5 Enough Love Making

'My favourite chapter of our book was when I looked into your eyes for the first time '

Beyond words, to ever think that one has a choice in the outcomes of their lives. Jake had seen a lot in the few years he took over his father's gang, nothing was a secret, people knew the name "The Falcons" had, they spoke volumes, they dealt with fighters, weapons, but beyond morals and respect they never dealt with drugs or women.

In fact, they protected those that couldn't, and that's the reason he ended up here, staring at Firestorm, he needed a fighter. Their eyes connected, but he looked away, gradually exiting the arena, without a second glance. "We need to talk to FireStorm Jay or someone else will!", Alex suggested, his words had logic, in this place, gang leaders wasted no time at all getting good fighters to join them.

"We should talk to his manager", Jake pointed out. "Derek is his name; he should be collecting Firestorm's winning bet money at the counter".

"Let's go", Jake began walking with Alex by his side.

They made it to the counter, but his eyes couldn't catch Derek, after much crowd scanning, Jake noticed he was walking out the back door. he signalled for Alex to follow him, and he obliged. They made their way out back, high on Derek's tail.

They eventually caught up to him and Alex suggested they shout for him, but as he opened his mouth, about to shout, Derek stopped and turned around, as if sensing they were following him, he smirked as he looked between Alex and him, as he looked around, Jake had noticed they were out the building, and completely alone, his eyes flicked between Alex and himself as if he knew what they wanted. He looked smug as he lit a cigarette and placed it between his lips, inhaling the toxins and exhaling, he was silent for a few minutes as his cigarette started growing little by little as each second passed, he leaned against the wall, with his left leg touching the cool wall, hastily he took the final and last pull before dropping the still burning butt on the floor before he spoke.

"Jake, I presume", he looked confident, and a smile etched his face, before he looked at Alex," And your trusted sidekick, Mister hotshot over there Alex, got to say, I thought you'd be more, I don't know, intimidating", he drawled out, his demeanour changed when his eyes held Alex's, it was pure hate and disgust, Jake couldn't understand why though because there's no way Derek could possibly know Alex, as much as Jake laid low inside Bridge High, Alex did in "The Falcons", he preferred to be the clean-up guy or backup, he didn't have it in him to kill someone unless his life depended on it, maybe not even then.

"Enough love making Derek, the love in the air is making me sick, let's talk business", Jake put his hands into his jean pockets and lifted his left leg so it rested against the wall, turning his head towards Derek, who was in the same position.

Alex stood firm eyeing out the place in case they needed to find a quick exit, even if there was no danger, it's what they were trained for to 'Expect the unexpected'.

"Oh I know what you want, that's why I've brought you out here Mr Jake, you want FireStorm don't you? "he let out a breath and looked at Jake, he knew the answer but a man's ego likes to be stroked and agreeing with him made it bigger.

"I'd like to meet Firestorm, he's the reason your ego is so high, you're proud of him aren't you, tell you what, I'll raise it higher than you were offered for him, join our gang, be a Falcon", he looked at Jake as if he were expecting him to say that. He chuckled to himself and put his head down, shaking it slowly. "What makes you think I'd want to be a Falcon Mr Storm? Is that the best you can do?", he laughed pitifully, irritating Alex who looked as if he were ready to punch Derek out cold, Derek simply rolled his eyes at this.

"I'm not here to negotiate with the 'help', I'm here for FireStorm", his attitude changed, and he stopped his laughter and smug look, he tried to hide it by smiling lightly.

He looked at Jake and began walking away. He turned his back and nodded his head. Alex and Jake took that as a sign to follow him.

Derek pushed pass people as did they, before finally stopping behind a silver door. He turned to face them, as if saying that he may regret it, before speaking. "Keep an open mind okay", his hand made its way to the door handle, before turning it slightly.

A click echoed signalling the door had opened. He pushed it slightly and walked in. Alex walked in next and Jake last. "Close the door", a voice echoed, and not making much of it, Jake gently shut the door.

Before turning back to face an empty room, as if on instinct they held the gun that was attached to the side of both their hips, ready to pull out if there was a use for it, Jake walked slowly with Alex, both of them on guard.

The room looked much bigger than they anticipated, three exits for a damn room, probably one leading to the rooftop and one probably out back, and obviously the one door they walked in from.

Jake scanned for possible weapons to use in case he ran out of ammunition, but everything was so outdated it probably won't even kill a fly, the velvet curtains hung on the railing by the window, possible a choke and kill scenario, cutlery is a definite as he saw a set of knives, forks and spoons next to an array of food set out on a table.

His thoughts were interrupted when they see Derek standing by a door frame signalling them to come in.

It was an office, as they walked in Derek had just sprawled on a chair with his feet up on the desk. He looked smug and Jake realised they weren't alone.

Alex and Jake walked in here not knowing what to expect, every scenario that played in his head turned out real.

Because now in front of him were those eyes, green yet had somewhat a highlight of blue, a sweet smile and a racing heart and that's when he knew, the reason behind the hatred and resentment Derek has towards Alex.

He held a breath as everything clicked and he looked into those big eyes.
