6 The Coronation III

The first had fallen

Screams filled the room within an instant. That feeling of fear that someone had just been killed in a blink of an eye inside a C class dungeon and nobody even saw it.

"Nobody move a muscle!" The captain spoke. I could feel every part of my body shivering with fear. The only people that looked somewhat calm were those who were already full of adrenaline. But soon, their highs of energy would dwindle and reality would strike. The previous streams of red now lead to one point, under the throne of the the king figure. The commandment that had been illuminated buy the crimson elixir. It looked like a passage out of a holy book.

THESE ARE THE COMMANDEMENTS FROM YOUR LEADER.

1. A TEST OF STRENGTH, STEP TO THE ALTER AND PROVE YOUR WORTH.

2. A TEST OF HONESTY, SHOW YOUR FAITH WITH YOUR WILL TO LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS.

3. A TEST OF SACRIFICE, GIVE WHAT IS DEAREST TO YOU TO OUR LEADER.

4.A TEST OF FAITH, TRUST IN THE LEADER AND BELIVE IN HIS PROTECTION.

ANY DEVIATION IN THE COMPLETION OF THESE TASKS WILL END IN DIVINE PUNISHMENT AND THE ONLY WAY FOR YOU TO SURVIVE IS TO ADHEAR TO THESE COMMANDEMENTS.

Terror. That was the only thing i could tell you that i felt. I was insignificant in this moment. I couldn't go against these things no . These monsters . And the way how we knew to follow these was we saw it first hand. One of us tried to escape and it ended in his violent death. His body was eviscerated. We all locked eyes and knew that if we didn't follow these conditions it would lead to our immediate, unmerciful death.

The captain called out « we mustn't follow these rules everyone. If we do it will surely lead to something bad. » he exclaimed in a stoic voice

Those who were ignorant and blinded by his rank followed him

i screamed " are you all insane, we watched ourselves, he was killed within a matter of seconds and you still think defying these things is the correct thing to do ! "slowly some were being swayed off their path of death, "i could save them " I thought to myself although looking back ,it was a waste of breath to try and convince them. I mean who could blame them why would the listen to someone as weak as me.

"tempest look its the alter that the first thingy spoke about " said Jessica. She was our healer. She was calm , kind and well mannered. She was a good slayer, she was an amazing healer as well, I think she must have realised that the most likely way that we were going to survive was to follow these rules given by the monsters.

"Perfect " i said. We could finally get out of this hell hole. It was a piston, "a test of strength " i quietly whispered to myself. Suddenly it hit me, we had to push the piston closed. We got all the people that chose to take a chance in me and all put our hands on the plate, around twelve of us had our hands, suddenly something sharp had marked us.

"THE FIRST TEST HAS BEEN COMPLETED BY 12, ALL THOSE WHO DIDNT SHOW STRENGTH WILL BE PUNISHED "

The other twelve were swiftly attacked ruthlessly by the statues, they were torn to complete shreds, nothing was left behind. And just as fast as the first , twelve more had fallen.
