5 Chapter 4 Protected or Killed

After they had a complaint about what just happen and they had returned to where they belong and they look at themselves in such a way that it was kinda difficult to make eye contact.

"Are you alright?"

Ruby wanted to make sure that they are okay.

"Yeah, but I just need to take a nap."

Roki went into his room and he had taken a shower and there he would have a vision of a dark nightmare and there he would have heart attacks and he would fall on the ground and he was broken mentally and physically.

"Please stop."

Roki falls on the ground and there he was being poured with water on his face and there he would see a waterfall leading to the sea and there he has seen a powerful serpent and there he would jump again.

"What is happening?"

Ruby came in and told all of the other maids to come in and help.

"Please, get up."

Ruby was worry about him and his mental state.

"I need to figure out what to do about him."

"But what can we do?"

Charl was worry about him but she couldn't do anything about his mental state.

Roki was ball up with a pillow and his eyes were red as a cherry and he was shaken and Apple came close to him.

"Please, don't go into this despair."

She rubs his head and he was trying to keep his head down and it was due to fear and he was having trouble looking at anyone.

"Why? Why?"

Roki was saying it over and over again and he was having trouble getting out of this cycle and then there was a large bang from outside.

"What is that?"

Charl asks the maids and there Annie and Heather were telling them that there was a large crowd outside and they had pits forks and they were coming to kill them.

"Come out devils."

"How did they find us?"

Ruby was making sure that there a reason why they are here.

"We need to defend this place from them."

All the maids wanted to defend their home but Apple, Ruby, Skia, and Charl were worried about going to battle with them and they can't afford to leave this place due to their origin.

"We need to attack these devils now."

"They bring bad luck and omen to our land and children."

"Why are they saying things that we didn't do?" Apple said

"I don't know."

They were starting to come in and they breakthrough and they would break everything and the maids were defense themselves off the attacks and they were making sure that they don't look for anything that can lead to the demon world.

"Go upstairs."

They ran up the stairs but the more they went up the stairs. The more they would get killed.

It was no longer safe for them there and they had to protect their home until they can at least move Roki.

It was hard to move Roki due to his episode.

"No, don't take me out of here."

"But we got to go."

Ruby and Skia were having a hard time and the maids were holding off the mob and they kill many people and blood was on the wall and the stairs.

"Nooo!!"

"Roki, please, snap out of it and come on."

Apple slaps Roki and there was a pause and she said, "What happen to the promise you made huh? Does that mean nothing to you?"

Roki start to tear up and he felt like he was a failure.

"I said that."

"Yes, you did say that and now you forgot what you said to us about you will protect us no matter what."

"You're right."

Roki was having thoughts about the people he couldn't save.

"Those people got kill due to their actions that are not your fault."

"But."

Apple grabs him.

"No, but. You can't save everyone but you can save those who you care about and not those you don't care about. It doesn't make you a bad person it just makes you seem to care about the people around you."

"I was a fool for acting this way. My mom would probably slap me too."

Roki wipes his tears away and he had gotten himself together and he had to help the maids.

Heather and Annie were holding them back but that didn't hold back the mob.

"Heather. Annie. Don't worry I fine now and I will protect you."

Roki had gotten the hang of his demon powers and he had to make a tuff choice to spare the mob life or kill them.

"What should I do? Should I kill them or protect them?"

Roki was thinking to himself to escape without harming the mob and keep them back.

The people that got killed by Heather and Annie. He couldn't do anything for them.

"I sorry but you can't harm my friends for doing nothing to you people but I can't blame you for being fear by us but I hope we can come to an understand about one of the other."

Roki had caved in the mansion and he took the rest to the underground basement and the cave in will keep them out for a while.

"Why do you spare their lives for?" Heather ask

"They were scared."

"They were scared. What about us?"

"I know but I can't kill them or else they just come back and kill us all. I did only what I need to do to buy us time."

"Time for what?"

"To leave."

"So you going to come out your freak show and make all the shot now."

"Heather," Skia said

"No, I do anymore. I tired of running away from my home because somebody scare to kill them."

"Heather."

"No, Skia. I am done with this and they call us devils for doing nothing to them."

Heather had broken down on her knees and her heartbroken.

"Heather," Roki said

"Don't touch me you loser."

"Heather," Skia said

"No, she right. I am a loser that doesn't know anything but I do know that it was a demon that kills my mother and not no fuckin human."

They all look at Roki.

"We didn't know what actually happens to you."

"Yeah, and why did you start to pick me in the first place. Is it due to my what? My father."

"No, we believe you."

"Believe what?"

"Let me finish!" Ruby said

"Okay."

"We thought that you would be the light that shown us what it can be if we have hope to live in peace but if you want to be an asshole about it then you can just leave."

"Ruby," Skia said

"No, Skia, she said what she was thinking and I don't disagree with her."

"Please, don't go. We need you."

Skia, start to beg on the ground to make him stay and help them.

"No."

She grabs him by the leg and makes him come down to where she is at.

"We can't keep living like this. Running away and crying after losing our house to our race and humans. I am done running and hiding I want to fight back those bastards and we can't do without you."

