First Impressions and School Life

Athena's POV:

It's been a few months since I arrived in Portugal and as you can guess things are just as same as it was in other schools. Once a girl named Riley asked a very stupid question and I pointed out and her friends didn't liked it at all. They started spreading rumours about me and I assure you there are the stupidest things you would hear like I said that a classmate of mine named Brooklyn has the most ugliest eyes and bird nest hair and the worse part of it she actually believed I said that. Just tell me how was Riley and her friends supposed to know my opinions when I don't even talk with them? And how does it's always them who knows everything about me when I don't even open my mouth? Guess people are too stupid to connect the dots and guess what I don't care . This already happened to me a thousand times and I don't think it will ever stop. Sometimes I wished I had a friend who would be loyal and not betray me like the others. By the way good things are I'm the class president, teachers love me, I learnt Portuguese and top student of the school and went to few competitions.Today the teachers informed me there will be a new student and I'm gonna have to help him since he can't speak in Portuguese. He is from U.S.A. I'm not gonna assume anything about him cause in the end it will never come true. "Class today a new student from America will be joining us" A boy with really light blond hair and sapphire blue eyes and he is really tall. I like to describe the eye colours that way. "His name is Draco Jackson and Athena would you mind if he sits next to you?" "No" he came over and sat next to me , every girl was looking at him like he is a god. Lovesick girls. " Hi Athena, I'm Draco" well that was a bit lame but whatever. "Hi, yeah teacher already told your name" "Yeah, I'm a bit nervous" "You don't need to" " I know but I can't help but feel a little" "Normal" "Yeah, how old are you?" my age? "I'm 14, you?" "15" "Cool" "Are you Portuguese?" he asked, must have notice my accent "No, I'm British" I said, "Cool" "thanks " "Your welcome"he said, well he seems like a great person be around, "Do you know how to speak in Portuguese?" "Yes, but can you keep it a secret?" "Why?" I asked confused. "So I can prank people here or listen to their gossips" here I thought he was the shy one. What a devilish idea, I like it "Okay, but what benefit you have from it?" I asked curious, "I'm gonna do it for fun, you could have just asked me about some gossips I heard about you" he said and I started at him blankly, he just got here and already heard the gossips about me? "If you are thinking how do I know, when I was going to the principal office, heard some people talking about a girl name Athena and then teacher told me you are Athena and you will help me here" Oh, must have been Riley. "I don't care what they say" " That's a good, I'm pretty much sure they won't give up" "How do you know these things" "Secret" wow, " whatever, we should really pay attention now" "Well I really don't need to pay attention since 'I can't speak Portuguese' you know" He said with a evil smile on the face, gosh I really thought he was good. He's acting like a total troublemaker. "Anyways, what's your favourite subject?" "Physics, yours?" "Cool, mine's also" "Nice" I said and went on to pay attention to the teacher when I heard him chuckling quietly "Going insane I see"I said a bit annoyed "Didn't you hear?" "Hear what?" Am I deaf? "Those girls on the first desk was talking about us. They are saying that maybe you like me" first of all, he just came here and I'm not interested in dating anybody and second of all, how did he heard them? We are sitting in the back sit. "How did you heard their conversation from here?" "Aren't you going to say anything about them thinking you like me?" " first of all, I don't care what they think and second of all don't dodge my question" "Maybe I have a better hearing than you" "Shut up and please pay attention" " but I don't know how to speak in Portuguese" "Here I thought you were actually good" "Am I not?" " you are a devil in angel's disguise at first sight" "Geez thanks" " Your welcome" "Wanna be my friend?"he asked hopefully, why not? As long as he proves that he is loyal. "Sure" "Ayeeee, I got the quiet girl as my friend!" He said happy. "Ayeeee, I got the devil as my friend" I said bored and he just hit me on the side. "Class end and there is no homework for next class" I have spent 1 hour talking with him and good thing I already know this and the teacher didn't gave homework. "So, we have 4 ten minutes breaks, 1 fifteen minutes break and one hour lunch break?" "Yep" "Wow this is gonna be fun" "Yea" I said and right then I heard the annoying high pitched voice "Hey new boy I'm Jenny and these are my friends Rosaline and Meredith" "Hi I'm Draco" he waved awkwardly and them ignoring me completely. Now I don't know whether he is actually feeling awkward now. "Wanna join us and meet some other boys from our class?" Rosaline asked "No thanks. I can meet them later" "Come on it will be fun" Meredith pleaded. Of course they always go after boys, specially the good looking ones. Okay Draco is in fact really handsome. "I don't want now maybe later" he said a bit annoyed. "Okay" the three said together and walks away, must have sensed that he got annoyed. "So..." "So what?" I asked "What were we talking about?" "I don't remember and besides, it's time for next class" "Let's just go to the class" he said "Ok" I replied feeling an unusual feeling that I never felt before.
