8 RESPONSIBILITIES

Seeing that Raj was about to say something, his father concluded by saying "That's it, we'll do has Harshitha says. Tomorrow you'll go with Harshitha to get your marriage certificate, is it clear Raj?"

Ravi knew that Harshitha was passionate about her profession, so he genuinely supported Harshitha. He also knew how lazy his son is and no matter how many times he scolds or yells at him, he didn't change. He could only hope that this strong woman might be able to change that lazy aspect of him.

Raj could only shut up and nod his head.

Seeing that both the father and son agree to her words, she gave a smirk and thought how they would look like when she would divorce him. She also found a crucial weakness of Raj, which is he never disobeys his father. Taking this into her advantage she braved herself to propose that statement, betting on her future father in law would support her and seems like she made the right bet.

Later only the two men conversed with each other, after having breakfast Raj directly went to his room telling Prasad to meet him in his room after he had his breakfast.

After 10mins or so, Prasad knocked on Raj's room door.

"Come in" said Raj.

Prasad opened the door and came in. Before he could say anything he was interrupted by Raj "Close the door, lie on the bed."

Prasad did what he was asked for and lied on the bed. After a few seconds he could feel Raj's hand on his chest, a hot sensation spread from his hands and it went towards his injuries. It was so comfortable he just fell asleep.

After a long time, Prasad opened his eyes and woke up. He was completely surprised his injuries which were unable to be treated by many doctors were healed with in a day of time? He looked around but he couldn't find Raj, so went out of the room.

As Prasad came down from second floor, he could see Ravi and Harshitha but there were no signs of Raj. He asked Ravi "Where is Raj?"

Ravi said "He said he needed some herbs, so he went out. How are you feeling right now?"

Harshitha too looked up to her father for his answer.

Prasad said with a smile "Ravi you've a good son, I'm not feeling any kind of pain."

Ravi nodded his head. Harshitha was clearly surprised and happy for her father.

They began talking about things and time seems to fly.

Raj was greeted with this scene when he came back. He went straight to Prasad and said "I've already reduced the pain and cured the core of your injuries, but you still medication. I couldn't find the herbs I was looking for so I guess you need to wait for some more time." After saying he went straight to his room.

Going back to his room, Raj thought about all that happened today and actually it was too much for him to take that all in.

He wondered how his life would change with a wife that dislikes him and the feelings were mutual with Raj too, also a fan boy father in law. His father in law also knew his identity 'will this make my life hard?' Thinking about it Raj sighed and decided that even though he didn't love her and even dislikes her, she'll still be his wife. So at least he should be ready to take responsibilities that a husband should have.

Thinking about the responsibilities Raj felt like a burden on his shoulders. Finally he decided that 'even though I dislike her, she's going to be my wife. Even if I'm unable to take all responsibilities that a husband must, I can't ignore her as my wife. I can't take away another person's happiness, after all she agreed to marry me for her father's sake and she would be married to me for a life time. So I can at least treat her like a wife and make sure I don't disappoint her as her husband.'

Raj felt that Harshitha was filial and had a good heart, so he knew he would disappoint both his father and Harshitha if he really f**ked up his marriage and as a husband. According to Raj's family's tradition marriage should be done only once in his life, because it is an important phase of life which truly decides the happiness of the people concerned and their family. It is something that's been passed down from their ancestors in Raj's family.
