After Ye Shie fainted, and was confirmed safe by Xiao Mei. The Barrier around the manor slowly disappeared as if nothing happened in the first place.

Although some people got worried about the events that transpired within, most didn't care.

Some people like Principal Hao, upon seeing the barrier. Inquired City Lord Bai through Spirit Sense. All he replied was "False alarm, hahaha~ We're just trying our new barrier out! " City Lord Bai heartily replied.

Ye Shie who was lying on the ground unconscious for 10 minutes woke up.

But Scholar Li smiled and said contentedly "Yes, kid! That was good enough!" while nodding his head.

Ye Shie smiled from hearing Scholar Li's praise, "Hehehe" he laughed, proudly.

Meanwhile, the Xiao Couple who was hearing and seeing the conversation smiled wryly 'good enough?' they thought 'If that was good enough, then our training would all be useless'.

Then they laughed weakly, face-palming themselves from hearing Ye Shie's contented laugh. The Trio looked at Ye Shie and thought 'YOU FREAK!'.

Of course they wouldn't say that out loud, that would be impolite.

The sky was already dark, when Ye Shie woke up. So they went to the dining room to eat. This time, the trio went and joined with Ye Shie, seemingly tired and exhausted from the events. The only Exception was Ye Shie, who was jumping around excitedly thinking about Food.

Ye Shie, Scholar Li, and the Xiao Couple, eating dinner.

After dinner they all went to their respective rooms.

At night at Xiao Rou's bedroom, a 10 year old beautiful girl can be seen lying at her bed that is full of many fluffy pillows. From the time she arrived earlier, Xiao Rou kept staring outside from her window. He eyes shows confusion from the complex emotions in her heart from events that transpired earlier.

Sighing she began to close her eyes to go to sleep.

Then her door silently opened, and beautiful woman entered, walking towards the bed. She snuggled to the bed, hugging the child into her embrace.

"Xiao Rou my dear? Is something wrong my child?" She asked gently.

Hearing her mothers voice, the complicated emotions in Xiao Rou's heart calmed down a bit.

After a moment of silence, Xiao Rou spoke "Mom?" she asked her mother, turning around facing her.

"Yes my my Little Rou'er?" Xiao Mei replied tenderly.

"Can, Shie and me still be friends?" Xiao Rou inquired in confusion.

Hearing her daughters question, her eyebrows raised. She giggle and replied "Of course my dear~ Why not?" she asked gently.

"It's that, seeing Ye Shie's talent earlier. I compared it to mine..." She pause, this time silence pervaded.

Seeing her daughters conflicted expression she smiled gently and asked "and?"

"I-I can never do something like that mom, I never will be. *huff" she replied and began sobbing silently in her mothers embrace.

Knowing her daughters problem, Xiao Rou smiled and said

"Then, why can't you be friends with Ye Shie? Does he hate you?"

"N-no..." *Huff*

"Does he want you no more?"

"N-no..." *Huff*

"Then why?" upon hearing this question, Xiao Rou stopped sobbing and went silent.

Seeing her daughter became silent, she gently smiled and caressed her scarlet hair while patting her back, then she consolingly said "Rou, Ye Shie is a kind and gentle kid. He isn't like those young brats of those prominent clans and sects. Just be with him, and if he don't want you anymore, It's his lost okay?" She looked at her daughter eyes whos in her embrace, then she pinched her cheeks and said "For he will never find someone as pretty and as beautiful as my Little Rou'er" then smiled and kissed her forehead.

After cuddling for a moment

"You okay now?" Xiao Mei asked gently.

"Mmhmm" Xiao Rou nodded, and said "Thanks Mom" then she hugged her mother.

"Your welcome sweetie," Xiao Mei stood up, and went to the door. She stopped and looked back at her child and said "Goodnight my little Rou'er, I love you" She closed the door and went away.

Xiao Rou who also was sitting in her bed, also began to grin 'Y-yeah! What do I have to be afraid! He's only my stupid Ye Shie! Hmph!' but upon remembering the words 'my stupid Ye Shie' she blushed.

In Xiao Rou's eyes, the confusion and complex emotions in her heart, finally disappeared and was replaced by her usual confidence and determination and with a little something more.

'You may be more of a genius than me, but that doesn't change the fact that you're still my Ye Shie' after remembering her own words she blushed, again.

After taking deep breaths and finally calming down.

She hmph "Hmph!"and with that she stood up, and walked outside the door towards a certain bedroom on the second floor of the Xiao City Lord's Manor.
