66 Mid-Tier mage

Since then, it has been 4 weeks. Like planned, I followed my schedule, cultivating my elements during night time and practising the moves in day time at school. It was a productive plan, but there was one flaw in this.

'I cant practise my other element moves. Lightning, Chaos, Space and summon. I cant practise any of them. On top of that, I cant even use summon as the best thing I have gotten was a baby lion. Yeah, it could grow to be better, but I don't have time for that. I simply canceled the summoning between us. Never called him again. The reason why I can practise soul is because it is in my soul. So far, with my progress through these 4 weeks, I've gotten my soul element to 4 star paths. In other words, 28 star's. At the third star path, I awakened soul regeneration. It can recover 1 star path every day. Meaning, if I got my soul cultivation down by 1 star path, Ill be able to recover it the next day, returning to my original strength.

I will go by my fire cultivation to decide the level I'm at since it is the first element I had shown in front of everyone. 3 star paths. Thats what I achieved on it. Well technically, every single element of mine besides summon, space, chaos and fire origin has reached 3 star paths. Summon is at the the verge of 5 star paths with soul and fire origin at the verge of mid-tier. Alfred never mentioned it, but I could cultivate my fire origin at the same time i could cultivate my summon, soul and if I wanted to, my demon. However, space and Chaos are unique.

There are 9 levels for them. They are both on level 2, which is about the edge of novice tier. Though I can still use mid-tier magic. So far, I can lift 10 Ton objects with telekinesis and can use it to fly. In addition, I can teleport anywhere around me for 10 meters. With that, Ive also gotten some abilities that are standard for Space system mages.

I can also affect gravity in a set amount of area. These 'stages' are what is called 'spiritual attainment'. Through meditation, one can strengthen their spiritual energy and therefore become stronger in space element. There are simply 9 breakthroughs, and they act like walls. You would have to break them to break into the next stage. Ive broken 4 of these walls, 2 for space and 2 for chaos. As for Chaos, I can reflect attacks and reverse gravity, making it like 0 gravity. Now at mid tier, Ive gotten a weakened version of a 'Chaos whirlpool'.

Basically, it absorbs attack and sends it back with 20% increase in strength. A nice fact is that the Chaos element also has time properties at the forbidden level. Anyways, back to the topic, I've made my own spell to compact a different element. By using space and chaos together, I form a barrier around the magic which squeezes it together and forms a more compact move. I can then throw it back or simply absorb it.' I thought while recovering my spent magic energy.

I breath out a blast of fresh air while thinking back to what the teacher said that day.

[Tomorrow will be the elemental test. People that get D or below on the element quality and quantity will be expelled. If you want, you can take an optional test to test the release of you element. The highest rank that you can get is A. If you do well, you could end up in the elite class. Now, dismissed.] said the teacher while waving his hand. He was clearly still sad about the way I acted in front of him.

[Well, whatever. I only need to connect one more star dust and I break through to the 5th star path of fire Origin. Same with soul and summon. I got 6 hours left. Ill leave my other elements for later. I want to make sure I have these 3 elements at the 5th star path. Well, lets get to cultivating.] I mumbled while lying down in my bed. I had improved the standard technique of cultivation, and now, I can cultivate in any pose as long as my eyes are closed. In fact, the more comfortable I am, the faster I cultivate. I am left in a dark part of my soul where suddenly a red universe kind of thing appeared. There, little specs of light appeared one by one. These were the star dust. With every appearance, another would pop up. Gradually, the process started to slow down until it needed a 10 second interval to connect another star dust.

[Phew*, that's 6 star paths. Just a little more..] I said while continuing on. Eventually, I start to talk to myself again at the 6th star dust completion.

[Since I cant breakthrough into mid-tier by myself, ill have to improvise and simply upgrade to the 4th level. The special thing about lightning and fire is that there is a 4th and 5th level, whereas the other elements besides Chaos and Space usually go up to the 3rd level before going to mid-tier. Plus, advancing to the 4th and 5th level provides a better power in mid-tier. But, that's where my trump card comes in. Ive only been using the passive ability of my cultivation loach which is eating other cultivation tools and a 10x speed in cultivation.

The active part boosts my cultivation by another 10x, making it 100x, and also helps me break through the barrier of a breakthrough wall. The exchange is that it uses soul energy to power. So i could cultivate longer with the 10x, but it wouldn't nearly be close to the speed of 100x. If we add up the gains and downs, I get about double more cultivation energy at 100x than 10x, so double the gains. Ive only ever used the 100x once since I feared it would use too much soul energy. Now that I have soul recovery, I can use the active part of 100x cultivation speed and the easier breakthrough at the same time.] I said out loud while pouring some of my energy into the loach.

