14 Where to now

A tingle rises up the back of my neck as a mellow rage consumes me. As the essence from the void around flows into my very being, I begin to see the previously unseen door slowly open.

Opening my real eyes I look down onto the Planet Enorm.

"It truly is a small world."

Sensing a sudden movement I notice it is my mother.

"I guess if you compare it to a few of the planets you've previously destroyed maybe, but remember this is where it all began." She says to me while summoning her staff.

"So when those a young one such as myself get an angel staff?" I ask.

Seeing her suddenly doing gestures I ignore them. The Journey ahead will be a strange one it seems.

"Do you really need one when you can do half the things you can do?"

"You mean the the near perfect control over most forms of energy that allows me to do miraculous things?" I say to her before suddenly feeling the great ape transformation begin.

"Actually hold up."

Quickly willing the essense around myself to redirect the energy coming from the moons stops the transformation as I feel it begin to settle back down.

"You will grow used to it."

Taking a moment to look in her direction I feel the rage begin to constrain itself.

"I guess the training wasn't for nothing huh."

"Of course. I would never train you for no reason obviously, its just that you have to remember that you have to figure out the rest yourself now."

Doing a light stretch, I stop after delivering a series of kicks cutting into the void. Gesturing for mother to follow I step through. Seeing the transition from pure black with an ambient blue to a lush green forest I take a moment to adjust to the gravity.

"I still don't know how you do that." Stepping through the portal before it closed mother asks the same question she has asked everytime I do something 'extraordinary'. Of course I just give her the same response.

"I just do it. Like I just hit the fabric of space with a combo that targets unseen points that once destroyed in a certain pattern will cause a chain reaction that will then proceed to the send a very precise signal to the desired location. Now here is the tricky part. You need to use the correct amount of ki in each blow or you will not be able to destory the points. To much force you rebound , to little no impact. As you deliver the final hit you must make sure to hit hard enough to send the now separated piece of space through the void to the destination and which finally makes a portal," I say to mother as she use her item ring to change from her angel attire to a more mundane outfit with different shades of dark brown. Looking at her now chestnut brown hair I shrug.

Seeing my white hair come down over my eyes and change back to black I will the essence around me to sharpen into a blade cutting my hair.

Sending out my I find a rode almost instantly. "It seems like there is a rode just ahead of us here."

"I don't think 100 km is 'just ahead of us'. That's a nice trek."

Using my item ring to change out of my training gi to a basic jeans and hoodie combo I respond with.

"Well it's not much if we put some effort in our toe muscles." I say to her.

"Or we could fly."

"Truuu."

Rising up over the treeline we took off towards the capital.

"So what exactly are we going to be doing here?" I ask her while juggling a few planets with my other conscious.

"Well I already have a role here to play and as my son that automatically gives you one." She says.

Bringing my attention away from the fields of farms below us. I look towards her.

'I don't like where the sound of this is going.'

Seeing the evil smile on her face I just knew.

"And what role would that be?" I ask while trying to sound as unconcerned as possible.

"Little ol me?" She says whiling point her chest. "I'm just your everyday SS Rank adventurer."

"Why do I feel like that means way more then you are making it out to be."

Coming down to land close by to the eastern gate I am able to see a long line of people and carriages. As we got closer people began to put more attention on us, or to be more exact my mother.

"Is that the who I think it is?"

"It's Ella!"

"She has returned!"

"Who is that walking with her?"

"Never seen em before that's for sure."

Making our way to the front of the line, I can't help but ask "You sure seem famous. And is it ok for us to be cutting the line like this?"

Waving me off she responds, "Stop worrying so much will you. Just let me do the talking."

Now at the entryway I was intrigued by the security. They had multiple guards stationed on the walls and sentries dotted and even intervals. Walking up to one of the guards to the side of the entrance I watch as mom takes the lead.

" Hey Freddie long time no see."

Looking towards the person speaking to him, Freddie does a quick double take after seeing who is.

"Has Ella the Red Witch finally returned home to us?"

Laughing slightly mother hits the man in the arm causing him to stumble a bit.

"Oh stop with that nickname. You know I hate it since it makes me sound like some old crone."

Bringing up her hand a card appears as she hands it the guard. Pointing towards me she explains to him that I'm her son and that I don't have any id yet since it's the first time I'm going into any town.

"Damn you even have a kid now huh." Looking towards to me he continues. "And he about big as hell. Hey Gene right? I'm an old friend of your mother's from back when we were still in The Academy."

"The Academy. How long has it been now Fred? Time sure does fly by. Anyways I'll let you two go on with your day." He says after handing mother back her card.

"It was good seeing you again Freddie."

"Same to you."

Waving him off we made our way down the main road. Grabbing some fried dumplings eat mother finally explain the plan.

"So here is what's going to happen, or at least the plan that is. We are going to go to the Hunters Guild to get you an id and rank then afterwards we will meet my family."
