10 A Strong Lady

Inside a library, the figure of an eight-year-old boy was struggling on top of a chair to stretch up to a higher part of a brown cabinet.

He jumped down from the chair he had been standing on before he clasped his hands to her. It was better to be polite and stay low-key in front of others.

"Sure." said the woman with a smile. She walked past him and reached up for the book in the upper parts of the cabinet.

Lin Feng just remained standing there with his back drenched in sweat. However, he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

From her words, she probably just believed that he was just trying to peek at her. It wasn't good for his reputation, but it was better than her knowing that he was scanning her for info.

Nevertheless, Lin Feng wasn't one to just give up. This escape technique, once gotten good at, could save his life in times of crisis. It was definitely a requirement for him if he wanted to minimise his risks in the future.

Letting out a deep breath, Lin Feng began making use of the Cloud Step Escaping Technique.

He took a step forward as he felt spiritual energy instantly drain from his body.

The world seemed to blur around him for a brief moment before he found himself suddenly standing 3 metres away!

A sense of excitement welled up in Lin Feng, but before he could celebrate, a sense of vertigo hit him.

Feeling his lunch lurch up into his throat, Lin Feng retched out his meal as he dropped onto the floor.

It was only after a few more minutes did he finish with his puking. Taking deep breaths to calm himself, his face was grim as he rubbed his stomach.

"That felt like shit."

However, it was at this time that a silver lining popped up.
