2 (2) Death awaits

It was already 7:00 and around 5 parties had already entered his dungeon, they were all mainly composed of level 1 to 3 players, but one had a level 4 serving as their captain. None of these groups had yet to visit Kraton in his boss room, this was due to the limited number of loot and experience that Kraton dropped, it was much more worth it to farm levels and loot in the second floor as these monsters respawned faster whilst Kraton respawned once the party that killed him left the dungeon. Most players would only pop by this boss room in order to grind their proficiency in skills because Kraton had more health than lesser monsters, in other words a better sandbag.

It was only at 7:32 when Kraton heard the squeals of the goblin guard at the door, signifying that it just got slaughtered and a group was approaching. The slab of rock that served as a door was pushed open and Kraton couldn't help but grin with glee as he saw there were three level 1 players, and two level 2 players, what was even better was that all three of the level 1 players were healing and support roles:

2 priests and 1 cleric; priests were much better healers but had lower health and attack, whilst clerics had more health, weak healing skills but could cast buff and debuffs.

It seemed that the two level 2 warriors believed that they could win with a constant healing stategy whilst the cleric stacked up buffs over time, causing a battle of attrition.

Kraton roared out his classic dialogue "I AM KRATON!" he didn't add anything else as he was afraid that adding "I'm gonna murder you now" would make him look too smart for a level 3 boss. Players and some monsters only learnt the skill 'analysis' at level 5, and therefore couldn't see Kraton's rise in level or stats.

"Den Si, start casting strength buffs on me, Dao and Shi, heal us when we get attacked." instructed one of the warriors. Both warriors then charged directly at Kraton with their broadswords waving in the air like they were saying "Pick me! Pick me!"

"RAAARG!"

Kraton smashed the ground causing the five players to jump in fright at the sudden stupidity of attacking the ground instead of the charging warriors. Using this brief moment of hesitation, Kraton charged towards the group, the warriors held their swords in a defencive stance getting ready for the impact, leaning forward a bit and closing their eyes at the moment collision was meant to occur.

*THUNK*

"MY NORSE" wailed the talkative warrior, his nose was bent to the side due to falling flat onto his face against the hilt of his sword.

"Ayyy! Heelp" cried the group of supporting players as Kraton lumbered past the fallen warriors and headed directly towards the three.

"KeKeKe" Snarled the walking furball, 'Now, how do I kill one of them without looking smart?' pondered the same beast. Kraton suddenly dived towards the nearest terror-stricken priest Shi, the sight of the face of a hairy beast toppling and obscuring his whole vision caused Shi to wet his pants causing a "Shiiiiiii" noise.

Grabbing Shi as he was falling, Kraton almost laughed, but instead got slowly back up and held Shi close to his face and opened his mouth. "ROOOAR" spittle flew from his mouth and then *SPLAT* Kraton had thrown the poor Shi onto the floor, picking him up yet again Kraton held Shi by his foot and looked at him hungrily.

"P-Please save me! I d-don't want to lose a level!"

*SPLAT*

Shi was thrown down again. This happened a few more times in roughly ten seconds until Shi's bar of hp depleted to zero. <Priest Shi killed by Boss Kraton>

Shi then dispersed as a white light and was revived in a hotel room with a still soggy pant.

The remanining four players had grouped up again and left Shi to die whilst Den Si carried on casting buffs on broken-nose warrior, by now, strength was at a multiplier of x2.3 and could easily kill Kraton in 4 or 5 hits.

"Well S***" murmered Kraton as he glared at the party. Kraton raised his fist and mindlessly charged towards the group again. The force of his first punch caused the silent warrior to be thrown 4 meters back, but the damage was instantly negated by the remaining priest. Broken Nose then slashed at Kraton doing immense damage and shortening the hp bar by around one fifth. Broken Nose then lept forward and slashed again, twice. By now Kraton was feeling adrenaline pulsing through his veins and charged again. The silent warrior had rejoined Broken Nose and got ready to bear the impact of the charge. Both took their defencive stances, leaned forward and anticipated the impact of the hairy boss.

*THUNK*

"ARGHH, I have amother mose bleed!" Broken Nose had once again fallen over, right onto his nose causing pain to erupt again. At the same instance, Kraton reached the priest and the inertia from the charge flung the priest Dao against the wall. <CRIT> Dao was pierced against a random rock spike in the wall. <Critical injury, bleeding status> The additional damage was almost as much as a regular attack from Kraton, depleting Dao's hp bar until it became red, in the heat of the moment, Dao forgot he could cast heal on himself and instead watched his hp decrease even more due to the bleeding status. When it got to zero, he then dispersed as light and vanished.

During this time Broken Nose was helped up by the silent warrior and the cleric, and once again raised his sword. Both warriors leaped towards Kraton's back and plunged their swords into his shoulder. Kraton shook with pain and anger and tried to swat the warriors of his back, however they had already jumped down to safety. Kraton turned round and let out a violent roar, spit and blood flew out of his mouth as he glared down at the remaining party. Kraton then fell over and disappeared.

<Ding, dungeon Boss Kraton has been slain>

"Woo! My slash profibency raised by a lewel!" Broken Nose shouted in glee. As the three celebrated their sucess, they totally forgot about the two priests and after leaving the dungeon, they immediately went to the tavern without them.
