2 Company Dinner
"Of course, Sir"
I said with gritted teeth and went to stand next to him so he could "look better".
"Today, you have a lunch with the President of HP group to discuss your new merger. You also have to finish looking over the proposals from the financial team to see what new methods should be used in deciding a matter of thins. You are free for the later evening." I said in a medium pace so he couldn't say I was speaking too slow or too fast. Because no matter how annoying he was I really needed this job. The pay was so high for something so easy. But today I was starting to see that it wasn't actually going to be as easy as I had hoped because it took a lot of effort to not strangle this man.
"HP group? They said they wanted to cancel our merger." He said in an annoyed tone.
I sighed and said "Since you wanted this merger to go through I made sure that they weren't able to cancel."
He faced me with a glint of amusement in his eyes and an evil smirk on his face and said "I think i'm going to keep you around."
Then he bent down so our faces were just inches apart and looked me straight in the eyes with that smirk still plastered on his face.
I didn't want to back away as to not offend him, but it was starting to seem like I was also going to be working with a pervert.
Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. And he stood up so our faces weren't near each other anymore and I sighed in relief.
Before letting whoever was at the door in he looked at me, patted me in my head and bent down so his face was on the side opposite from his hand. He touched his lips to my ear and said in a deep voice.
"I'm sure well have lots of fun up here, Haley." He made sure to enunciate my name. In a very seductive manner. Everyone said he was gay and not interested in that type of stuff at all. So why was he suddenly like this.
Then he slowly stood all the way up and walked towards the couch that was in his office. As I looked at his back it came into my mind that those were just rumors and I was going to have a harder time then I thought.
"Come in."
Another handsome man walked in he seemed closer to my age than the boss was maybe around 21 which would be only a year older than me. It's not that the boss was old he was around 4 years older than me which was still a bit. As that would make him 24.
"Hello!"
The handsome man said with a bright and clear voice while bowing towards both the CEO and me.
"I was wondering if I would be able to talk to your assistant for a moment?"
He said facing the CEO and smiling.
"Yes you may, but only outside the glass window. I don't like my assistants being too far away as you must know."
The coldness in his voice almost made me feel a chill.
Wait, Wait. He wants to watch me talk to the cute guy? Now I won't be able to flirt with him. Not that I was going to be able to anyway. I am very friendly I was just never great at flirting in my opinion.
I stepped outside with the man. And I could see him a lot better. He wasn't as handsome as the CEO but he was definitely beautiful.
He was also tall only around 6'0. His hair was styled more fashionably than the bosses. His suit also fit his perfect body well.
I guess handsome people are the only people that work here, I said while day dreaming.
The man must have realized I was staring cause he said "Like what you see cause I could show you more later if you want." and he leaned in close and winked.
"Huh, what? Uh I wasn't- um." I said stammering and blushing a bit.
"Don't worry I was just joking. I like to play around. It's nice to know how pretty you look when you blush though." he said and pinched my cheek. While smiling like a little bunny.
"Ah, oh thank you." I said smiling wide as well.
"Well I guess I should introduce myself i'm Li Qiang and you are Haley right?" He said while extending his hand to shake mine.
"Yes I am, It's nice to meet you Li Qiang." I said smiling while making eye contact. And reaching out to shake his hand as well.
He released his hand and said "I came to tell you were having a welcoming party for you today. Sort of like a company dinner, I'm going to assume you'll definitely need a drink after dealing with the boss all day."
I laughed a little and said "That will definitely be what I need, trust me."
"That's great! I'll be there too and we can talk some. Here let's exchange numbers so I can text you the address of where we are meeting."
After me and Li Qiang exchanged numbers. He went back down to his floor and I went back into the office with no worries forgetting basically everything that happened earlier between me and the CEO.
Suddenly I felt two arms grabbing me and my back hit the door softly as it closed. I immediately realized what was happening. I was pushed up against the door and the CEO's arms we're on either side of me.
"Did you have fun flirting with him?"
"Yeah he seems nice."
I spoke without realizing who I was talking too. I covered my mouth with extreme speed. And look up at him concerned.
Anger flashed in his eyes and I could tell I was done for.
"What did you just say?" He said while suddenly raising his voice.
How am I going to get out of this?
"I said yeah he's nice to your question 'Did you have fun talking him' what's wrong with that?"
"I said 'Did you have fun flirting with him?' not 'did you have fun talking to him?'."
"Oh. I thought you said something else."
I slid out from under his arms avoiding the altercation with some type of "ease". Which definitely wasn't the right word.
"You'll only get away with that this one time." he said while walking towards me with long strides and grabbing my wrist which made me stop in my tracks. He leaned in close to my shoulder and started to finish what he was saying "I guess it wasn't clear earlier, but your MY assistant, and MINE only. I never share what is mine either so watch out cause I can be very mean."
He let go of my wrist and walked towards his desk and actually started to do his work. Which I hadn't see at all today.
All I could think to myself was. 'Wow am I in some type of drama or something, where are the cameras? No wonder my boss is possessive and everyone here is handsome.
But wait. He did say I was just his assistant so that means he doesn't want me doing anything else during work hours. But there is nothing that forbids after work.' I smiled and walked towards my desk.
The rest of the day went by normally, but I did find out what they meant when they said all he did was yell. He could be very scary.
I went back home at the end of the day and changed in to a velvet black dress that was about mid thigh. Which looked really short since I was so tall at 5'7. I curled my hair and went to the place that Li Qiang texted me to meet everyone.
I entered the place was very nice it looked well suited for a company of their status. The smell of the place was neither to intoxicating or too simple it was just right. It had red and gold seats gathered around different tables and the ladies and men serving food and drinks were all very gorgeous. I saw the group and immediate sat between Li Qiang and an absolutely beautiful girl named Zhang Li. Her black hair flowed down to the bottom of the chair she was sitting at and she wore a dress that showed her curves perfectly despite her being sat down. But I mean of course she's gorgeous her name literally means beautiful. Me and her became friends fast and we talked about random things. She had her boyfriend next to her and he wanted attention so we stopped talking and I talked with Li Qiang for a while.
It was normal conversation and he seemed to be really nice we got along well.
Then suddenly everyone gasped. And I looked back, since I was facing my back to the door.
And of course he was here. I guess that's as to be expected since it's a 'company dinner' and it is his company but it didn't seem like anybody invited him.
Suddenly me and the CEO made eye contact and somehow I knew I was dead.
Maybe he meant more than just being his assistant when he said I was his.
Well that's not fair.
I knew he was crazy.
*sigh*
How do I get access to the roof.
*sobs*