"Why me?"

"You hold a great power inside you that can hold both sides up and can make them came together."

"She right lad," Limir said

"How will I do that?"

"We can show you how to improve your power and control the demon inside and keep the half that is peaceful and kind. The human side."

"Okay. I stay but only because I don't' nowhere else to go."

"Thank you," Skia said while crying.

"If it not on the path that I need to help the ones I care about then I won't stay."

"Okay." Skia hugs Roki and he must first lead them out from the underground basement.

They heard a loud noise and they look through the camera.

"We know you in their devil and how you can kill us and burn our children with devil's hands and how you can take the form of a beautiful woman. We know what you look like. An ugly monster that kills us, humans."

"Who the heck is that?"

"He is one of the world leaders. William Smith."

'Why is he saying all those things for?"

"I don't know."

"Come out here right now. You already kill some of us off and you want to be left alone well to bad that not how it works for us."

"Dammit, we got to move now."

"Oh yeah, if you want to leave from your secret base down below. You will have to go through the people on the other side."

"What? How did he know?" Ruby said

"We can't use that route than."

"You got nowhere else to go at less you kill us or let us kill you."

"Dammit, why is he doing this?"

"You see what I talking about. We must kill them or else." Heather said

"Or else we die."

"We must do it. There no other way."

Skia and the other were ready to fight but Roki was still worried about all this.

"You either come out or else we kill you."

"Okay, we better make this quick than."

Roki and the other had gone through the tunnel and there they see people with fire and guns.

"I see them."

Before the man could say fire. His head was already taken off.

Children were also in the group and they didn't kill the youth but they were killing everyone else.

Heather having eyes that could put fear into any man and she attack with so much laughter and she was smiling while killing so many people.

"You all must die." She said

The children were shaking and seeing the destruction.

Skia would take the children out of this scene and kill them without feeling any pain.

"I'm sorry." She said before doing it to the children.

One of the children was a girl and she asks, "Why are you doing this to us? We sorry that we attack you but you didn't need to do all this."

"I know but we are being that just trying to find peace but you will find peace above while I stay down here and burn away."

"Okay. Please, don't be the monster they proclaim you to be lady."

"I keep that in mind." Skia snap her neck.

Skia cry and she will remember the young girl's word and take it to heart.

Roki seeing the madness that is being unfolded in front of him and he told them.

"We must leave now. To the ocean."

"The ocean?"

"You forgot Apple. We got a ship." Ruby said

"Oh yeah."

They all ran to the ship and they had everything they need and then the people were shooting at them and Annie having a bow and arrow and she shot most of them in the head.

"We're clear," Annie said

"Okay let go."

Ruby sat sail and they head east away from the region.

"You see that my people. They killed us and our children and then flee away."

One of the boys that were friends with the girl look at her head and she was crying out tears and her eyes were empty and the boy looks at the ship with such angry and he swears that he will kill them, devils.

"Brent."

One of the boy's friends had tapped him on the shoulder.

"What?"

"I know that you like her but you can't stay here forever."

"What?"

The boy pounces on the boy and he starts to punch him with power being his fist.

"Stop it."

A girl came to stop them from fighting.

"You shut up. She went out with you and you not sad about her death."

"Of course. I sad dumbass but we can't bring her back to us."

"But she."

"She can't come back. She has gone and you must accept that fact. What power do you have to kill a demon."

"He right. So please let the grown-up handle this."

"You guys don't care about her. I have grown up to be strong and kill them, devils."

Brent ran away and he ran as fast he can and didn't want to look back. He wanted to keep moving forward.

"I will get stronger and I will make sure that they will pay for their crimes."

He ran to his home.

"I think we lost them for now."

Roki looked behind the ship and hoping that they weren't followed by anybody and they weren't and to make sure that they weren't followed Ruby cloak the ship.

"I might like the cloak but we at square one again."

"Yeah, maybe so but we have to need to find a new goal now."

"Skia, right. We need to change clothes and make sure that nobody knows what we are when we go to the grassland."

"What?" They all said

"Yeah, the grassland is empty due to my eyes and there aren't many people there, and it mostly animals and we might need to find a way to blind their signal from us and it might work."

"What?"

"No that might work, but we need to also have to stay close to shore just in case."

"But they might attack us from the sea and from what I have seen is that they will do if they find us and the last thing I want is to get killed for not thinking about all of our options."

"Roki, right," Apple said

"I don't want to stay too long either," Heather said

"She might be right about that," Charl said

"Yeah, I can't argue and said that we going to live peaceful lives anymore. We all need to realize that wherever we go. We are home."

"Yeah, you say that now but wait and see if he keep those words to heart."

Heather was having second doubts due to Roki lost mind.

"Okay, I am fine now and I won't do that anymore,"

"Okay, but if you do. I will slap you so hard that I will probably kill you."

"Oh."

"Yeah, oh."

Roki didn't want to get a slap to try to make sure that he is calm and realize the situation at hand.

They were traveling to the high seas about a few weeks before making it to the grassland.

Roki being through a lot for only the past few days had changed him mentally and physically that he might change his whole idea about the world now.
