Surrender

Rocketing forward at full speed, Shen was a blur as he sped across the ground. All the members of the Purple Lotus had backed off the moment Zaff had revealed himself. The battle was beyond their capabilities; however, that only truly sunk in when the fighting began. Seeing Shen moving so fast, Zaff's expression changed.

Pulling back his fist Shen punched at near full force. Holding up his sword, Zaff blocked the attack with the broad side of his blade. A shockwave transferred through the ground under the two, causing it to crack. Sliding back a few dozen meters, Zaff's face turned serious when facing Shen. "Alright, kid, not bad!"

Recovering himself, he charged towards Shen and sliced down at him the moment he came within range. Seeing the attack, Shen quickly flipped back, landing on his hands. Seeing a chance, he pushed himself off the ground and kicked towards Zaff's head. His leg cut through the air as Zaff regained his posture and leaned back, avoiding the kick.

'This kid… Moving like that is purely instinctual. He's never had any real training but still.' Feeling slightly impressed, Zaff stood back up straight and attacked Shen. Flipping back onto his feet, Shen quickly released Life Fibers from his hands. Turning to face Zaff, he saw a flurry of slashes from his sword fly towards him.

Controlling multiple different Life Fibers, he blocked each one, causing the space between them to fill with sparks. 'A Pro Huntsman is no joke. Fighting him straight won't work.' Shen immediately backstepped, putting distance between the two of them. "Oh no, you don't." Pointing his sword at Shen, it suddenly made a strange noise.

Firing like a gun, the tip of the blade separated itself from the segment behind it. Then that segment did the same until the entire blade was separated and fired forward, flying towards Shen. Metallic strings connected each segment of the blade, and they were white, just like the sword's tip.

"Oh?" Shen's eyes flickered and released multiple Life Fiber's from his body and wrapped them around the extending blade. 'Got Em.' Zaff felt his sword suddenly freeze and stop extending as Shen yanked his arm into the air. Zaff's entire body was lifted off of the ground as Shen turned and lowered his arm down.

Soaring through the air, still holding on, Zaff was slammed into the ground far behind Shen causing large chunks of rock to fly everywhere. "Well… That's an interesting ability you have there. Since you've shown me yours, let me show you mine." Standing up from the rubble, Zaff smiled a bit. He was covered in scratches, but for the most part, he seemed fine.

'Here it comes.' Shen's eyes narrowed as Zaffs eyes shifted to something behind him. Shen reacted before Zaff even made a move. Turning around, he kicked towards the space behind him, encompassing his leg in a purple aura. "Huh?" Zaff's voice echoed out as Shen's attack landed perfectly.

Zaff stood behind him with bulged eyes. He didn't even have a chance to react to Shen's first attack before it was followed up. Switching leg's he kicked Zaff in the side of the head, sending him flying. "A Semblance that allows you to switch places with physical objects. But you let your eyes wander a bit too much."

Shen had to really thank his past self for taking the time to read over all that information so carefully. Knowing about an enemy's Semblance beforehand lowered the risk a lot. Zaff, on the other hand, shook his head as he recovered and recovered using one of his arms. Landing on his feet, he glared at Shen and wiped the blood from his mouth.

"You..." He was prepared to say something however felt his body and vision falter slightly. He felt a chill climb his spine as pain infiltrated his body. "What the?" Catching himself from falling, he looked at his body. 'Poison?' Seeing him falter, Shen couldn't help but smirk. 'Looks like Karmic Retribution takes effect pretty fast.'

After a moment, Zaff felt the pain disperse as he corrected himself. 'This brat is too dangerous.' He had thought Shen would be easy enough to handle. However, despite him being more experienced and having an edge in close-quarter combat Shen's abilities were strange. Shen watched as Zaff disappeared once again.

His body switched places with one of the multiple pieces of debris that surrounded Shen. A rock was put in his place as he appeared at Shens right only a few meters away. His sword segmented as he attacked from a distance. The blade cut through the air like a whip and was fast as well.

Shen moved his head out of the way, relying purely on reaction speed as a cut appeared on his face. In the next instant, before he could retaliate, Zaff moved again. Dashing to the left, a blurry light cut through the ground he was standing on a moment ago, leaving a gash. Shen's eyes and senses were being pushed to the limit.

From the outside, no normal person could ever hope to keep up. Zaff completely stopped playing around as he abused his Semblance and speed. Shen was surrounded on all sides by what looked like after images of launching attacks. "Am I moving too fast for you, brat?" Regaining some confidence, Zaff appeared in front of Shen.

Raising his leg, he kicked Shen in the stomach, causing Shen to be thrown back. Rolling in the ground for a moment, Shen stood up on a knee. His breathing was slightly ragged, but it did not translate to his wounds. His body was not covered in light but bleeding cuts. It clearly showed who had the edge at the moment.

"Haha! That sheep-headed kid is dead! The White Fang were idiots for attacking us." Cedric cheered, feeling relief seeing Zaff had Shen on the ropes. The nearby Purple Lotus Members did the same as even their boss Taupher let out a sigh of relief. Standing up fully, Shen looked at Zaff and laughed lightly.

