24 (24) Ownership of the Dungeon

"Show me your Data Rock."

Lysine quickly left the stone chair, her face was pale and her eyes spoke of fear, not for herself, but for her 'family'. Upon getting of the chair, she brushed the side of her tail against the stone back, elegantly like an artist's stroke. Soon, lines of information started to appear, most of which Kraton already knew because Lysine had told him pretty much everything.

After scanning through the data, Kraton approached the chair, causing Lysine to shrink back slightly and move out of his way.

Kraton's eyes returned to the top of the Data Rock and grunted something inaudibly. Lysine knew that Kraton was looking at her title; being the Boss of Ophid Crypt. She had renamed the dungeon and taken ownership of the place, but she was scared that all her work would be in vain if she was sent away.

Kraton pressed his palm onto the rock twice, once at the bottom of Lysine's Data Rock, and the second time on an empty piece of rock beside her Data rock. Shortly after, his own Data Rock appeared.

"Sign it." Kraton bluntly ordered Lysine to go up to the rock after he had stepped back. She slowly slid her way up, her eyes were downcast and sad. Because they had not fought, the Dungeon would not let Kraton reclaim the ownership just by summoning his Data Rock and requesting to be the Boss again. She had only been able to claim ownership yesterday because Kraton had coincidentally left his dungeon and summoned his Data Rock elsewhere, without informing the Dungeon of his leave beforehand. This made both the Dungeon, and Lysine believe that Kraton had abandoned the place.

Therefore, Lysine had to transfer the ownership to Kraton, through his rock after Kraton had made the request on her rock. Of course, she could always fight, however Lysine had lost hope that she could beat him after glancing at Kraton's information.

She was undoubtedly suprised when she read that Kraton; the so-called weakest Boss, was level 10. But since this was the case, she stood no chance at all if they fought. She didn't even hold any hopes of requesting to be an elite in the Dungeon. Who would want a level 5 to be an elite if they were level 10? The obvious answer was no-one.

Lysine read through Kraton's data before resting her eyes on the request near the bottom. She was about to swipe her tail to sign the request, however she noticed something and froze. A mixture of emotions flowed through her, her face somehow went even more pale, before flushing red, and then her eyes started to water up and cry.

She turned round to question Kraton, however he had already wandered off to inspect the room. "Why...." She sobbed quietly before signing the request with her shaky tail.

~~~
<Cleric Oscar has been killed> <Knight Finn has been killed> <Knight Hux has been killed> <Warrior Pryde has been killed>
"Huh?" A white robed Priest stood alone in the large Boss room, his head shook around confusedly. Just a moment ago, all five of his party was alive, with the three swordsman surrounding the Boss. The Cleric had been knocked aside byt the Boss, and when he turned round to heal the cleric, he only caught the glimpse of the dispersing white light before recieving the death notification in the kill-feed. And then in that short moment, the three swordsman had also been killed before he could even turn round again.
The Priest lifted up his wooden staff, the slightly golden wooden cross at the end shone brightly as the Priest cast 'Light Orb' in fear when the Boss started approaching him.
"Aaargh!" The Priest managed to scream out in fright just before he got sliced in half. As he got resurrected, he still wondered how the three almost full-health swordsman had been killed in such a short amount of time. Just a moment ago, they were sure they had this dungeon in the bag.
<Priest Zorii has been killed by Boss Lysine>
<Raid Party 'Star Battle' has been defeated>
<Bonus experience has been given for not taking more than 15% of damage to your health after successfully wiping a party>
<Experience has been shared by the given contract agreement>
The time now was 21.02, and the last party had just been slain, Kraton slumped down by a wall, he wasn't exhausted, but just too lazy to continue standing. Lysine stayed standing, but was unsure whether to stand or sit down. Making up her mind, she approached Kraton and sat down in front of him, coiling her tail to let her sit.
"Thank you," Her voice was quiet, and still wavering. She still couldn't believe what had happened that day, and it was all thanks to Kraton. Kraton looked up and gave a small, but ugly grin.
"You can sit on your chair, or go to sleep if you want." Was all that he said, sending Lysine off. She returned to the central chair and curled up, resting with a smile whilst recounting today's event.
Lysine rembered herself signing the request, it was one of her happiest moments in her life, but at that time she was still full of shock, unable to fully appreciate it.
'Kraton requests to work as Boss partners in Ophid Crypt, the requested shares are: 10% to 90% of experience, for now.'
This single request was full of suprises, not only did Kraton not kick her out, she was even allowed to keep her position as a Boss. Furthermore, 90% of the experience was given to her. Initially she wondered if there was a mistake, but she eventually recalled that Kraton was level 10, it wouldn't help much for him anyway. Due to this, Lysine was very grateful to Kraton.
The suprises for that day wasn't over yet either, being the boss in the dungeon for a day already, she had fought some parties yesterday, however they were all hard battles, she never would have thought that today, they managed to party-wipe all of the raid-parties without her even losing more than 20% of her health in any of the battles.
Kraton had hid in the shadows each battle using the skill 'Hide', and had let Lysine do the fighting at the start, only after a while did Kraton come out, use 'Conceal' and instantly kill the humans, never needing to use more than three attacks on the same person. Because they had gained the bonus experience from party wiping, Lysine was now level 7! Her growth rate was outstanding, this led Kraton to believe that her Innate Talent had something to do with experience, however Kraton had no means to test his hypothesis because he lacked the necessary Tablet Foundation to do so.
Even though Lysine was already level 7, she hadn't actually killed that many players, therefore she had yet to meet the requirements to go to the Novice Boss gathering. Tomorrow, though, Kraton decided to let her do all the killing, and only help out if she was in a struggle.
Seeing that Lysine had already fallen asleep, Kraton made his way silently to the stone bed and closed his eyes.
"Sigh... I can finally be lazy in this Dungeon"
