89 Chapter 89 - Sweet

"Adrian, please don't fight like this again. It hurts me to see your wounds. Please. I know it's inevitable in your stream of work but try and minimize it with time. Now you have girlfriend called Debbie, you need to take care about of her." Jennifer said and kissed his neck.

"I promise. I won't do it again. Okay? And Debbie is not my girlfriend. I just don't care enough to deal with her." Adrian said as he kissed her hair. Next morning, Adrian opened his eyes and saw Jennifer sleeping while hugging him and realized that he was shirtless. Even his arms were wrapped around her. He put her front hairs behind her ear and admired her, "What did you do to me?" he said while looking at her.

"What am I doing to you Adrian?" she spoke as she opened her eyes. "You were asleep. Right?" he asked being shocked. "I love you Adrian." Jennifer spoke and kissed his forehead. "I love you too." Adrian confessed and smashed his lips onto hers. The soft kiss turned a bit spicy… that's when a James entered the room. The notebook he was holding fell on the ground but he had a happy face. "Omg! I'm so sorry. Finish off your business. I swear, I didn't see anything." He covered his eyes with his hands and pretended to walk out of the door.

Jennifer and Adrian very well knew that he wouldn't step out of the room. So when he halted near the door and looked back at them to take a small peek at them, they both raised tiled their head simultaneously bursting into laughter instantly. James joined them as he laughed off his embarrassment. "Why are you here?" Jennifer asked as she got out of bed and James was shocked to see her fully clothed. "Why are you wearing your clothes?" he asked out of nowhere. Jennifer made a confused face. "Am I not supposed to wear any clothes?" She looked at herself from right and left trying to figure out if something was wrong with her clothes. Then she heard Adrian laugh, a very awkward laugh for some reason.

"You think too much." He said as then Jennifer understood what James meant. Instantly, red color flowed into her cheeks and she turned around sheepishly. How could she look at Adrian when something so close to this happened last night? "Go out. Let me freshen up. I'll meet you in five minutes." Adrian said. He too stepped out of the bed. "With her inside your room?" James smirked. "No. I'm leaving." Jennifer said. She was too embarrassed to say anything more than that. She was about to leave when Adrian caught her arm. "Stay. I need to talk to you." He said and instantly James moved outside the room, for real this time. He chuckled a really mischievous laugh and he shook his head on his way out.

Adrian then, looked at Jennifer and hugged her. "Good morning, beautiful." He said. Jennifer smiled and wished him good morning. "I can't believe you are the same Adrian I met yesterday." She said. "Why? Don't you like this Adrian?" he said while pointing at himself. "I love every version of you." She replied. "even the rude one?" he asked. "I love you my angry bird.." she snuggled into his naked chest. Adrian liked the feeling that came with the hug. The feeling of being loved. Being cared for.

"Hmm… now tell me why did you fight? I couldn't sleep properly the whole night. I was too afraid to hurt you by mistake." Jennifer asked Adrian while drawing imaginary objects on his chest with her fingers. "I didn't fight." Adrian replied while looking down. "Then? I mean, he hit you. Why didn't you reply back with a punch?" she asked him. "Because of you…" Adrian replied.

*Flashback*

"Yahh.. now you will get the taste of your own medicine." That guy said. Adrian balled his fists ready to kill him. As he took steps towards that guy, he remembered Jennifer's face.

"Please don't fight."

"I don't want you to be like them."

He remembered those words and immediately surrendered. Adrian sat down on his knees, raising his hands in the air. "Do whatever you want to… I won't hit you." He said and smiled at him even though he was burning with anger. That guy got even more angry at the lack on interest shown by Adrian in the fight. Leaving no chance, he came towards her and kicked him…punched him.. and hurt him till he got satisfied. He abused him and threw him here and there. Mercilessly.

After he finished telling her about yesterday, Jennifer began crying. "Because of me.. you got hurt.." she said while crying. "Are you crazy? You should've broken his each and every bone. Give me his number. I'm going to beat him till his own parents can't recognize him." Jennifer's sadness got converted into anger.

Oh god! She is so sensitive. I want to cherish her for my whole life. Adrian immediately hugged her and muffled another hiss. "I'm fine. C'mon let's go! We're going to be late." He said.

"Oh! So you finally got ready?" James mocked them both playfully as they stepped out of the room "Jennifer, why are you dressed so weirdly?" James purposely added this question. He knew Jennifer was wearing one of Adrian's hoodie and it was too oversized for her but still…. Are you actually someone's best friend if you don't get to tease them?

Adrian widened his eyes and dragged James by his collar to the dinner table, playfully. Of course!

When all of them were settled to have breakfast, Jennifer noticed Adrian was staring at her. "What happened?" she asked him. "Umm, would you like to go to school with me?" He asked while scratching the back the back of his neck. "Yeah I would." Jennifer smiled to which Adrian responded by a smirk. "Don't. Don't do that smirk. You look too sexy." Jennifer finally got the courage to speak up. Instantly Adrian chocked on the food in his mouth while James burst into a laugh, banging his hands on the table.

"Do you know that before he confessed to you, he used to do the same thing." James spoke. Adrian tried putting his hand on James' mouth but failed. "Don't. Don't do that smile. You look too sexy." He mocked Adrian's tone. Adrian turned into a blushing mess. "You're such a simp." Jennifer spoke. "So are you." James dropped facts making Adrian and Jennifer both look at each other as they spoke together.