Zaff's expression changed when he heard Shen laugh. "Well, you weren't on the White Fang's list for nothing. Your semblance paired with your weapon makes it almost impossible to fight if your opponent is too slow. Though I'm sure, it takes a lot out of you..." Hearing that, Zaff's expression easied up a bit. 'I see.'

Lowering his guard a bit, Zaff smiled. "So what, you're hoping you'll last long enough for me to tire out? Sorry but I don't think your body is going to last long enough." Shen raised a brow as he shook his head. "Oh no, I was just pointing it out. I admit I underestimated Huntsman a bit, so this was a good experience."

Suddenly changes began to occur around the wounds on Shen's body. Slowly but still visible to the naked eyes, they began to close as the blood leaking from them disappeared. "I wanted to see if I could deal with you normally, but I doubt that's happening. Besides, in the end, I told someone I would meet them here in an hour, so we're going to have to cut this short."

Zaff's eyes widened, watching Shen's wounds suddenly heal. 'What? You can't heal wounds that fast even using Aura.' Shen's Amber eyes seemed to glow as black energy began to escape his body. "Devil Trigger." Shen's voice was inaudible to everyone as they saw his body was engulfed in a dark light.

An uncomfortable chill enveloped everyone watching as fear quickly followed. Glowing yellow eyes that belonged to something inhuman pierced through the darkness that surrounded Shen's body. As it began to fade, the unconditional fear everyone felt turned into pure terror. Multiple members of the Purple Lotus instinctively took steps back as they stared at what was before them.

As a Pro Huntsman, Zaff had seen terrifying creatures before. Grim were monstrous abominations and, at times, that could induce enough fear to scare someone to death. However, he always thought that he had gotten past that point. That even in the face of death or the worst kind of monster, he could remain fearless.

But that illusion was shattered as he stared at Shen. "What's wrong?" A deep, demonic voice reached everyone's ears as Zaff's body turned stiff. "What… What are you?" Shen's eyes narrowed a bit as he inwardly smiled. Without warning, he attacked as an uncountable number of Life Fibers formed a spear-like structure and struck towards Zaff.

"Huh?" Breaking out of his state of fear, he immediately utilized his Semblance. He teleported away as Shen's attack tore into the ground he was standing on. "Die!" Appearing behind Shen, he aimed straight for his heart. Everyone watched as Shen's chest was ran through exactly where his heart would be.

"He got him!" One of the members of the Purple Lotus exclaimed. Zaff's breathing was messy as he stared at Shen's back and thought to himself. 'Looks like-' Before he could finish his thought, he felt Shen's body move. His grip on his sword's hilt was immediately retracted as he took multiple steps back.

"Looks like I'm even harder to kill like who would have guessed." Shen's demonic voice carried hints of disinterest as his gaze fell onto the trembling Zaff. "You… But I…" Shen had a sword going straight through where his heart would be. Yet, he did not show signs of pain or bleeding. At this moment, Shen looked as if he was Immortal.

"Well then." Having grown in height, Shen looked down at Zaff, who had completely forgotten to use his Semblance to escape. "Ugh." Shen's hand grabbed his neck in an instant, lifting him off the ground while choking him. At the same time, he began using Karmic Retribution multiple times in a row.

Zaff felt his vision turn blurry as his mind began to lose its grip on reality. Image's flashed through his mind showing the horrifying sins he had committed. At the same time, his physical body was slowly giving out at the same time as his skin visibly began to turn paler and lose its color.

His eyes began to roll into the back of his head as every sense he had screamed in pain, and his mind crumbled. A visible smile was on Shen's face despite his appearance causing, even more, fear to deeply root itself into everyone. "Mon… Monster…" One of the Purple Lotus Members slowly began to raise his gun towards Shen while trembling.

Taupher noticed this and suddenly screamed. "Don't!" But it was too late. Shooting from behind Shen, multiple Life Fiber's transformed into spikes and flew towards every member of the Purple Lotus, including Cedric, who stood beside him. Within second's every last one of them was killed and impaled.

Their corpses flew into the air before landing on the ground, splattering. "Looks like that's enough." Shen's grip on Zaff's neck increased just slightly, but that was enough. A crack followed by Zaff's body turning entirely limp showed it clearly. Shen's grip on Zaff's neck loosened as he fell to the ground.

Two notifications came from Shen's System as he ignored them and turned to look at Taupher. The ladder froze when Shen's gaze fell on him. "Hmm… Let me repeat my previous 'Request.' Surrender to me without a fuss." Taupher's mouth felt dry as he stared at Shen and listened. 'In a single day… No in an hour he dismantled everything I've built.'

What could you do against that? What could he even say to Shen at this point. Bawling up his fist he lowered his head. "I- No, on behalf of the Purple Lotus we surrender." His voice was choppy but it still brought a smile to Shen's face. From behind him he heard praise. "I can't believe you did all this in a single hour."

Walking through the broken gate behind him Shen saw Torchwick walking towards him with a smile. Beside him Neo seemed to show clear amounts of wariness toward Shen. Guiding the two of them were both L1 and L2 who had completed the mission Shen gave them. "Right on time." Shen waved them over.

"From now on the Purple Lotus shall be directly under my control. As such everything you have belongs to me."