Once the energy had filled the loaches physical form, it glowed with a white-blue light and started to advance to the now appeared last light. As soon as it entered, a connection was established with all the other star dust. Once that was done, a red circle with weird inscriptions appeared around my body outside.

[Mid-tier fire mage. Thats good to say the least. Although before I said I was advancing from level 3 to mid-tier, I'm actually level 1. Other than joining the star dust, a mage can also refine their quality and quantity of their magic element. What I did was simply connect the star dust, not actually refine it. However, to refine it, I simply need a few minutes to get it to level 3 thanks to my mid-tier star paths connecting. It lets me draw in more energy of the novice tier in mid-tier compared to drawing in energy when I'm at novice tier. Though I don't kind of get it. My cultivation is different from other people in this world.

Usually, a mage would need to get to level 3 and then proceed to mid-tier. That doesn't apply to me. I can advance to mid-tier and then get to level 3. Heck, I could try and get to level 5. Hey, it's not like I'm complaining. Now, lets move onto soul magic.] I said while continuing my process of breaking through to the mid-tier of the soul element. By the time I was done, I had spent the whole 6 hours of cultivation. It's not a big deal.

'If anyone heard that I broke through mid-tier twice in 6 hours and hear me call it 'not a big deal', I'd be glared to death.' I thought while getting up.

'Like explained before by the teacher, there was going to be a magic assessment of sorts today. He said that the max level a person can get is A, which is wrong. It's S. Why do I know? Go watch the anime. Mu Bai got an S in magic quality and quantity and a B in demonstrating his magic. Mo Fan also got S in magic quality and quantity, but got A in demonstrating his magic. Theoretically, it is possible to get S in both magic quality and quantity and S in demonstrating my magic. Normally, it would be good to rank first, but this time there is a problem. First, second and third place get a down graded version of my loach, only multiplying the cultivation speed by about 2x or so, which is nothing compared to my whopping 100x cultivation speed.

The problem is that my loach is a growth type of magic equipment, so it will eat other magic equipment like the cultivation multiplier to boost itself. So, that's where some of my money comes in. I'm not gonna participate in the destruction of this Bo city. I will get an excuse to go to a different region when I'm actually gonna go to some forest and cultivate there. I have the money, and I can fly with my wind manipulation, so all I'm missing is an excuse. To be frankly honest, I don't want to participate in this cities retaliation against the magical beasts. Other than getting more energy for my loach, there is nothing I gain. So its better to skip this and do something more productive.

Right now, I'm sure I can convince Mo Jiaxing to let me go, but the problem starts with the principal. If worst comes to worst, ill use my Yin side of Yin-Yang manipulation to re-write his memories.' I thought, breaking the 4th wall in the process.

'Oh yeah, since I now have chaos magic, that 'project' should work, am I right, Alfred?' I questioned Alfred in my mind

[If all the theories go right, then that 'project' should come to fruition.] responded Alfred

'Good, Good.. lets test it..' I thought as a magic circle surrounds me. After about 10 seconds or so of it glowing, it disappears. And what's left is my excited face.

'It worked!! Hahaha!!! By mixing my knowledge of formations along with Chaos magic, I have successfully developed a magic that makes me not need to poo or pee, and instead turns it into pure energy, stored in my loach for later cultivation!! It doesn't even need to be waste produced from the lower body, it can even be sweat!!' I thought to myself excited.

'And the best part is that I don't even need to supply energy to it!! I simply make the formation, and from then on, it takes a really small amount of energy from the surroundings!! I'm a fu**ing genius!!' I thought to myself

'The only down side is that I need to be awake for it to work. But its not like I will be sleeping for a good amount of time! And even if I do, when I wake up, it will immediately go away! Perfection in its perfect form!]' I thought once again

[If you cultivate to the peak super-tier level, you wont produce any body waste. Sweat, poop or pee.] said Alfred casually.

[Well what tier am I in now? I just broke through to mid tier.] I said outloud

[Mid-tier level 3. You thought that you could cultivate the levels after reaching mid-tier, but your wrong. At novice tier, your loach already grants you the first 3 levels, level 5 for fire, explosion and lightning and what you did was simply level up to mid-tier. You could say that right now, you can dish out the 3rd most powerful fire attack of the mid tier level and if you pushed yourself, you could bring out a weak high-tier spell. The levels are easy to cultivate, but what is difficult to cultivate is connecting the star dust, star paths, star clouds and whatever is later on.] said Alfred
