Changing lanes, learning new lessons.

It was time for Reyansh to change his school, his parents decided cause they thought this "good school" of their hometown is no longer good enough for their kid. They decided it a long time ago, probably when he was about to enter in class 7th. During Reyansh's class 7th, there was this woman in his school who used to be her class teacher. Tall, blonde, some pimples on her face but her smile would cover them all. She used to teach him social science. It was for the first time, Reyansh liked someone. Just like every other guy in high school, having a crush on his teacher. He would listen to every word that she would say and would do anything she would ask him to do. That was his way of showing that he liked her, by being obedient and punctual. Other teachers would ask him to look after the class if they went out for 5 minutes, making him the class monitor but he wouldn't take that seriously. But when it was the time for her favorite to go out and choosing him as the class monitor, he would perform his duty, all by his heart and would keep everyone quiet and would maintain discipline and decorum of classroom.

He loved every small appreciation from her and would do anything to get more. As the time came soon for him to leave the school, he told it to her to which she replied that even she was leaving school cause she was getting married soon. That was a heartbreaker for him. A pure and hard heartbreaker. He didn't react much to it and went back to his place. Exams took place and he left the school. During the discussion of him leaving school between his parents, they suggested that there is this new school in their hometown which is international and purely an English medium school. They knew how important it was at that time to be studying in an English medium as it would increase his chances to get a better job plus it would help him understand the world in different ways.

So now it was time to change the lanes to get better. It was his class 8th, sitting between 30 other students coming from high-class families, having knowledge about the whole world whereas Reyansh was just limited to the texts that were in his books. He didn't even have any interest in music, nor would he watch movies at that time. Moreover, in his last school, everything was taught in their local language, Hindi, but here everything was in English and that was going to be a challenge for him. It was like he didn't know English at all but he couldn't understand it properly when someone would come and talk to him in English. As he was sitting in his class, waiting for the teacher to come, he looked up to people sitting in class, noticing details about them, thinking from which area of India do they belong as there was this one guy which a very fair toned skin, his eyes were like those of people belonging to China.

He got nervous on the first day of his new school. He was sitting between these Hi-Fi guys, all dressed up properly, having cool hairstyles, doing conversation in English whereas he was there, properly dressed, under-confident guy, can barely speak English, Having a really bad hairstyle which he didn't change since his class 2nd. It was embarrassing for him to be dressed that way but he knew his mom would like him this way only so it was all cool to him. The teacher came in class, started teaching chemistry. It was the horror for him. Everything was being taught in English and he just couldn't get much of it. He was sad as the day ended. But without losing hope, he thought to learn English. Next day, he waited for the English lecture to start which was luckily, the first lecture. His teacher came into class, without any books, just had a smile on her face. She was this one adorable chubby person, who, if had a comparatively lesser age than what she was at that time, one would go up to her and would pull her cheeks.

She was a generous teacher cause everyone before her, came to the classroom, took the introduction of the students, and started teaching. While she was there, with no books or textbooks, came in with a smile, and stood in front of her desk and asked for introductions but in an informal way. She would listen to each and every student in her class and would ask questions on their introduction. It was time for Reyansh. He stood up slowly, freaked out of knowing what was about to happen. He started speaking in what we would say, a stammering voice. Those poorly woven words would come out of his mouth and would not make much sense at that time to any foreigner but as everyone was from there only, they could understand what he was trying to say. The teacher got to know what was Reyansh's background in terms of studies from the first word he uttered. She switched to Hindi then to which he could reply fluently. She was generous as she made everyone comfortable that were sitting in that room.

She told them that learning English isn't rocket science. It is very simple and very basic and that it just requires a little practice every day to be speaking like her. Her English speaking skills were flawless. As Reyansh heard her, he made his aim very clear, to one day, speaking like her in English. He would study hard and concentrated every day in his English classes and then would do the homework on time every day. He was actually improving in it. He made some friends on his first day. They were a bit like him, as he thought of it. His first and best friend, as he considered him that, was Bhushan.

Bhushan was this dark-complexioned guy, with his hair trafficking over his forehead and pimples all over his face. He was generous but a nerd as later he got to know. He was part musician part singer. He had that attitude which would make girls fall for him at that time which eventually led a girl to have her attention. Her name was Pallavi. She was this short height, straight hair girl with a tan and a black spot over her nose which was small but which cannot be ignored. It made her look pretty which was odd cause most of the time, those black spots don't really go well with the face.

So because of Bhushan, Reyansh met Pallavi, and in the very moment, he said hi, he considered her as his crush which hasn't happened with him before. Her smile was very attractive and she looked so cute with her hair tied up, resting on one side of her shoulders, she could get all the attention of the guys in a crowded place.

They chat for a while over Pallavi's desk as there was still time in their first lecture. They were the first friends that Reyansh made in this new school of him where he was an awkward and odd kid. They would sit on the same bench throughout the lectures and would roam around their newly built school, have lunch together. One day, on the way back home, Reyansh met this kid of his class named Tejas. He was this brown guy with the same height as that of Reyansh and a complete geek when it comes to computers and games. They immediately became friends when Tejas told Reyansh that he has studied in the same school with Reyansh's Elder brother whom he admired a lot.

So now, a new member was added to their small gang of three people. After a few days, another member named Mehul. A short guy, with a bit savageness in his tone whenever he would speak. He was also trying to set himself up in this new place and therefore, Reyansh and he shared a common bond.
