3 The New Friendship

It all happened so fast I didn't have a chance to react. The next thing I know me and Felix are outside a small cafe trying to catch our breath. He looked right into my eyes and said "how long have they been doing that to you?" my eyes grew so big I thought they were going to pop out. "What do you mean," I said frantically. "How long have your parents been abusing you!" I knew he was angry just by the way he said that. "They abused me for 16 years," I said quietly under my breath. I looked down and tears just started rolling down my face. Before I even realize, he has me in his arms telling me everything was gonna be alright. After a while of crying, I finally realized what was going on and pulled away from him. At that moment everything started spinning and the next thing I know I'm unconscious. The day I finally woke up, I woke up to a new life. I had been unconscious for five days. When I woke up, Felix was right next to me sleeping. I wanted to be nice so I didn't wake him up, but when he woke up, everything changed. He woke up and immediately started crying. He was so happy that I was awake. Before he let be get off of the bed, he had doctors and nurses check to see if everything was okay. For once in my life someone was worried about me. For the first time in forever, I had a genuine smile on my face. I was happy! When Felix allowed me to go back to school, I was expecting him to forget all about me, and leave me alone. But he never did. Felix Morgan never left me alone again. From that day forward I knew I would never be alone again. From that day forward I knew that there would always be someone to love me. From that day forward I knew that there was now a"New Friendship."
