A Queen Herself

It's still one in the afternoon and the introduction ceremony will be held at six. Their house is an hour away from the mansion and she was waiting for Rose to come. She needs someone she can trust to take care of her child. A knock was heard from the door and as she opened it, she saw the perplexed expression on Rose' face.

"Hi Akira, Hi Noah,"Rose said when she saw Noah and her standing besides each other.

"Hi Rose. Sorry to bother you today but please take care of Noah. Noah go inside and let me talk to your aunt for a few minutes," I said and Noah goes inside.

"When will you be back?"Rose asked as soon as Noah was out of her sight.

"Rose how could you say that? Noah is a good child," I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Yeah. Of course he is," Rose said in a sarcastic way but in her mind was 'Please just come back right away. Staying here might make my empty skull explode from unanswerable questions. He's behave and doesn't even need someone to take care of him but when his curiosity starts, I'm dead.'

"I'll be back before nine. You have to feed Noah at six and he needs to sleep at eight o'clock since he has classes tomorrow. Help him on his assignment to if he has," I instructed her.

"Yeah, yeah,"Rose answered but her mind seems to be on somewhere else.

" I will leave now," I said and called Noah's name.

"Baby, listen to your aunt okay? Behave and I'll be back before you even know it," I said to my son.

"Sure Mom. Take care and don't let anyone bully you,"Noah said and he hugs me.

"Baby, I will. I need to go now. I love you," I said and cupped his cheek.

"I love you too mom," he said and kissed my cheeks After repeating my instructions to them, I now go and drive to the mansion.

After Akira left the house, Rose and Noah decided to watch some movie.

"Aunt I want some cookies and an orange juice," Noah requested.

"Sure," Rose said and got up to prepare cookies, orange juice and peanuts for her. After preparing the snacks, they choose a movie where the lead female which is the kings concubine, was supporting the king with everything she has.

"Aunt, can I ask you a question?" Noah suddenly asked while they were watching and Rose stiffened.

"What is it?" Rose asked back as she chuckled nervously.

"Why does the concubine need to do everything when she can't even become the king's queen?" Noah asked and I sighed with relief that he didn't asked something about historical facts.

"Noah, sometimes you don't need to be the queen to support someone. She loves her country more than his king and she can swallow every humiliation amd hardship if she can save it," I said.

"Then she's stupid for sacrificing herself and for marrying someone who doesn't even recognize and appreciate her efforts," Noah said.

"Noah, didn't you see? She may not be the queen in the king's eye but the subjects of the country and the officials recognize her as their queen. She doesn't need the position or the title because she can be a queen herself. At the end, the people will rebel and dethrone their king and choose her to lead them and their country's fate. Sometimes, you need a king to be a queen... but in this case, if you want a king then be a queen," I explained and Noah seems to be satisfied with my answer.
