Chapter 1: Beginning

He didn't know how he got here but Damien found himself floating in an empty space with nothing but a blue blob floating next to him.

"Argh my head. Wait how did I end up here oh that's right I died. I DIED!!! HOW ON EARTH DID I DIE.

Suddenly an enormous number of memories banged on him right away.

There was a lot of info to take in all at once but he remembers being with Sandra so where was she.

" Could you keep it down. I'm trying to sleep." The blue ball next to him suddenly spoke. The blue ball next to him suddenly spoke.

Damien recognized that voice almost immediately. He moved towards as he found out he could move in this form apparently.

" Sandra. Sandra wake up." She finally woke up albeit grumpily.

"You better have a good explanation for this or so help me God I will kill you. Oh wait we already are" she said ironically "but where are we?"

They suddenly heard voices around them.

" Their souls are connected no matter what we do. We can't separate them even if we wished." said a feminine voice.

"Be quiet and let me think woman on what to do." said one that sounded male.

"Are they talking about us?" Sandra whispered to Damien.

" It would appear so." Damien whispered back.

It only took a moment to be noticed by the two beings above them.

" Hello there young ones. I'm sure you must be confused but please allow us to explain." said the feminine voice in a soft soothing voice.

" You see our time to guide this universe is up as we are at the end of our lives and we are in need of successors. Our lives are coming to an end but yours have just begun." she explained to them.

" Your mission should you choose to accept will be to return to the guardian realm And..." her tone suddenly changed

an ominous one

Damien and Sandra were surprised by the revelation they just received. Damien was about to ask a question but was stopped as the male voice spoke.

"Initially we wanted to pick only Damien for this task then we thought, he cannot let him traverse this life alone he will need a life companion to be beside him at all times. So before this journey Sandra I have a question to ask you." he suddenly eyed the blue blob mischievously.

"Do you wish to take Damien as your life companion for all your life. To love and to hold, through good times and bad. Till eternity ends."

" Wait WHAT !!" Sandra said in surprise. This was too much for her. she had been happy on Earth. She didn't even know Damien that well they only met each other once and that was the time when she accidentally spilt coffee on him at a cafe. Sure he was angry but she apologized and then ordered coffee as an apology gift. That was it no more no less. I mean sure they had a great time but it wasn't a date or anything.

Then she died in her sleep. Which coincidentally is the same Damien died the same time she died and she wakes up here. Talking to people talking about guarding the universe and saving it from the great evil.

Damien's voice interrupted her thinking as he asked to talk to her.

"Can you please say yes. it would be extremely lonely if I'm alone and we'll be able to learn to love each other eventually. remember what he said. For all eternity. so we have time to learn do that right."

"What are you saying Damien we'll be essentially getting married and we are not ready for that now are we?" "I hear you but I'm not sure about this."

" You heard what they said our souls are connected. we can't be separated from each other even by them. now do you think we can avoid each other after knowing this." Damien asked.

Sandra shook her head then contemplated the options. Either they get married and choose to spend their lives together in the universe or they live a life full of loneliness rising to power and eventually meet here again.

"So what will it be?" the mysterious male voice asked. Everyone held their breath waiting for her answer.
