Chapter 2: But you promised.

"An..y... Thing?" Belle asked again, changing her tone, her smile reaching from ear to ear, she looked like the Grinch.

      "Yeah Belle anything" I said absent mindedly while I was typing away, I had a project to do even though I do not have to finish it or hand it in early I want to,  I always finish my work, that's how much I love work..

        "You promise? " I heard Belle asked again

       "Yeah sure whatever" I replied thinking what's the worst thing she can ask for, prolly new mangoes.

         "No Avery, you have to say you promise" she said, taking my laptop away from me and looking me straight in the eye.

         "OK, I promise belle, can you hand me back my laptop so I can continue my work now? " I asked noticing her silence.

        "No you can't" she replied

     "Isabelle Antonia-Rosette Gomez, Why.... " I looked at her confusedly standing up to get my laptop from her hands, my eyebrows squishing together and my mouth in a pout.

          "Cos you promised" was all that came out of her mouth, I looked at her still not getting her, not understanding what she meant.

           "What did I promise you? I only said I promise a few minutes a.. g..o" I trailed off as I finally got what she meant.

        "No no not happening, its definitely not happening" I said trying to get my laptop from her hands again.

         "But you promised" she said pulling out puppy dog eyes on me and putting my laptop high over her head, her model long legs giving her a advantage over mine.

       " Not falling for it, see, I'm just gonna close my eyes" I told her covering my face with my palms.

         "I don't need to do that, I mean the puppy dog eyes because remember you hate breaking promises, remember Avery, so you are definitely going with me" she said smirking, knowing that she'd won this one.

       Oh my God, curse my conduct of promises, I thought as I hit my forehead with my palm... I was still thinking about it when

"Here you can have it back"

Belle dropped my laptop, took a bag of chips from where it was on the table and she left the living room laughing out loud, her voice echoing even after she'd left...
