48 Drug

A man sat in terror as his teammates were eaten and ripped apart in front of him. The gear they were equipped with had no effect on this guy, a lion as his second gender and berserk wasn't a desirable outcome in any scenario.

'This is it… I'm going to die.' Was all the man thought as the crazed beast on it's hind legs barely even shifted jaws had saliva and bits of flesh and blood trailing out. His colleagues he'd worked with since rookie days-

"S-some body… please… SAVE ME!" He yelled as the beast came in and ripped him apart like paper, the man's head rolled to the side with the same terror he'd just felt as the pupils reflected the red glowing eyes of the beast eating the remains of his corpse.

"Project JK3X, a drug to enhance physical ability for a certain amount of time was a revolutionary idea. However the drug was not yet complete and was leaked to the public as an illegal drug called Moonstone. Just as the name implies, Moonstone is a potent drug that causes whoever to swallow it to be Stoned in a coma like state that has their eyes glow red until the effects wear off- if they do that is. They say once our second Genders get a taste of flesh, the effects could be permanent. Hence why we have teams lead by special forces X-S-T-F out in every nation to eradicate them if need be."

The woman presenting the top secret information to the high ups stopped, the motion caused her breasts to bounce considering she was wearing a suit so tight with nothing but a white lab coat over the top. Her hair red and reach her arse had some men merely interested in courting her. However she would have none of that as she turned and sneered at them releasing a jaw dropping growl that had them cough and look away.

"Miss Dr Gardiner, do you have the specifics of this task force and the reason why this drug was really created in the first place?" Flipping her hair, her eyes pierced through everyone.

"The fractures are increasing, the red Zones in Nation 3 and 1 are over populated like a battle ground. The conducted research behind the drug was to prolong an S or A ranked hunter if deployed in such a horrific situation without needing assistance for a prolonged time.

Citizens are scared now already, there's no denying the outbreak is getting worse- but also"

Flipping through the slides with her wristband on her arm she stopped on a blurred figured picture that the hunter group Prime had managed to take.

"I developed drones the could withstand the green light surges within a fracture to catch the world's hero's, our hunters in action. Their last hunt was in a confirmed S fracture which of course they were successful, yet that's not why I'm showing you this." Zooming in on the picture and changing resolution to a point, a person was made out on the screen. A range of gasps and disbelief in the room has Dr Gardiner's facial expression turn more serious.

"By first glance it looks like a blur of a monster moving but on further inspection as you can see, it looks like there was a citizen already in this fracture."

"Impossible! Our security within an fracture zone goes at least 20miles from the site! Not to mention the barricades!-" cutting off the CEO of fracture security she raised her hand for silence from him.

"I'm not doubting your team's ability to keep security tight at all times and the public safe. But instead listen to my words as I say, this person would have had to already been in there before it had even opened."

Silence from the room had people staring at the screen before everyone all at once started to throw questions.

"You saying there's now aliens or intelligent life in these Fractures now!"

"Impossible! Even with this photo this isn't enough evidence to support that!"

"Lier! There's no way one can survive the fractures surges of green pure light without the battle gear our hunters have during their time inside!"

"Silence!" Finally boomed a voice in the back and everyone went silent at the harsh poisonous whip that seemed to have everyone suddenly tight lipped. "Miss Dr Gardiner, as much as I appreciate your work and efforts for the greater use and future of this nation. I'll have to agree and say that a mere picture is not enough to sustain a real investigation-"

"Who said I only had the picture?" The man known as the chief executive of international affairs and science stopped midway sentence and the whispers died down.

"Are you implying you have video proof?" The chief executive spoke.

"That exactly what I'm implying" she responded as she tapped her wristband once again to a fight scene,

"Argh, disgusting, what are those!" The hunter Linanna spoke as purple sludge covered her thickly. Looking closer the drone captured an altar and so did Linanna.

"Guys, there's an altar these freaks are protecting, I think this is where we shut down the fracture"

Just her team mates coming towards her covered in purple sludge also the blurr that looked like a monster went past Linanna like an invisible ghost.

Turning around fast her brown slightly dyed green hair flipped fast as she almost caused herself whiplash. Nothing.

"Linanna, what is it?" The drone above Linanna zoomed in onto her face which held confusion for a split second.

"Nothing, must have been the wind" Linanna spoke as her hooved hind legs suddenly reformed into her own legs and she gripped a sword in hand that was called a laser cutter and had a sort of plasma that helped double damage with her ability of the water element and her unique technique 'bleed'. "Let's just finish this and close the fracture". =

"Did you see it?" Dr Gardiner spoke as she re-winded the video and used high resolution to fix some gaps showing a head, legs and arms definitely of a human body bolting past the hunter Linanna. "She has confirmed herself that she felt something in that split second"

The chief executive officer and those of the room were shocked as a woman asked, "what exactly did she feel?"

A smirk one of neither evil or good made it's way on Miss Dr Gardiner's face as she held the room's full attention. Her lips moving to form one word and one word only.

"Death" she replied.

With the video paused on the screen. The unspoken was already confirmed. 'There's enough evidence that what she was saying is proof that there might be beings more, no, there is more to fractures and maybe potential beings stronger than any of us can comprehend.'

Leaning back her tapped his finger on the table in front of him. 'Should I hold a nation statement?' It was an affair that needed to be tapped on yet for now it would have to wait till the contest showdown which was tomorrow was finished.

Standing up the chief used his voice once more to have silence in the room.

"With this information I'll set a time and date for a Nation statement, however until that date our main focus is Project JK3X (Moonstone). We must initiate forces delicately within society and start up new recruits as soon as possible. The information talked about here except Project JK3X and X-S-T-F recruitment will be scrapped off records till further notice. That is all"

With that people stood up and left in an orderly fashion as the chief executive sighed while threading his hand throw his black hair. Dr Gardiner simply took down her presentation from the screen back to her wristband, the only proof of her words that she'd keep close to her till she died.

"Miss Dr Gardiner, would you be interested in a new program run by Satus" her face held some surprise before she smiled softly.

"It would be an honour to work for my Nation" he'd keep her close, if any information about the increase of fractures or anything else leaked would have a riot on the streets within minutes.
