12 The Realisation

"W....k.....Wa.....k."

"Wake UP!"

*smack*

Feeling a jolt going across my face I begin to become aware of my surroundings. Seeing myself inside of an oh so familiar forest.

Looking left and right I'm suddenly surprised to see my mother looking over me.

"Are you finally awake?"

Suddenly really confused I give my mother a look as if asking for answers.

"I know what you are thinking. 'What just happened' right? Well let me me explain. So you know the barrier that I set around the crater right? Remember when I told you not to leave before becoming a Kai, so their was an spell cast upon it that puts anyone who tries to leave below the Kai stage into an Illusion."

"Wait so you are saying that the town I explored was fake?" Cutting her off before she finished her explanation, I felt my senses flare up. Ducking slightly, I managed to dodge the sudden back hand from my mother.

"As I was saying." Continuing as if she had not just tried to back hand me. "I know that you have a ton of questions, but let me finish."

Forming a chair made from fire she sat down. Noticing I was still laid out on the ground I sit up and cross my legs.

"Now before you bombard me with to man questions just know I can answer everything because of lack of time plus the fact I do now know everything. Just many things. Son if you haven't noticed yet you have already partially stepped into the Kai stage after breaking the illusion. While I did have a hand in what you saw and heard, in the end it was an experience guided by your imagination. You have always been an artistic one, so being lost in your world may make you feel all powerful, but in the end there is one thing you will always need and that is CONTROL. That is the one thing that separates a mortal and a KAI."
