Expect the Unexpected

It's 15 minutes before 8, All of them just finished eating breakfast. Some were washing up and changing into more comfortable clothes.

The squad is left at the dining room, Still wondering where the brunette could've gone to.

"It's almost an hour, She's still not here. You sure she won't get lost?" Chris asked the blonde who is sitting calmly.

"Nah, even if she is, There are people that will help her back. Don't worry, Chris. People here are kind." Allyson assured him, but he's still not at ease.

"Have you tried calling her?" Rachel asked as she pours some water into her glass.

"I did, but I can hear her ringtone upstairs." Ethan replied.

"Would you guys chill? Why are you always panicking every time Lauren went out? It's not like she would be missing or something." Allyson said that made them sighed.

"We can't help to, Al. Especially that's Lauren." Harris answered with a sad time that made the blonde confused.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

Chris sighed. "I guess she never told you huh?"

Allyson shook her head. "Tell me what?"

"Lauren experienced~" Harris was interrupted by the sound of the door, revealing the brunette panting.

"Lauren!" Chris shouted as he hastily goes to her sister. "What happened?" He asked worriedly.

Lauren didn't speak because she's exhausted from her trip.

Rachel came rushing with a glass of water. "Here, drink this." Lauren did it without hesitation since she really needs it.

"Let me guess, You got lost haven't you?" Allyson asked Her hands on her hips.

Lauren glared, making her chuckle. "What resort did you reach?" The blonde asked, making the rest confused.

"You little... Why didn't you told me there is also another resort here besides yours?" Lauren asked as she walks towards the dining to sit.

"Haha, It's nice, isn't it? we have neighbors here." Allyson giggled.

"You reached the other side?" Harris asked.

"Are you deaf? I just said it right?" Lauren bluntly replied, Making The others snigger.

"Where's breakfast? Don't tell me you guys didn't leave me some." Lauren asked with teary eyes.

"Of course not, Why would we forget you?" Chris said carrying a plate with scrambled eggs and bacon.

Lauren's face brightens up with the sight of food. "Bon appetit, We'll just get ready while you eat." Chris stated.

The older couple left the dining and went upstairs, They still have a visitor to meet later.

The squad was just there watching the brunette eat. "Why did you leave by yourself? You could've waited for us." Ethan asked.

"It's 6 in the freaking morning, you all are snoring as hell. How can I wake you up?"

The three of them just stare at the brunette blankly. "Are you kidding me?" Ethan blurted.

"No, I'm not. try recording yourselves before sleeping. Tell me who's lying." Lauren nonchalantly said as she cut the bacon on her plate.

"What are you guys planning for today?" Harris asked.

"I'm planning to just walk around and absorb the fresh scenery. I'm also waiting for the visitor." Allyson giggled.

"There's a visitor?" Lauren asked. "Duh! The model they've been talking about."

"Ahh, right. I forgot. Where's the other two?" Lauren asked, Referring to Anne and Damien.

"Anne is probably exhausted, while Damien is perhaps deaf by now." Harris stated making them all laughed except for Lauren.

"Don't tell me she did what I said~"

"Uh-huh, She definitely did." Allyson agreed that made Lauren facepalmed.

The sun is shining brightly but the clouds covered them enough to not cause any sunburns.

The wind blows her red hair as the sunlight reflects on her sunglasses. The white floral dress she is wearing, Simple yet elegant enough to make the people turn their heads, each time she passes by them.

The sound of the ringtone was heard coming from her phone. She didn't hesitate to answer it as soon as she saw who it was.

"Hello?" She asked, not stopping from her pace.

"Hello, Where are you?" The sound of a man was heard on the other line. A sly smirk was formed on her lips.

"I'm somewhere out here." She answered making the latter sigh in disbelief. The red-haired woman let out a hearty laugh but still managed it elegantly.

"Could you please be serious? You left without telling me first." The man stated annoyance was felt in his tone.

"Don't worry, Paul. I'm just doing something. I'm pretty sure you'll ask about him afterwards." She answered.

"You know you don't have to go there just to work, right? You have a lot of offers here."

"I know how awesome I am, No need to remind me." She proudly replied, earning her a chuckle from the man.

"Whatever, Lindsay. Just don't forget to update me when you saw him, Arraseo?" The man reminded. The red girl nodded as if he can see her.

"Yeah yeah. I got it, Old man. Goodbye!" She replied before ending the call.

Lindsay inhales the fresh air as she let her arms open wide as she appreciates her surroundings.

"Okay! Just you wait, I'm coming." She murmured with a sly grin.

The sun is out dashing like the guys outside. The men are all wearing sunglasses, Harris didn't forget to apply his sunscreen before going out.

He even shares it with Allyson and others. earning him a pack of mocking grins from them.

Allyson ordered the servants to put some big umbrellas and beach chairs for them to stay out from too much sunlight.

Lauren was sitting at one of them. Same as before she didn't change into any swimwear. Thinking that she has no plans anyways. Others didn't bother to ask since they have a clue why.

Harris was sitting at the sand, Looking like a child enjoying his time in making a sandcastle. Soon, Allyson joined him.

"Hey, bunny. Lay down I'll cover you with sand!" Allyson suggested, Harris didn't hesitate to do it and to what he is told.

The both of them enjoyed their time playing like kids, While others have their own worlds.

The older couple were walking at the shore hand in hand, While Damien and Anne were already swimming at the sea.

Lauren was just watching her friends have a good time. She doesn't know why she's not feeling well since this morning.

The way she smiles but easily fades away. This action of hers was not kept unnoticed by Ethan.

Ethan has been watching the brunette for a while now. Especially after what happened last night. He can't help to be cautious about her every move.

"Hey, princess. Are you okay?" Ethan asked as he walks towards Lauren.

The brunette got startled by his sudden approach. "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine." She replied.

Ethan sighed and let out a slight smile. "Are you sure? You look pale." He stated that made her turn to him.

Ethan still make a space between them, he doesn't want to pressure her. he knows that the brunette probably didn't want others to know yet.

"To be honest, I don't know. Ethan, I can't remember clearly. All I know is this." Lauren replied as she shows the red bracelet.

"I told you, You don't have to. It's better to~"

"Better to not know at all? Are you hearing yourself? how can I let it be?" Lauren bombarded him with questions that he can't answer right away.

"You know what? I think it is better to not know at all. Like it's better if I didn't remember you. Maybe it would've been easier to understand." Lauren added that made his gaze serious.

"Yeah, maybe you're right. I think it's better to forget it right? That's what you want." Ethan said in monotone.

Lauren saw The Ethan that she met at the bookstore. The Ethan you can't read. all blank.

"That's not what I meant~" Lauren tried to clarify but Ethan stand up from the chair and started to walk away.

But before he leaves, He stops at his pace and turns to her. "It was nice meeting you, Lauren. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go."

Ethan lightly bowed his head and started to walk away. "Yo, Ethan! Where are you going?!" Harris called for him, but he didn't reply.

Lauren knows that this is better for both of them. She knew that if they try to go back to the past, it would be difficult for them to catch up.

"How can we catch up if he won't tell me what's behind it?" She thought, her gaze in his direction.

"Right, This is the best thing to do." She stated with a smile on her face.

But deep inside, She knows that she is trembling. She might not remember it very well, but the feeling was there.
