5 BIRTHDAY'S MYSTERY

Raj was annoyed, "old man, you know better than anyone else about what happened right? It's not that I don't want to be with you, I can't."

"Are you still blaming yourself? It's already been 6 years, I hope you can get through it." Said Raj's father.

"Sigh... So what did you call me for?" Raj tried to change the topic.

"You'll know tomorrow." Said his father without telling him anything new.

"Hope it's not something about marriage or to join the military" said Raj eying his dad.

Ravi coughed awkwardly and seriously said "No matter what, you are supposed to agree to it."

Raj narrowed his eyes after hearing it. Both of these are what the old man kept on going about from the past years, but to Raj he wasn't ready to take responsibility for marriage and he was too lazy to join the military.

They started talking about company issues and had their dinner and went to bed.

Next day, the day of Raj's birthday.

Raj got up as per usual at 05:00, did his meditation. After freshening up, he found new clothes his father had prepared. As soon as he saw the suit he face palmed thinking about today's mystery.

Nonetheless he still wore it, even though he is lazy to wear it he couldn't disappoint his dad's enthusiasm and he definitely couldn't refuse his dad's wish.

After dressing up, he arrived at the dining table, there were two more guests with his father. One was a middle aged man and other was a young lady around the age of mid twenties. Seeing them Raj unconsciously retreated a few steps and turned back to his room.

Ravi had been eying Raj the moment he entered the dining room, seeing he was about retreat to his room, he said unhappily "Where do you think you're going? Come back here!"

Hearing his dad calling him, Raj grudgingly looked at his father, walked forward and sat beside him.

Raj took his time inspecting the 'guests', the man had a handsome face and was quite good looking but Raj could see that there were problems in his body and if those weren't treated he would last for another 2 years or so. And on top of that, his injuries were quite severe. Raj thought 'seems as if the old man has come to treat his injuries'. At the thought of that Raj vigilance against them was reduced a little.

He then turned towards the young lady, one word to describe her would be beautiful, her facial features, her black hair, her body, she was as if she wasn't born rather she was made. Because everything about her was perfect. Raj even doubted himself if she was really a human or an AI that was made. But anyone could see the pride and arrogance on her face.

As Raj was inspecting the two, the two too inspected Raj. The old man was somewhat hesitant and the young lady showed complete disdain towards him.

Ravi thought it would be best for him to introduce them to each other, but before he could say anything he could hear Raj's voice.

"So old man you called me all the way here, just so I could treat him? I told you already I don't want to treat or rather not be in contact with other people, haven't I?" said Raj angrily towards his father.

Both the man and the young lady were surprised to hear the young man say.

But who would have thought that Raj completely read the situation wrong. His father who was supposed to introduce them froze and angrily looked towards Raj and said "you lazy son, what are you talking about? I didn't call them here for you to treat him! I've already talked with Prasad, that I'll be giving him one of the life saving pills you gave me. In return I asked that you and his daughter be married."

Raj opened his mouth wide open "ah dad tell me, what you said is not true. You! How can you ask for something like that in return? Where are you morals? And why the hell are you giving away the pill I gave you?"

Ravi answered annoyingly "What else am I supposed to do? I've been telling you to marry for these few years and what did I get? Nothing! I'm old, i see my friends having their own grand children and I envy them. I too want to hold my grand children. And what about the pill? So what if I give it to him? I'm just giving it to my future law right? They're soon to be family! So why wouldn't I give it?"
