9 I AGREE

Raj knew his father looked highly upon Harshitha, so he had to come to a decision which doesn't hurt his father. Finally Raj compromised himself saying 'if it's not for my sake, at least for father's sake I'll try to be a good husband to her.'

With the decision made Raj went out of his room and he went towards the three. As he got close to them, he sat down and started inspecting both of them carefully.

The daughter and father felt as if their own thoughts were being read by Raj, when he glanced at them.

Looking at the two for a moment, Raj turned towards his father and said "Old man, you really gave me one heck of a surprise today! Fine, just like you wanted I'll marry her."

He turned towards Prasad and said "Uncle if you and your daughter agree to this, we can make this marriage happen. So what do you say?"

Prasad was very happy hearing what Raj said, he nodded his head and said with a smile "I've no problems. And I also think that you're a good match for Harshitha."

Harshitha didn't say a word and just bowed her head. She knew she couldn't escape this marriage proposal, her father still needed medication and all she could do was endure it for now.

Seeing that Harshitha didn't accept or refuse, Raj couldn't help but say to Prasad "Seems as if your daughter is quite unwilling."

Just as these words were heard, both the old men faces changed. Harshitha glared at Raj and said "I agree!"

Raj smiled seeing that she was too easy to provoke, he nodded his head and said "Hmmm okay then we'll go get our certificate tomorrow at 10:00. Fine?"

Harshitha said "Okay."

Seeing that the youngsters were conversing with each other, the old folks were happy. Especially Ravi he knew his son had made up his mind to treat this marriage seriously. Even Prasad seems to have relaxed a bit as he could feel the difference from Raj, he wasn't ignoring Harshitha anymore and was gradually trying to accept her.

At this moment Ravi said "After you receive your certificate tomorrow, make sure you're both home. I've got a present for you two."

Raj shrugged and Harshitha nodded.

Raj got up from his seat and said good byes to Prasad and Harshitha. He went back to his room and laid down on his bed.

Thinking that from tomorrow he would be sharing his life with a wife seemed too troublesome for him, but still a part of him was excited thinking what type of changes this marriage and wife can bring to him and his life.

'Anyway thinking doesn't help, just need to go with the flow' thought Raj.

Just as he was about to go down to have his lunch, he heard a knock on his door. He said "Come in."

Prasad came in and said "Raj can I have a few minutes with you?"

Raj said "There's no need for you to be so formal uncle, you can say whatever you've on your mind."

"You see, from the time when Harshitha's mother died I've always pampered and spoiled her, that is why she doesn't know the harsh things in this world. I hope you'll be patient with her, i too know she's a bit arrogant but that arrogance is only directed towards the people she dislikes and hates. She cherishes the people she likes and love. So I hope you could take good care of her and also love her." Said Prasad.

"Well I don't know if I'll fall in love with her or not, but I sure promise you that I'll take good care of her and will give her, her own personal space that she requires." Said Raj.

Prasad nodded in understanding and said "Then I'll leave my daughter in your hands. Oh we're returning back now, I hope you can come visit me after your marriage."

He left after saying that.

Raj shook his head and went down to have his lunch. He saw no signs of Prasad, Harshitha and Ravi. After lunch, he called Mathew and went out to see the city.

He had his dinner in a restaurant and came back home at 21:04. He went directly to his room and slept.
