4 RESOLVE

Shuu woke up feeling irritated from last night's encounter. He immediately proceeded with his push-ups, sit-ups, and squats exercises. Afterward, he went to his large walk-in closet and picked a tracksuit. He wore it and walked outside the mansion. He was greeted by the employees of the household.

'This place is really big.' Shuu thought as he proceeded to do laps around the compound. Mairo who was washing Shuu's car for school saw this and nodded in approval. Shuu finished his 100th lap easily, the only drawback was the hunger pangs. He went back to his room for a shower, dressed for school, and requested a large serving-unlike his usual morning dish.

Shuu finished his meal and asked Aliza who was on standby for his father's whereabouts.

"Oh, Mirumo-sama is in the gardens Shuu-sama." Aliza replied.

Shuu immediately got up and asked Aliza to help put his bag in the car which she did immediately. Shuu decided to try and conceal his presence and lighten his steps as much as he can. Shuu walked to the garden and found Kanae standing behind the family head in case he needed anything. Mirumo was seated on a chair and admiring the rose garden.

"Kanae, could you give my father and I a moment?" Shuu asked when he was behind Kanae.

Kanae was beside herself, she couldn't believe a ghoul with a distinguished smell like Shuu actually went undetectable until he announced his presence. His father however has heightened senses and could hear and smell Shuu approaching the garden even though his nose was busy with a rose.

Kanae looked back at the patriarch and he gave the nod. Kanae bowed slightly to Shuu and left the garden immediately.

"Father, good morning. How are the flowers faring on this beautiful day?" Shuu looked at his dad seated with his back facing him.

Mirumo stood up and hugged his son once more.

"Everything is fine now Shuu-kun. Is there anything you want to ask of me?" Mirumo asked.

"There is something I want Father. I would like three pairs of bracelets for my arms that weigh a hundred kilograms (two hundred and twenty pounds) each. I would also like three pairs of anklets weighing a hundred kilograms as well. I would also like… That's all I need for now. I think our jewel subsidiary can handle it and make it look like an accessory that I can wear even outside." Shuu said with a straight face.

"Hmm, from the sound of it, it seems like you want to train your body. For what? Who could dare touch us? We are the proud Tsukiyama family, and everyone knows of our might and influence!" Mirumo said with his arms spread out in glory.

Mirumo looked at his son and found a deadpan expression on his face.

"Alright, I'll have Matsumae send the requests to our mining company and have it finished in our Jewel company. Is that all?" Mirumo asked.

"That will be all for now Father. If you excuse me I'll have to leave for school." Shuu said as he made a slight bow and left for his car. Mairo was already inside and started the engine once Shuu entered.

Shuu arrived at school on time and stepped out of his car. He entered the school and was flooded by so many school girls.

"Good morning, beautiful girls." Shuu said but cringed internally, he couldn't help it, he had not only been transmigrated into another body but also inherited some of the traits and personality as well. The boys as usual didn't like the reception Shuu got just because he was rich and had the body of a K-pop Idol. He looked their way and simply passed them. After his three classes for the day, he went to the head teacher's office and knocked.

"It's student Tsukiyama Shuu." Shuu said at the door.

"Come in." The voice inside replied.

"Looking good as always Miss Matsumae." Shuu said as he closed the door.

"Thank you, is there anything you need Shuu-sama?" Matsumae asked as she looked down at her desk and pretended to sort out some files.

"Miss Matsumae, do I disgust you to the point you can't even look at me?" Shuu said with concern on his face.

"Forgive my rudeness Shuu-sama." Matsumae as she tried to raise her head slowly.

"Is it because you barged into my room unannounced? My, I have to say you are really straightforward Miss Matsumae!" Shuu said with a devious smile. That statement only made Matsumae bend her head more.

"Alright let's leave that for another time, the chief said you should send these files to our mining company and have it finished in the jewelry subsidiary." Shuu said as he handed a file to Matsumae who checked the file thoroughly and looked at Shuu. She nodded in response as Shuu left her office to finish up his classes.

His classes ended by three o'clock. Shuu walked to his car but stopped to see a little female student crouching and taking a picture of a caterpillar. She was so still as if she wanted to capture the caterpillar in all its brilliance! Shuu simply smiled and entered the car that was opened by Mairo and left for home.

As they were driving home he spotted the owner of Anteiku café shop along the sidewalk and waved at him. The old man was holding a small shopping bag and noticed the heir of the Tsukiyama family wave at him and was a bit confused but waved back anyway. Mairo finally arrived at the Tsukiyama estate and drove the car to the front of the mansion. Shuu came out of the car and made for his room. He was greeted by the family employees on the way to his room. He changed from his clothes into a tracksuit and resumed his marathon around the Tsukiyama estate.

"Shuu-sama it's mid-day, I advise doing this in the evening. You are still recovering, sir." Mairo said as he noticed the family heir taking off soon after he just arrived from school, it only took a few seconds to catch up to him.

"Ho ho, why don't you change into something better suited for this and join me." Shuu suggested but kept running. Mairo simply removed his suit jacket and wore only a shirt vest. He continued running with the young master, hopefully, he'll stop after one or two laps. Unknown to Mairo, Shuu had set a milestone on his phone.

Mairo noticed Shuu gaining speed slowly but surely as if he were changing gears in a car. Mairo was impressed with his young master's take on fitness but was still concerned for his health since he was probably the first ghoul that fell into a coma. Nevertheless, Mairo kept up with Shuu easily. As if Shuu wasn't serious before, he started taking off at full speed which prompted Mairo to pick up his pace as well.

After four hours of sprinting and six hours of progression runs, the duo stopped and stayed still. The both of them were shaking as if they wore light clothing in a snowstorm. Their body's regenerative abilities were pushed to the max and beyond. Their muscles tore and fixed themselves repeatedly as pain could be seen in their expression. Pain so great they could only stare into the horizon. Mairo waited for his body to fix itself completely while Shuu walked groggily back to the mansion.

Mairo looked at his young master in horror. He was one of the family employees that was tasked with the responsibility for his well-being. If Shuu actually dies now, he too would follow suit since he was last seen with him and couldn't stop him from overexerting himself. Still, Mairo couldn't move for a while and could only pray for Shuu's health. He couldn't even talk or shout for help. But Kanae did notice Shuu's appearance and ran to her young master.

"Shuu-sama, what happened? Hold on let me help you." Kanae said with a worried expression on her face.

Shuu simply made a gesture for her to be silent and refused her help. She didn't back away but followed behind him until he reached the stairs. She took his left arm over her shoulder and helped Shuu up the stairs until they were in his room.

"Thank you. I can take it from here." Shuu spoke as his body was slowly returning to its newly enhanced peak form.

"Don't say that! You don't look like you can stand by yourself. If you want I can even… even… help you take a bath." Kanae said with a blush on her face.

"Not bad. But go, now." Shuu pressed.

"… Ok, Shuu-sama." Kanae said as she couldn't hide the pain in her face and left the room slowly.

'Kanae, that look on your face stings my heart. It's not that I don't find you attractive…. But I'll work hard to make it up to you.' Shuu thought as he struggled to get to the bathroom.

A week passed and Shuu didn't attempt his 190-mile marathon again, for now. He continued with his normal indoor exercises. He decided to check his stats for detailed figures on any improvement he has made so far.
