2 The Light Purge

The year 2010,

7-03-10, exactly 4:37pm,

Green sky erupted across vase skyscrapers and homes.

The light purge is what they called it, as a crack in space and time seemed to tear the sky apart. Vast ball of green light shot forth from the crack itself, landing in the earth's surface, infusing a pheromone like no other.

Men, Woman and children alike began to rearrange, their bodies engulfed by the light had them shift and morph into animals of different kinds. Fear, terror, confusion and wonder had people scream and run around as their hands became claws, hooves and paws. Thousands global sprouted fur, scales, feathers and much much more, sheer panic and devastation as those who did not change killed their loved ones.

Those who didn't evolve started revolutions and brought more destruction and downfall as those who had ran into hiding. But that was the beginning, those who remained were under a certain age or circumstance were they didn't change right away. Those they called 'monsters' emerged back out of the shadows as humans but with tails and horns. Those who had once been their prosecutors under went the transformation thinking God had condemned them too.

Yet this was the change in era as new foundations were executed, the one's who had managed to bring their beasts in created 5 main Nations. Any existing governments fell to ruin as new ones were form and slight peace was settled onto the world. With the new structure of civilisation, three rules stood above all.

First, to remain in your nation unless told otherwise by authorities.

Second, you must maintain human appearance as best as possible, slight psychical change such as horns, gills, feathers, teeth/fangs, tails or hard to change hand or feet appearance was excepted with medical claim.

Finally, Killing another civilian was a violation to everything. If you had blood on your hands, death was a clear path unless justified by the law. This being, self defence or animal instinct gone out of control with clear proof.

Soon these rules became way of life and people welcomed the change. Families would expect and be proud if their sons and daughters awoken what they called a 'second gender'. In fact it became a must that one would awaken to their nature calling, not awakening meant a hard and unstable life.

Scientists explained that the light purge had had extreme levels of DNA alterations that once combined with the missing requirements (a living organism). One would undergo the shift and awaken their 'second gender', but that wasn't all. Fantasy became reality as more evolved humans were born naturally then affected with circumstances or certain points of times. Dragons, Serpents, Unicorns, Werewolves, Fairy's and much more graced the world, bringing around people who admired them as Gods themselves. Scientists becoming fascinated by the drastic change they used old or created charts that explained the 'Second gender' concept. One being the Chinese Zodiac signs, the years and dates to be exact to determine someone's future animal counterpart. Category one chart ranged from the animals Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, accordingly. The category two charts consisted of, Bird, Fish, Eel, Elk, Goat, Ram, Lion, Cheetah, Otter, Cat, Fox and other known animals.

The category three charts, Ancient Dragon, Unicorn, Werewolves, Fairies (Fae), for now as more were being discovered. Yet that wasn't all, attributes as well would form into a matter core within a person's counterpart sharing it's power. These powers ranged from levels,

Unique attributes, Wood, Metal, Gold, Copper.

Normal being, Fire, Earth, Water and Air. (The normal elementals)

Intermediate, Life, Death, Aura enhancement.

High class, Spirits, Soul enhancement, Nature refinement.

And then the unique high class skills that not many have are simply unknown unless you have one.

These new abilities made construction and evolution in day to day life so much higher, profit and money was never an issue. Even the poorest of people had a nice home and advanced technology at their disposal, the world thrived off of the new materials one could harvest after the light purge.

The materials ranged from, Soul stones, Emeralds, Diamonds, Gold, Herbs (life potions, elixir can be made), Core, Copper, White stone, Silver lining, to name a few.

However all good things have something that brings a challenge, although the light purge ended years ago. The crack never left the sky, floating boarders cut it off from the rest of the world until,

2015,

4-05-15, time roughly 7:56pm,

They emerged, true monsters, hideous, deformed monstrosity's ate and killed everyone in their path. Leaving destruction in their wake. They fell from the sky just like the light did bringing back the fear and chaos people had once forgotten.

But that made them rise to the occasion as a handful of evolved humans stood in arms to fight off these invaders. Six demi-humans stood out amongst all, they were praised and worshipped for their bravery, 'The Galleons' they were called. Hero's they claimed to be, they charged into the split in the sky with no regrets. Everyone held their breath that day, they looked to the sky wondering if their hero's would ever return? And then one person pointed up, it was them! They had succeeded and the split seemed to pull the sky back together again.

This was a rise of hunters and guilds within a world where having your 'Second gender' meant everything.
