Music Is His Heart

"Your music are so meaningful." Kody said, focusing on the road, "Your mom composed songs too, right?"

When he mentioned that, memories came flooding back, she was the main reason why I had fallen in love with music and thanks to music, our bond became stronger, also got us renowned as the greatest music duos.

Every single day, we would practice and sit on the front porch with our guitars, ukelele and violin, basically all the instruments that we owned.

We would sing along to different songs and then teaches me a couple of new songs until she showed me her lyric book containing all of her composed songs, that really hyped me up, my inner musician grew and grew.

I was so eager in composing my own songs, I wanted to follow my mother's footsteps and become a great musician like her.

I started composing and then showed it to her every after I've finished a song, she was really proud of me because I did great, from there on, we composed songs together.

Those memories will remain etched on my mind, even if I have hatred towards her, she will always be my mother and that will not change, even if the world goes upside down.

"We did." I corrected, "We composed a lot of songs."

"You both weren't named 'greatest duos' for nothing." He said, "Man, I wished I had your life."

I gave a snigger, "It isn't fun like how you think it is." I replied, "It used to be, but not anymore."

"Be thankful for what you have." I added as I drank water, "Not everyone is blessed with parents."

He patted me, "That's okay bro." He said, "I love you since the day we met."

"No homo though." He added as we laughed together inside the car.

"Brothers forever." I replied as we did our handshake.

"For sure, ain't gonna deny that." He said as he gave me a genuine smile, dimples coming out.

Find a friend who'll never leave you behind, who'll always be there to console, listen and love you and not judge your sentiments.

A friend who'll stay and keep in touch with you even on the most boring days, one who will try their very best to fix things together during an argument.

If you have that friend, keep them. They are too good to lose, they are treasures that God has offered to you.
