Eleven Years Ago, Still Here.

"Okay, I won't do it again," I assured, "do not be so emotional about it."

"You don't get it, do you?" He said, gesturing to me, "Be serious about these things."

"I am serious. Just don't get so emotional, in other words, Don't give in to your emotion."

"Sorry for acting out like that," he turned to me, apologizing. "I'm always like this."

"It's okay, I clearly understand what you're trying to say."

"I trust you," he replied, pointing at me, "Be sure to not repeat the same mistake."

"Sir, Yes Sir."

He smiled, starting the engine and drove off toward Quezon, our dormitory's location.

I'm still wondering about the girl I had seen earlier, I was expecting her to chase me and report a milk robbery to the staff.

Instead, she just ignored the fact that a milk she had been yearning for just got snatched by a total stranger.

People like that do exist? That is the reason why most people get robbed, they are not so assertive. Most robbers don't go alone, they have guns in hand, so there is a tiny chance that you'll live.

I'm not a robber, so I can't speak for them. I don't want to be one too.

Well technically I was, but I paid for it.

Don't call me out for being one.

Dark was almost upon us, we were stuck in traffic for half an hour, due to Kody being so lazy, and not helping me at the store.

"Now we're stuck in traffic." I said, resting my foot, "This is gonna take forever."

Cars were aggressively honking, and drivers were also shouting, approaching the traffic enforcers.

"People need to chill out," he stated, "or else we ain't moving at all."

"I know you're screaming internally."

"No, I'm not," he said, turning to me. "You're describing yourself."

I shookt my head, staring out the window. It was dark and gloomy, seems like the clouds were roaring, wanting to be heard.

It suddenly rained cats and dogs, everything else outside were blurred by the rain drops.

Thunder and lightning ruled over the sky, I backed away from the window, thinking I'd get strucked by it. Never been a fan of rainy seasons.

"Are you okay?" Kody asked, "You seemed so frightened."

"Ah yes, I'm fine. No worries."

"If you say so," he replied, "do you mind if I play some commercial?"

"No, of course not."

He opened the glove compartment, grabbing his phone from it, and connects it to the car stereo.

He rarely listens to music, because he has a weird addiction to radio commercials. Every business minded person are.

My father also listened to commercials, may it be on a radio or tv.

We listened along to the commercial he had played, it was about the first samsung phone to be designed and manufactured in Korea.

The SH-100 in 1998, I've never had that kind of phone, father probably owned one.

I was tapping my feet, waiting for the boring commercial to end. When it did, a familiar melody drifted from the speakers.

"You're kissing strangers and I'm here doing work for a living. Bullshit!"

It was a stormy night. I couldn't understand them, but I felt the tension, wrath and heard the intensity in his tone. Their tone.

I was seven, and my parents were having an arguement in the living room, father put me inside my room. I was alone and scared, all I had was my teddy bear, hugging it tightly.

I moved to the corner, curled up like a ball. I was wailing and drenched in sweat because the fear of someone lurking in the shadows had grew.

The wind was howling, and the rain was in rage, lashing against the window, it felt like our roof would fly off. I shut the blinds and approached my bed, sitting on it for a while.

Till I heard loud shatterings, I tiptoed to my door, opening it slightly. I saw some broken glass on the floor, scattered everywhere.

It crunched as they kept on pacing around it and they were at each other's throat. I sat in silence watching their arguement go down.

Then I suddenly ran toward my father, and everything, my vision glitched.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

I could slightly hear the screams and cries of my father, begging for help.

It felt like I was carried toward a car, then it drove and moved fast, no ideas where we're heading to, but it kept on moving, no brakes, no turns.

The music in the background drowned out all the sound, silence was all I could hear.

Tears trickled down my face as it did now, eleven years ago.
