Doomed

Ending his thoughts Feng Wei and his parents entered through the portal once more, but this time they were entering into the real world. Upon entering Feng Wei's parents both started packing their stuff and getting ready to move into the other world when an important thought suddenly struck Feng Liu.

'We can't just leave this demonic looking portal here, it would cause trouble and cultivators are very likely to enter it to try and kill demons. We cannot move into that world if the portal is immovable. I should ask little Wei if he can move it before we get ahead of ourselves.' Thought Feng Liu as he stopped packing his stuff and entered Feng Wei's room where he was also packing all of his items getting ready to move.

"Little Wei, before we get ahead of ourselves I have a question for you. Can you move the portal? If you cannot, it will cause a lot of trouble." Feng Liu worriedly said upon entering Feng Wei's room.

"I can move it, the portal is connected to me in some way, so upon entering I can completely remove the portal or move it somewhere else." Said Feng Wei. 'Saying that it is somehow connected to me is better than just saying that I can put the portal back into the system storage.'

"That is a relief, anyways, you should hurry and pack. When your mother and I finish packing we will go out to buy supplies and say goodbye to the town. If there is anything you want to do during that time, do it before we leave." Feng Liu said as he left the room to finish packing.

Half an hour later the Feng family had finished packing and both Feng Liu and Feng Li went out into the town leaving Feng Wei at their home.

"I have no friends to say goodbye to, and have nothing to do so how should I kill the time?" Feng Wei asked himself as he began looking through the system storage. Looking at all the items in his storage made Feng Wei realize just how many items he will obtain during his lifetime. He will never be able to utilize all of them unless he builds a sect.

This realization caused Feng Wei's resolve to make a sect to skyrocket. He even began pondering the layout of his sect and the criteria for disciples. "I think that the layout should be something that maximizes defense, so the sect would need to have high sturdy walls. Apart from that it should also have powerful formations. That reminds me, I have never really studied formations. I have always been so focused on studying cultivation that I have forgotten about formations." Feng Wei said before he searched his system storage for everything formation related.

He had many books about formations and materials for them, but he didn't know where to start. Not knowing where to start Feng Wei chose a random book and started reading. The book was titled "Defensive Formations: A Complete Guide."

Two hours later Feng Wei only managed to finish the first chapter of the book. This book covered everything about defensive formations and had over 200 chapters that were at least 100 pages long. Even with his incredible talent in everything he still had trouble understanding the contents his first time reading, but after a second of thought it all became clear.

Formations were divided into 3 divisions similar to cultivation realms. Those divisions were called Mortal, Immortal, and Sage. Mortal being the weakest and Sage being the strongest. But even these three divisions were further broken up into levels. A level one mortal formation is the weakest while a level 15 Sage formation is the strongest.

To make a mortal formation requires nothing other than materials. Even an ordinary person could make level 15 mortal formations! However, Immortal formations required Connate qi to operate which requires an immortal to move it into the formation. Sage formations require the power of a great Dao to operate, and only a Sage can utilize them. That is the reason that formations are also divided into divisions like cultivation.

Feng Wei has all the materials needed for a few level 6 mortal formations, but he has no materials for any higher grade formations! Upon noticing this Feng Wei couldn't help but think that his system wasn't giving him completely random items. First there was the portal only appearing once he started cultivating, and now he realizes that he also never got any good formation materials.

'This is suspicious but if ROB really did something, who am I to complain? I got reincarnated with wishes for free so I suppose I just have to suck it up if he did do anything.' He sighed as he thought about things that ROB could have done without him knowing.

Somewhere in nowhere a mysterious figure is looking at something in nothing and starts laughing. "He finally noticed that I did something! It took him six years to realize that I messed with his system. That took far too long, perhaps his intelligence is lacking. Hahaha, it is always fun making a few changes to a reincarnators wishes, they never expect it." The being laughed mightily as it stared at the something in between nothing. (AN: You ever something somewhere, but also nothing nowhere?)

Deciding to get rid of the thoughts that he will never get an answer to Feng Wei was about to start reading again when he heard his parents entering the house. Exiting his room Feng Wei went into the living room and saw his parents carrying large sacks on their shoulders. The sacks contained various things including food, clothing, dishes, building materials, and a child?

"Why are you carrying a child in that sack?!" Feng Wei screamed for he had seen this plot many times before. A random child that the main character falls in love with, or a random child that turns out to be a devil. There are so many things that can come out of this child and not one of them being good.

Feng Wei was visibly upset with this development and didn't even wait for his parents' explanation before attempting to kick the child out of the house. However, his father stopped him before he managed to kick the child out.

"Feng Wei, that is not how we raised you! We brought a homeless kid here to take care of and you try to kick them out! That is unacceptable behavior." Feng Li declared with a fierce tone.

"Mom dad, what do you intend to do with the child? Have you lost your minds? This could bring endless trouble!" Feng Wei said as he pointed at the helpless child that has now started to develop tears in its eyes.

"We have not lost our minds you damn brat! We merely wanted to help a kid. We are moving to another world, and you will get rid of the portal so that nobody can enter after us. Because of this your mother and I were confident enough to take in an abandoned child that we saw on the road so often." Feng Liu raged upset at his own son's heartlessness.

"Listen sweetie, I understand that you are a cautious person, but that does not mean that you should simply abandon those in need. If someone needs help and you know that it will not hurt you too badly you should help." Feng Li taught her son with a serious tone as she comforted the child they were carrying.

"Sigh fine, but what is its gender?" Feng Wei asked giving up on removing the child.

"Son, you shouldn't have such thoughts at such a young age. It is bad for your health." Feng Liu said with worry.

"I was not thinking that!" Feng Wei embarrassedly yelled.

"Sure, but it's a boy so please do try to be friends. He is only 3 years old and has been living on the streets his whole life" Feng Liu said.

I tend to not think of something as a chapter unless it has at least a thousand words. If you share this same opinion just know that all of my chapters will be over 1000 words.
