16 Challenger

Landing in the courtyard inside the fortress walls of the guild we make our way to the main building. Opening the door revealed a quite spacious lobby filled with many people. Our entrance has seemed to not have gone unnoticed as multiple groups of people stopped what they were doing to look our way.

Hearing the low murmurs from the groups mentioning my mother's return sparks an interest in me since she says she is just your everyday adventurer.

Walking by her side has everyone's attention on me as well since no one has seen me here before.

"Ella I see that you are back and even brought yourself a new toy to play with."

Looking towards whoever was speaking revealed it to be a pretty butch warrior with a bald head and scar running across his forehead.

Seeming to recognize the warrior mom just laughs.

"Wilbur it's good to see you are still as ugly as ever and the new toy you speak of is my son so watch yourself."

*silence*

The whole guild that was quite lively became quiet in a mere second.

"NO WAY!"

"THAT CAN'T BE TRUE?!"

"You are saying the Red Witch actually has a kid now? Haha, can't wait to tell Franke. Guy will probably fall in despair."

Hearing everyone's response to the fact that mom has a kid surprises me.

"Mom, is it that surprising that you have a kid?"

Instead of her answering, Wilbur did instead.

"Kid if you knew your mother as we know her then you would be surprised to."

"What is that supposed to mean now hmm?"

Seeming to not like his response mother who out of nowhere was behind puts a hand on his shoulder. Wincing in pain WIlbur quickly gives an excuse.

"AH come on now, like how can you blame us when you had turned down all of your suitors for who knows how long. That's not even counting all the clans that are no longer a thing since you killed them all for chasing after you."

"!!!"

"Mom I hate to interrupt you and your friends reunion, but it seems that I'm being challenged."

Feeling the aura from the Kai Beast bearing down on me and me only I cannot help but scoff.

"I'll be back."

Before anyone could even say anything I teleported over the expansive battlefield. Looking over to were a griffon like beast that is standing on a small hill of bodies I can't help but think about the fact that I'll be adding it's own to the pile.

"Yoo."

Giving what I will call a griffon for now a greeting to see if it had any form of higher sentience I wasn't to surprised to find it replying to me.

Hearing the utter arrogance radiating from it's tone I just chuckle.

"That's cute since you are the one who was trying me up with that minuscule amount of power."

Appearing before me it brings down its beak on my forehead.

*Clash*

Bringing my head down slightly to dodge its right claw, I quickly move my body sideways to dodge a fairly powerful wind blade from behind. I bring my head up with a bit of power crashing into it's head launching the griffon a few yards away from me.

*BOOOM*

Before it has time to recuperate, I appear above it sending leg drop which dropped it all the way down to the ground.

Taking my left hand out of my pocket I launch a few ki blast to test things out. As the dust cleared I am able to see that it could reflect the ki blast with relative ease.

*BoOooM*

Landing a headbutt right between its head I watch as the land around us begins to break apart and rise above us creating a massive ravine.

"Didn't you say enough talk?"

With my forehead still connected to it's head, I stare dead into it's rage filled eyes.

*WHOOSH*

Feeling the wind essence rush towards the griffon I land on the ground and take a few steps back. Seeing it being enveloped in a green aura, I find myself surprised to see it taking a Humanoid form.

Now standing on to feather covered legs, with long brown hair going down to the small of his back and a glowing green pattern in it's eyes, it brought it arms up seeming to be admiring itself.

*Crash*

"You act like you are the only one with a transformation."

Seeing lightning crash in the surroundings as the essence around us surges towards me, I feel lightning crawling over my body and my hair begin to rise up.
