18 Bodied

"The stars sure do look nice out there just twinkling." I say out loud to no one in particular.

Turning my sights away from the extra bright moon, I start to wonder when the Kai Beast is gonna be done charging up. It's been at it for a good minute now. I guess I just study it's ki flow since there is nothing else to do.

You might be wondering why I'm just letting it charge up getting stronger right? Like isn't this prime time to just attack and hand it a L?

Well after so many battles I figured out the stronger the enemy, the bigger the zenkai boost. Since as I get stronger, my body becomes more resilient so finding someone that is strong enough to inflict damage is a must.

As that internal dialog is going on I notice that the Ki from the Kai Beast has an almost natural resonance with the surrounding essence. It doesn't seem to be because affinity, but synergy.

Thinking about it for a moment it seems that I may have been going about this wrong from the get go. This whole time I've just been accumulating the surrounding essence and converting it into my own Ki and slowly increasing my capacity without actually forming an actual connection between myself, my Ki and the surrounding essence.

"Let me try something."

Closing my eyes for a moment I take in a deep breath.

*Inhale*

Seconds go by.

*Exhale*

Those seconds turn to minutes which feel like hours.

After who knows how long, I feel a strange tingle near my lower abdomen close to where the spine and hips meet.

'What's happening?'

Snapping my eyes open I look in the direction of the massive energy source that is enveloping the surrounding area .

Seems like our little friend is finally done charging up. Taking note of the massive spike of power literally emanating from it like a light show a smile creeps up on my face.I can't help but wish I had a proper comparison to give it. If anything the size of its aura, which is at least 50 feet high, should tell you something.

Snap Vanishing to his right and delivering a jab straight to his neck I jump back moving out of the way of a deadly kick that would have my pancreas feeling some type of way.

"Less talking more fighting." I say to it since I want to feel it's full power for myself.

*!*

Bring my left arm up above my head I block a drop kick with enough force to blow back a mountain. Going for a grab I miss, or more like it dodged it while delivering a few quite a few punches which I happily received.

Slightly wincing from the pain I'm glad to see that it's power up wasn't just for show this time around since there is actually some damage.

*!!*

Turning sideways and jumping let's me dodge a cross shaped wind blade.

*!*

Ducking my head and bring my knees up allows me to dodge the low kick and wind blade aimed at my head. Using some Ki to propel myself back I extend my legs into it's stomach.

<URGh>

Left, Right Left I dodge his attacks. Snap Vanishing behind it I aim to for it's spine hoping to maybe paralzye it, but It disappears appearing to my left. I vanish to it's right, however I find it under me charging up a ki blast. Quickly throwing one out although much smaller allows me to cancel it out.

*BANG*

We Grapple in the smoke. Feeling an arm around my neck I tighten up and bring my left elbow back into it's stomach with a high concentrated spike of Ki at the point causing a hole to open up in it's abdomen.

-Down Below-

Everyone stood in the Guild's courtyard not quite believing what they had witnessed. I young boy who seemed no older then 17 not only went to face the Kai Beast that had been terrorizing them for who knows how long, but dragged it who know's how high up into the sky.

Wilbur who was there to witness it all turns to his long time friend.

"Ella your son seems to be quite something haha." With an almost nervous laugh not knowing how to process it all he waits for her response.

Seemingly not really knowing how to respond to the sudden attention she scratches her head.

"What can I say it must be the blood flowing through his veins. I can't even claim to have been able to go toe to toe with a being at the Kai level at that age." pausing for a moment as if thinking she then continues, "The only thing is that I hope that this doesn't bring any unnecessary troubles."

Nodding his head in understanding of the kind of trouble she is referring to he speaks up.

"Well as long as he doesn't kill it you guys should be ok. Since those at the Kai level usually have a following be it man or beast, killing one means antagonizing their whole following."

*CRASH*

"Hey mom what should I do with this body? Can we turn it in for some coins in the guild?"

Everyone turned to the person speaking and instantly paled seeing Gene return while lifting up the body of the now dead Kai Beast.
