Looking at the man sitting at the head of the Table Lei Xinyi felt a chill rush up to her spine.

She knew that Yun Qianqian and CEO Li had been close accomplice since their childhood, even she was a potential partner for him before his engagement to Lu Xinyi but he was humiliating her without batting an eye.

The man was beyond cruel she could see on his expressionless face that it didn't bother him at all.

Lei Xinyi felt cold sweat leaving her body thinking about her consequence if he will ever know of her secret.

"….67…68…69…" Assistant Ji voice echoed through the conference room.

Lei Xinyi looked at the woman trembling and weeping on her feet. She was hardly able to move after all the time she had kowtowed to her.

Lei Xinyi could feel the scorned gazes of people they were giving her, it was obvious they thought she would tell CEO Li to not punish her but there was no way she would. If she was in that position they wouldn't have too.

She felt bad for the girl kowtowing to her. She was on an uncomfortable angle; she knew it was hurting her but she did feel bad for her but not at all did she regret her actions.

Yun Qianqian deserved every second of it just as Jiang Qinqin deserve what was coming for her.

Lei Xinyi looked at them with a cold stare and smirked. Such people deserved whatever happens to them. It's purely Karma.

If you can think of inflicting pain on someone else you should be able to expect the same in return.

They are adult and mature enough to know their b*tching around was destroying someone life. So if the same is going to happen to them it is going to be well deserved.

Only give the kind of agony that you can take yourself….

If there was any other girl who wasn't as cunning and manipulative as Lei Xinyi, they would have thrown her under the bus long ago and who knows how many lives these princesses have destroyed already.

'It will serve them as a good lesson…' Lei Xinyi smirk widened thinking that.

All through Yun Qianqian fragile body kowtowing while shivering, Li Yuan sat there with a cynically expressionless face. Lei Xinyi had an urge to ask him if he was late for his meeting but held herself back.

"…98…99…100." Assistant Ji ended the counting as a hundred kowtows were done.

Yun Qianqian slumped there on Lei Xinyi feet catching her breath and wiping her tears. Then she tried to get up but halfway through her endeavour her legs gave out, wobbled and she fell again with a yelp.

Everyone looked at her with pity, some even gripped their chairs to stand up to help her but no one dared go against CEO Li.

Lei Xinyi looked at all the cowards, rolled her eyes and scoffed. She believed that her consequence was well deserved but being a woman she still believed woman deserved a gentleman behaviour.

Standing up from her seat Lei Xinyi brought her hand forward to help her stand up.

Seeing her extended hand Yun Qianqian glared at Lei Xinyi with a best-scorned face she could muster, by the remaining energy left in her body.

"Stubborn Ox…." Lei Xinyi muttered under her breath and took Yun Qianqian by her arm and made her sit on the chair Lei Xinyi was previously sitting.

Surprisingly Yun Qianqian didn't protest and sat on the chair still glaring at her.

Li Yuan watched all of that with an amused look on his face, then stood up and said, "Meeting adjourned." Everyone in the room stood up as well.

With that, he walked to the door before halting as if he remembered something and said over his shoulder, "Miss Jiang?"

Jiang Qinqin back steeled instantly and she rushed forward with an aggrieved look on her delicate face, "Ye..Yes Sir!"

Her whole heart lit up with a tantalizing hope, she knew the CEO has always been lenient with and he had always ignored what she did with his disposable wh*res.

Jiang Qinqin slightly looked at Lei Xinyi with a smug look in her eyes…

Without turning CEO Li said in his usual calm tone as if he was talking about the weather, "You are fired." and walked away.

Jiang Qinqin heart sunk all over again and she stumbled two steps back and held her head. She worked from scrapes to reach this position in life only to face this demise.

Everybody was leaving the conference room as the meeting was finally over, some snarling at her, giving her disgusted look and some giving her look of mock pity.

Even Yun Qianiqian was escorted by her assistant and only Lei Xinyi and Jiang Qinqin were left in the Conference room.

Lei Xinyi took deliberate steps forward in her direction and stood in front of Jiang Qinqin.

Looking up from her reddened eyes Jiang Qinqin asked in a shaky voice, "Why? Why did you do that to me?"

Shaking her head with an amused smile Lei Xinyi replied, "I didn't do a thing. You did it to yourself."

Jiang Qinqin was about to ask her how she did it but before she could Lei Xinyi took out a phone and handed it to her.

Looking at her phone everything fell back in pieces in her head.

She already knew what her plan was! She knew she wanted to drug her so she deliberately fooled her to think that she was indeed intoxicated.

She knew about the drugged coffee too and she used her phone to send that video to the whole office.

She was played! Utterly played!

That was like the last strand of her sanity she fell back on the floor and began crying.

Lei Xinyi saw her and shook her head and walked out of the Conference room.

The world was a cruel place, if she let Jiang Qinqin go this time she was bound to play an even lethal trick next time. And when it comes to it, she will always choose herself.

And this wasn't a safe place for her, taking a deep breath Lei Xinyi walked ahead with determination.

After all the uproar was settled, the whole office was buzzing with gossip the whole day, Li Yuan was sitting in his office checking the department's reports when his door was knocked.

Without lifting his head from the report he was reading he asked the person to come in.

Assistant Ji came inside and took hesitant steps forward, he knew without a doubt the CEO would be enraged by the news he had brought.

Stepping forward Assistant kept the single paper he was holding in his hand on the table but didn't speak anything.

As Assistant Ji wasn't speaking so Li Yuan lifted his head with a raised questioning brow.

He was all in all sweating profusely but he knew better than to hide anything from his Master, "CE..CEO Li, Mi…Miss Lu resigned."

The temperature of the office dropped instantly and Assistant Ji abruptly felt chills.

'That damn ungrateful woman had the nerve to resign!' Li Yuan gritted his teeth.

"Send her in my office." Li Yuan restrained his anger and said coldly.

There were hardly some people on Earth who made him lose his calm and this little minx seems to excel in it.

"Sir, Mi..Miss submitted this resignation letter in the HR an…and left the building." Assistant ji muttered.

Picking out the paperweight from the desk Li Yuan threw it in frustration, stood up and kicked his mahogany desk with a force and cursed.
