16 The witch Sanny

We walked for almost half an hour and Dark Star have been talking about the castle and what surprised me how much it was big inside the castle the view from the top Dark Star tower was amazing and gave me a dimension of this place but it wasn't clear how big it was until we were walking inside and see the time it took to go to another tower.

Now we arrived in a vast circular space that has pillars inside that demonstrate that this was the base of a tower Dark Star come to a corner just like he did when he called the elevator the first time.

Dark Star: "This place is different from my tower, my tower is in the center and the foundations are the four main structures of the castle, the armory, the dining hall, the arena and the assignment hall, Sanny and Gabriella tower use the basic structure that is the pillars on the foundation and as they are witches the pillars also protect the structures that drain power from the power source of the castle to their experiments."

When we walked into the elevator the course of the conversation was changed.

Dark Star: "Inchel do you like the cold?" He said with a mocking smile.

Inchel: "Not really we have cold nights in Forest Elfheim and snows sometimes in a year but other than that the elves born in Forest rarely have contact with the cold, I particularly am not an enthusiast because of the period that I lived in the streets."

Dark Star: "So you better not stay too far from me." As he said that red lines surged in his outfit that looked like blood veins and heat involved us and it was comfortable like a hug.

The elevator opened and the place was full of what looked like abstract glass sculptures but after we walked in I realize that was ice everything inside was vast and covered in ice so I think that if I go away from him I will freeze to death here and I think I blink because Dark Star was just walking in front of me but now he is at my side with his right arm raised with the palms pointing to the side.

Then a white wave that looked like an avalanche came forward toward us and hit a red glowing dome that was around us.

Dark Star: "Stop Artic! She is not ready yet."

Right after he said that a sharp noise came that sounded like a cry of an eagle but it was too loud for an eagle, when it echoed in the walls and soon I could not tell where the sound came from.

I soon recognize this cry but I don't know from where.

Soon the white wave dissipated a woman in a light blue dress and a light blue stone necklace with black hair and blue eyes came forward and talked to us.

Dark Star: "Hi Sanny."

Sanny: "Sorry about Artic he just became excited after seeing another phoenix."

'That was phoenix!?' That thought echoed in my head, so that is why I recognized that cry and the scene of the white wave replayed in my head and another thought surfaced 'Will I be able to do that when I strong enough?'

She looked at me with intrigue in her eyes but it lasted so little that it might be my imagination then she proceeds.

Sanny: "What brings you to my tower I thought we were supposed to meet only tonight during dinner."

Dark Star: "Yes, that was the plan but the elf committee showed up today."

Sanny: "Two days after we were attacked, what a coincidence, right?"

That was the moment that I realize that everyone here is really sharp.

Inchel: "Nice to meet you Sanny, I am Inchel."

Dark Star: "He is from the elf council, they are taking us seriously, it makes me feel very important."

Sanny: "I know it does, now that you introduced me to him, leave."

She goes away without even looking back so we go back to the elevator.

The moment we stepped in Dark Star was the first to talk.

Dark Star: "Since I didn't introduce anyone without fame you are wondering who she is, right?"

Inchel: "Yes, I admit that I am curious."

Dark Star: "Actually is not a surprise that you don't know her but you know her master and you do know him by the name of crazy archwizard Merlin."

The surprise in inchel is clear.

Inchel: "That is not possible the crazy archwizard Merlin didn't leave any apprentice."

Dark Star: "You know the legend of Merlin's graduation test, three reached the graduation but in the test, one died, one was crippled and one disappeared, she was the one that disappeared."

We reached the ground floor and started walking again.

Dark Star: "After more than a thousand years I founded her frozen in a mountain of ice, can you guess what her graduation test was?"

Inchel: "No."

Dark Star: "Her test was to tame an ice phoenix and she succeeded, now you know why everyone called Merlin crazy."

Inchel: "Hearing that it is surprising that took so long to put him down sending one apprentice after a fire dragon and another after an ice phoenix, I wonder what test the third apprentice received to have died on the quest."

After that Dark Star starts to make small talks with Inchel and I get lost in my thoughts replaying the avalanche made by that phoenix and my own that came to attack me and all that comes to me is a thirst to know more about myself and what I am, to feel that kind of power gave me the confidence that I needed it to make my decision to stay here even if I have to left my family and my life behind to go search for answers.

I had once made a promise to myself that I would study and now I know where to start.
