1 Memories of the past(Nao POV)

I still remember the day that I had first met her. I had been in a small antique shop that I had often frequented enough to become a regular customer. The owner who didn't have many regular customers had talked about a girl who had been my age who had started to come to this little antique shop.

At first, I had been confused and asked "why would someone my age come to this shop?", the owner had laughed and replied to me "don't you come to this shop a lot".

Once I realized that I was a girl my age who had come to this shop a lot I said " well that's because I'm trying to escape the hellhole called my home!"

My family was very rich and had a very prominent business, which I the only heir had to inherit. My parents had been nice and caring but they were often on business trips. So my grandparents who had been very strict in the tradition of our family had loaded me with education and etiquette for the future.

This resulted in me hating my home especially since I had a disfigured face and often got bullied for it. When I was three I had gotten into an incident that gave me a disfigured face.

"Well, you could have chosen any shop why this one?", the shop owner said to me with a grin.

"T-that's because... Oh yeah! It's because nobody comes here so it's quiet!" I said in a tone that sounded like I had won.

She laughed again then started to talk about the girl. "She had long black hair and sea blue eyes" according to the owner. Although I didn't seem to care much at the time.

The next day I walked into the small antique shop "man I'm tired walking out of my house sucks" when I raised my head I had seen the owner and someone else.

"Welcome, and if you say it that way people are going to think you are lazy," the shop owner said to me with a smile.

The little girl had black hair just like the owner had said previously.

"Well, it's not my fault that my house is as big as a neighborhood!" I shouted to the owner I then looked at the girl and asked "is she that girl you were talking about".

"Yep, what a smart girl you are," the owner said in a mocking tone.

"Uhmmm I have a question what is your name?" The black-haired girl asked.

The owner smiled at me and I looked back at her then turned to the girl " names are... I don't like being called my name so it's only fair that I don't call other names either" I said looking down.

The girl didn't ask anymore and smiled at me as if telling me that I didn't have to say anything more.

Over the next few days, the girl and I had talked together with the owner sometimes sitting on the third floor of the shop.

The floor was small and only contained a table and some chairs to sit down but the view from the window was amazing, so the girl and I would often sit there to talk and take in the view.

I never knew the girl's name and she never knew mine, although today that is the thing I regret the most from back then.

A few months after first meeting her I had to say goodbye for I was going to be moving abroad for a few years to fix my face. But I couldn't say bye since I was too chicken and left without saying a word.

7 years later:

The airplane noise had been loud which resulted in me getting no sleep. When I looked out the window I had seen my homeland.

"At last I'm back" I whispered to myself. I then turned to the side, next to me had been sitting my friend from abroad Mika Fought. She had short blue hair and green eyes and had been sleeping in a rather sloppy way.

I looked at her with a little disappointment then decided to wake her up. "Hey, Mika wakes up we're almost there," I said in a quiet voice. Which was miraculously enough to wake her up.

By the time we arrived at the house my nightmares of back then started to roll in. Mika looked at me and saw my face.

"Are you gonna be ok?" Mika replied as we walked past the gate. I nodded and started walking a little faster. By the time we reached the entrance, Mika had been tired out from the walk.

" How did you do this when you were little," Mika said panting "and how are you not tired right now?". I ignored her for I was too worried about going in and talking to my grandparents. It had been a while since I had last seen them.

I tried to gulp down all my worries and opened the door, inside the mansion had been two grand staircases and in the middle of them, there had been my grandparent standing there to greet me. Their faces had shone once they had seen my face which had been previously disfigured fixed. My thoughts were filled with disgust but I had to keep a straight face to achieve my goal.

"I'll get straight to the point, I want to go to high school Mallor and want to rent an apartment near there and live alone," I said with a serious face.
