56 Time

"Didn't think I'd be seeing ya awake till moon harvest season (a season sort of like autumn for Deblis's dimension/world)." Sitting up slowly Sion gripped his head is slight pain. But that wasn't the only thing that caught Sion's attention, it was more so the amount of weight he had lost. Even though he still had a few muscles he could clearly see the pure energy he did absorb had left side effects.

"How long?" Sion questioned him as Deblis sighed as he scratched the back of his furry neck with his meaty paw.

"About 7 weeks in my world. Yet in your world I'd estimate about 4 months, time works differently in each world- crossing through a dimension portal also takes about a week" Hearing this Sion clenched his teeth together in frustration. Four months he'd been out and resting with no food or water, it was a miracle that he lived considering how much he really needed to eat to take on a day. "To be fair though that is still quite fast recovery after being tortured by a God who's lived countless decades"

Sion looked down to see even his hair had out grown and was down to his back, he even had scruff on his face.

"I look homeless" Sion stated as Deblis laughed in amazement that this guy could still crack a joke.

"Well I'll say it's an improvement considering I'm covered in fur" Sion smiled at this add on as he pulled of the blanket to the futon he had been laying in.

It was odd to Deblis seeing Sion get up so soon but also the fact that Sion somehow felt much stronger than when he first introduced himself and took him away from the God of Mystery that day. Scratching his face he tried to get a read on Sion only to turn up empty on an estimated power calculation especially considering his player interface status clearly didn't show his true power.

'What a frightening advantage, he could essentially fool individuals that he was a low level player but considering I'm in the top 200 in the dimension leaderboard ranks. The fact even he made me take my gun arms out…' it was a dangerous thought as Debils watched Sion stand upon slightly shaking legs.

"This makes me feel nostalgic." Sion commented in a slight displeasure undertone.

"How so?"

"I feel like how I did when I was in hospital for a few months after my accident, I was essentially hit by a truck and on my death bed back then. It was a miracle I was still even alive after a full on collision especially considering I was-" almost as if pulling himself back Sion had almost let something slip out about him that he shouldn't have. It was essentially giving a potential enemy his weakness or even information that a person could search into. Breathing out slowly he now realised he hadn't been on guard, within the moments he'd been awake he wasn't at all suspicious of Deblis. Even though at any given moment his head could of been rolling.

"Why did you bring me here?" That should of been the first thing he'd asked but instead he had the balls to crack a joke as well as leisurely get up in his own pace.

Deblis seeing the air change quick, slowly grew cautious as one of his paws grew a tad closer to his gun arms on his thigh as the ones on his hip and back would of been too obvious.

"I brought you back because I'm technically responsible for you since I did your orientation to the user interface. As a veteran player I'm supposed to teach you the rules of the dimensions and dungeons, as well as watch your progress till I deem you fit to be on your way. As you know from your earlier situation I was supposed to have at least 20 including you maybe even more. But this is a special case and requirements are still the same, if you have an issue that is fine you are free to leave. However any dimensional portal, dungeons, even getting back to your world will be impossible without a veteran representative by your side that is clearly responsible for you."

Sion hearing this was slightly less tense but still appalled by his disregard that this could have been the end for him.

"Worry not, I honestly don't think I could win against you in a fair fight, your much stronger than anyone in your world. I'm pretty sure that's why the God of Mystery had taken it upon himself to investigate you, you don't fit into the time frame." Added on Deblis as he removed his paw from his fire arm.

"What do you mean by that?"

" I'm saying it exactly how it sounds, truthfully you should not exist but you do? It's almost a question in itself on why do you exist?" Listening to think Sion knew now that what he thought back then.

'I should be dead/I should of died' Now had some truth to it and maybe a deeper meaning? But what that deeper meaning was was anyones guess.

"You mentioned earlier 'to get back to my world?' Where you implying I'm not in my dimension?" That had been somewhat confusing to hear he needed permission to go back to his dimension. But Deblis also explained timelines are different, would that mean that given the fact 7 weeks here is equal to 4 months in his own dimension could be different to other dimensions too? Meaning that an individual couldn't stay in another dimension/world that wasn't their own unless they had no family or attachments in other world/dimension considering that fact?

"You are correct right now you are in my world and as I explained to you before it's quite cultured and more country and western considering your world is more technological based. We prefer to farm and work rather than robots and pollute our world."

Feeling the sense Deblis was quite 'passionate' on the topic of environmental health Sion change the topic of interest.

"Deblis, with the time reference, is the reason someone needs a person to represent them as a new player is for essentially a double passport to confirm identity?" Sion spoke professionally almost as Deblis pulled out his long awaited bamboo stick and started to munch.

"You could say that however - you could also say no, as I've said new players need to learn the ropes and yes it can be used to confirm who you are but the user interface does that for you regardless as well as tell the guardians at every dimensional portal what world you belong too. Another reason you might need me is for situations just like yours were you've been transported without knowledge. So I would keep a tracker for when I brought you here- for example-" as if to make his point Deblis pulled out a watch and showed Sion. "This is the watch that I set before I took you, as you can see the day in your world is Thursday the 23rd of August"

'August?' Sion now understood, he was certain the day of when he was taken by God of Mystery was May the 17th a Monday.

"You caught on-" munching away Sion thought about his words, 'what if someone left their dimension but wasn't aware of the fact that time would be different…?' A seen of a man leaving his wife and children was almost envisioned as he left home for only a week only to return to their graveyards and one son as old as time still barely living with the next generation but the man had never aged.

"I'm guessing some can't leave their dimensions without attachments" Deblis stopped munching as his rounded face and small black eyes seemed almost to break under an intense sudden atmosphere. Realising Sion felt slightly sorry, in his mind though Sion was devastated for him.

"You don't need to say anything, I know you barely reacted emotionally based on how you talk but I know you know why the atmosphere has changed." Getting up Deblis left Sion standing up in the room by himself.

It wasn't Sion's fault ever since he acquired power his emotions seemed to slightly fade over time so nothing much fazed him anymore. He knew he was no longer the human from the start of his journey but a part of him sort of wished he still retained a bit more emotion to at least show sympathy for others.
