The Unforeseen Inheritor

After the virus crisis of 2019, infected people manifested superpowers. It led the world to a new era. An era of superhero and, of course, supervillain. Jack Raider, a thirteen-year-old fishing slave, is washed ashore on an uncharted island after being thrown off-board the fishing vessel he worked on. There he meets a weird old man who shows him images of a soon-to-be apocalypse. The old man gives him two choices: "Will you train under me or will wait for yours and the world’s demise?”
