18 Chapter 18- Dynasty

She was pleasantly surprised as she gasped when she pushed the heavy door of the bathroom and noticed that it was updated with modern fixtures. It looked much more pleasing that the bathroom that she was accustomed to at Duquesnay Park. The floor and walls were spotless and was a start contrast to the yard outside. Fresh smelling with freshly cut flowers in a vase, she instantly wondered if a woman lived at the residence as the potpourri just reeked of a feminine touch.

  Karma was curious as soon as she exited the bathroom and instead of turning left to go back to the veranda, her toes turned right and she feasted her eyes on the artefacts and pictures of an earlier time in Jamaica's History. Pictures of people dressed in fine clothing lined the mantle above the fireplace. However, one particular picture caught her attention of a young woman that looked exactly like her. Karma's hands trembled as she reached forward to touch the frame.
