you know... for later on" he smirked at me and I just push him aside.

"No need for that, I dont plan on hitting on her just yet you know"

"What? ! Seriously ! you cant just waste all of these effort for nothing" he waved his hands towards the setting I arranged in front of us.

"You know what, just get out of here okay !, before you ruin my mood" I push him towards the exit of the cottage while he still insisted to give me the thing he's holding in his hand.

"You're gonna regret this bro, for not taking these" he's swinging the thing in the air as he smiled widely.

"I'm not gonna regret anything, I just want this day to be perfect for both us, I wanted her to be happy and feel my love towards her. She still struggling you know that, I may wanted to claim her right away, but I guess she needs time for that..."

"Yeah Yeah, say what want, do what you want.. but you cant suppress the mate pull much longer you know." he cuts me before I finish my sentence. "...and that mate pull, will make you insane and wanted her more...especially when you're alone with her.. so you...will...gonna... need... this" I just wave my hand to him indicating that he really need to go away before I snap his head off for insisting me to take that thing. Not all men are like that you know, I thought to myself. The reason I put up this effort is because it's our very first date, and I wanted her to feel that this is her home now, to make her happy, not to score with her or something. Yes, he is right about the mate pull that will drive me insane whenever I'm with her alone, that pushes me to claim her, or even mate with her, but I want to take this slow.

I took a last look at the setting, and run towards the garden. It is time now to bring her here. I saw her standing in front of the roofed garden, and she looked amazing, yet tense.

"Hi" I smiled at her as I wave my hand, and walk closer to her.

"Hey..." she respond.

"You look beautiful"

"Thanks, Grace actually picked this outfit for me" she said. "Though now that I am here in the garden, I would say that this is not fit for gardening" she added, jokingly, assuming that we will do some planting and stuff.

"You really look good on a dress Reina, it suits you. I often see you dress like that" I ask of her, wondering in my mind to undress her but I shake off that thought.

"I am not really a fan of womanly dresses you know, I just put on some Tshirts and Pants back in our village. It is more comfortable in fighting and running" She respond.

I really like that side of her, reliable and strong, not dependent to other's opinion. But seeing her in such a clothing turns me on.

"Who said that we'll have gardening today?" I just smiled at her, letting aside her joke "I asked you for a date not a time for planting and stuff you know, we have a lot of gardeners here to do that for us" I added as I open the door of the roofed garden, "Shall we..." I gestures my hand for her to enter the garden.

"Wow, you do have a lot of food resources here..." she said in awe, while looking at the seedlings and plants with different varieties.

I guided her to the end of the aisle, nearing the back door of the garden that leads towards the wooden cottage. "You dont think this is where we will take our date, dont you?" I said to her while pushing the door open and I heard her gasped and let out a small squeak as she look upon the beautiful winter scenery in front of her.

"Wow, I dont know you have a place like this here."

"It is actually one of my favorite spot"

She keeps on looking on the surroundings while I just smile looking at her. Her beautiful face blended in this snowy area. As the surrounding shines so is she.

"Now, if you please... let us have our breakfast"

I guided her towards the patio and offer one seat. As she sat, I hop to the other side.

"Thank you, Derek"

"No problem, would you like something to drink first?"

I poured out some of one of the beverages that the omegas prepared for us to her drinking glass. After a moment, we take our bite and talk about our lives.

A moment longer, I cant keep off my eyes of her lips. Every bite she takes, I trailed my gaze to her moving lips, the way she licks some of the food of her mouth and the way she open it to take a sip of the drink.

"I should have listened to Joshua a while ago" I said to myself. "You're so slow kid, why not make a move on her already..." I heard Blade, my wolf, grunting in my head and wanting to come out of the surface. He wanted to take over and claim our mate that is enjoying her food in front of us. "Shut up, its not that easy you know" I push Blade to the corner of my head leaving him whining, what is he, a puppy?

"So, you're 28, yet still unmated until you found me at the border?" she ask, snapping me out of my thoughts "Why cant you just have a chosen mate then, you know how important a Luna Queen is to a pack right? why waited for too long" she added.

"If I haven't waited, I could not have you and met you, I might regret afterwards knowing that I miss an opportunity to meet a such

beautiful and strong woman, due to rushing things about having a mate" her cheeks turns to pink as she start to drink the punch in one gulp, leaving her lips wet a little. Damn, those lips. I wanted to taste it again, how I wish that my own slaver wet hers.

After eating, we set aside the dishes and sat silently, she looked tense and her cheeks keeps on turning pink. I can tell that she's having the same thoughts as I am, and that make me flustered as well. As the time goes by, we found our strength to talk more about our lives, getting know each other more, like how she was when she was young and how she like to practice with her dad, but the mate pull is getting stronger as we feel the breeze becomes colder, wanting each other's touch. I can hardly control myself and my wolf.

We walked around the woods, seeing some trees and plants that are still frozen from the last storm,

"Do you want to steam up a little" She ask.

"What?" I was surprise by the way she ask me that,

"You mean, you want to run through the woods?" I added.

" yeah, in our wolf forms, so they could see each other as well"

"Sure, that'll be great."

She turn to a large tree and I heard her shift, I was in awe seeing how big her wolf is, despite of her tiny figure in her human form. Her fur is as Black as the night and her eyes are as blue as the sky, just wow, simple yet magnificent. I did not need to hide in a tree for me to shift and so I shifted in front of her.

"Hi Tas" Blade immediately grin at her.

"Hello Blade, it is nice to finally see you physically" Tas was a calm and composed wolf, she often say a word.

"Well, my human wont let me to, do you know how hard it is to suppressed my longing to mate you"

really, blade? wow, I said

Tas just chuckle to what blade just said and gestured her head to start for a run.

"Wow, you're fast Tas, I cant believe the Moon Goddess bless me with such magnificent mate"

We ran until reaching the mountain clift, not knowing what time it is when we notice that the sun is about to set. As we sat at the edge, Blade suddenly lick the side of the face of Tas, she did the same as well and we just sat there staring up at the sky as the sun setting itself.
